Jameis Is Coming

October 11th, 2018

Look out NFL. He’s back!

The Bucs are 2-2. With the defense playing as if it will break out in hives if gets near the ball — and about to play a dangerous team in a dome on Sunday — it has all the feel of the 2018 season about to collapse.

And who are the Bucs calling on to save the season and guide them to wins and glory?

Why, none other than America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, that’s who.

In a really cool video (hype video) put together by the Bucs, Jameis essentially asks Bucs fans to back the team and he will take care of the rest.

Enjoy!

  2. FR Says:

    lol lol

  3. Wausa Says:

I think Jamies will play great football, but he is going to have to do a lot to overcome this horrific defense.

  4. Ray Rice Says:

And you MF’s think he’s going to be traded after the season? $hiit! They are all in on the Messiah.

  5. Bucs Nihilist Says:

And you MF’s think he will be traded after the season. They are all in on the Messiah.

  8. Buc4evr Says:

I am ok with the video, at least Jamis is putting it all out there. Let’s hope the defense and their lousy coaching staff sees it and takes it as a challenge. No more coach speak excuses. Just do it.

  9. Dooshlarue Says:

To quote Ol’ Softie93 ……..”don’t make me laugh”.

  10. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Gotta give the Bucs credit. Their photo and video team is top notch.

  11. Architek Says:

Marketing team nailed this production – hopefully the Bucs can back it up this Sunday!

  12. NPRSageBoy Says:

America’s Turnover Machine is back! Fire the cannons…..

  13. Dooshlarue Says:

Oh yeah, what a great job they did on this video.
I can make Gatorade style commercials too.
    It ain’t real hard.

  14. Lord Cornelius Says:

He’s going to need to ball out Fitzmagic style weeks 1-2 and not 3-4 to save this team.

If we want to look for optimism:

The Falcons should be the worst team we’ll have faced this season and are super banged up.

The D typically has done well after a bye – although we have a very small sample size since we had no bye in 2017 lol; but the D was dominant after that break.

We should be the healthiest we’ve been all year.

    GO BUCS!

  15. THETRUTH Says:

NPR : check your stats before talking so you can sound smart !!

Go compare Marriota stats and take away his 5 TD he threw on Bucs opening day it gets worse

  16. '79Defense Says:

Man, you want to pull for the guy and hope all the trouble is behind him and that he’s successful. Really too bad that he doesn’t have a defense to count on to help out. The future of this team is all on him.

  17. Tampabaybucfan Says:

If you’re not rooting for Jameis to succeed…..you’re not a Buc fan. The team has apparently made a decision on him and he’s our QB going forward.

I will say this…..Fitz showed us that you can throw for 8 touchdowns without an interception….

Jameis must play smart…..smarter than he has ever played…..we cannot turn the ball over.

  18. Robert Says:

more hype, say it aint so!!!!

I have 4 free games at the bowling alley who’ll have the game on so JW gets 1 last chance to get me on the train. Jameis aka crabby patty aka gropin gangsta aka it wasn’t me aka FHITP, aka second string Winston better put up a 50 burger if he expects to impress anyone. Look at how good the Igles and saints are. Atlanta should be like playing second string. JW looked great against secon stringers in preseason.

    So we got a chance!

  19. Fartman Says:

    I’m less than optimistic

  20. Ludicrous Speed Says:

Winston’s biggest problem (aside from character) is that he is not an accurate thrower of the football. You may try to improve aspects of a QB’s mechanics, but people who actually know football will tell you it’s a mistake to draft someone with accuracy issues with the hope that they can somehow learn to be accurate. It doesn’t happen. You’re either accurate or you’re not. Winston does one thing well: throw the ball real hard to a stationary figure who is then immediately tackled. Even his 2nd INT in the last game was a straight ball to a stationary guy, only this time the wrong jersey (what was that? Vinny Testaverde color blindness?). But he only seems able to connect with guys who are standing still. He is unable to hit receivers in stride, so goodbye RAC. He also lacks touch. He seems unable to take something off the ball, to put air under the ball, to toss the fade over the defender into the outstretched hands of our guy. It simply doesn’t happen. And as far as those beautiful long throws over the top that our receiver had to go get and then continue on for a TD that we were enjoying in the first two games… Fuhgeddaboutit. Thing of the past now that Winston’s back. Simply not in his tiny toolbox. Now I’m not saying it can never happen. After all, there is a blue moon every now and then. But how many lottery tickets does one have to buy before one wins the big one? That’s what it’s like waiting for Winston to complete long throws. Accuracy with touch – infinitely more important than a gun for an arm, and Winston definitely got the short end of the stick.

  21. Mike Johnson Says:

Jolly good Show here Joe. Give’em hope sir!!

  22. pick6 Says:

the NFL is weird. everybody expects the punters to have the day off sunday while the offenses trade scores with little resistance, but somehow the bucs and falcons are going to play to a bizarre 17-19 slugfest with a couple weird plays determining the winner

  24. Trench War Says:

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, that’s great. Now sustain drives, make good decisions and win. Even if you have to outscore your own defense, no excuses. Atlanta’s defense is just as crappy.

  25. SteveK Says:

    Go Jameis!

We need him to be a BEAST!

I believe in Jameis, and I believe his 19:18 TD:Turnover ratio from last year will improve. He’s 1:2 so far this year, but that was against Khalil Mack and knocking the rust off.

I expect my QB to get he job done and carry our team to a winning record.

  26. Buccernutter Says:

    The king has returned.

Real talk, are you guys ready for this? We’re about to experience the best QB play for an extended period of time we’ve ever seen as bucs fans.

It’s about to be a very exciting season. I have a lot of optimism regardless of the defense.

  27. Jmarkbuc Says:

    What Ludicrous said…absolutely

Hope ME has some injury insurance….

  28. Buccfan37 Says:

Winston can’t hit the deep ball? He hit OJ Howard twice wide open uncontested down the sideline. So there’s that.

  29. Dooshlarue Says:

    That was garbage time 37.
    We were down what……40 pts?

  30. NPRSageBoy Says:

TheTruth: The only stat that counts is WINNING. Marriota is above .500 with playoff appearances. Check the record on America’s QB. He’s more underwater than Flipper.

  31. DB55 Says:

    NPR

Stop it bro. Dude is garbage they play in the worst division in the league and win dispite Mariota. Mariota’s week 5 stats were garbage.

  32. Walter Seidel Says:

  33. Jmarkbuc Says:

and still, OJ had to wait for the ball to get there.

  36. webster Says:

Lol at all you idiots that were reading way too much in the fact that kwon, gmc and evans had a video and jameis did not. You idiots said it was because the bucs were done with winston yada yada yada. No idiots. They wanted to release it week six when your head coach said his plan was to bring jameis back week six. Im laughing at all of you.

  37. webster Says:

And i just got to say npr is the type of idiot fan whos keyboard should be taken away. Mariota won a game this year 9-6 and his kicker had to kick two 5O+ yarders. He lost a game last week 13-12 and 2 of the 4 kicks were 5O+ yarders i believe. So this idiot fan expects jameis to score 4O Pts a game buc gives mariota a pass with 9 and 12 pts? Butt hurt mariota lovers are the dumbest around. Btw…mariota has thrown 2 tds and 4 ints this year and he has fumbled twice. To the “ratio” poster on this thread, thats 2 tds and 6 turnovers. Thats on the heel of throwing 12 tds and 15 ints last year. Hey idiot……mariota is nowhere in jameis league. Mariota has been garbage for a very long time. He wins because his defense is good, a great kicker and running game all things the bucs do not/did not have.

  38. Dooshlarue Says:

Watch out Jameis doubters……. webster has got himself all horned up for his hero’s return!
I hope he doesn’t let us down webster, because then you might feel like an IDIOT!

    Go Bucs!

  39. unbelievable Says:

I’ve been feeling pretty pessimistic about this game based on our sad sack of a defense and inability to the run the ball.

    BUT-

Jameis plays well against Atlanta historically. I believe his stats against them in 5 games are 12 touchdowns to 2 interceptions.

  40. Oneilbucs Says:

Webster some of the people in this fan base rather see Winston fail then help this team win . He is only the quarterback not the wr, not offence linen, nor d line . Just a quarterback. Now wentz ain’t looking to good but no one is saying nothing, Derrick Carr ain’t playing no one is saying nothing. So that’s why I’m done with this debate about Winston cause they are always going to blame him for not winning regardless if he put up great numbers they will call it garbage yards but fizpatrick threw 3ints 1 pick 6 he played good in the second half of the game we lost he had a chance to win it at the in of the game he couldn’t get it done but they never blame him for the lost and they shouldn’t cause it is a team game but the same thing could have happened to Winston that game would have been all his fault cause I’ve seen him with less turnovers in 1 game but that 1 turnover in the first half would have been the reason why we lost even when he gives us the lead late in the 4th quarter and defense gives up the game that’s still Winston fault. So I’m done with this debate he’s a black quarterback and that’s how it always been and will be .

  41. ATrain Says:

Webster who has brought up Mariota

Winston Lovers such as yourself scream for Winston over Fitz so now you got him

Fitz scored 4 TD s first two games so the offense has weapons with a starting QB with the greatness of Winston should easily put up 40+

No Excuse we have seen it with a Backup QB

Tied of the Blind following of these so called Elite players with no accountability
    Elite = Game Changer
    period

  42. webster Says:

    @ doosh

He hasnt let me down. Even if he performs at the same level he did last year, i know thats much better qb play then some who made the playoffs and he was good enough to be a playoff qb. Im not an idiot. I know it takes a team to win and the bucs as a team has not performed well enough to win. Jameis has performed way better than mariota yet idiots praise mariota because your hate for jameis. No need to rehash the facts many have presented to you butt hurt mariota lovers.

  43. Dooshlarue Says:

    For the 10th time webster……. I don’t like Mariotta.
    It’s not either or.

  44. webster Says:

    @ doosh

You most defintely wanted mariota. The reason i know this is because the bucs biggest need was qb in 15 and the two top prospects were two heisman qbs and the bucs chose winston. You wanted mariota because if you didnt, you would not be trashing winston like you do because you would understand the bucs needed a better qb then glennon or mcclown. You bash jameis on every article when he has done things no other qb in history has done yet you praise who has been on 7 teams for his 2 game stretch. That further lets me know you are a butt hurt mariota lover. If mariota didnt suck, you would be the ring leader talking about how the bucs picked the wrong qb. Jameis by far is best out of the two and the best qb in that draft and the bucs made the right pick. If you were not a butt hurt mariota lover, you would be behind jameis and not bashing him every time you post. You are so transparent. Gtfooh

  45. webster Says:

    Atrain

Many clueless fans such as yourself have brought up mariota. Maybe not on this thread but on threads today, clueless fans such as yourself have brought up mariota. You show your stupidity and you show you are a butt hurt mariota lover when you post dumb comments that jameis should throw for 4OO yards and 4 tds because fitz did. What does your thick headed @$$ not understand that what the bucs did the first two weeks have never been done? What does your thick headed @$$ not understand that fouts, marino, the vicking’s offense with moss, carter, reed, the greateat show on turf, montana, the 16-O patriots etc was not capable of doing but yet you hold jameis to that standard do you not understand. Im tired of idiot fans such as yourself holding jameis to a standard that no other qb has ever had to meet. Gtfooh you butt hurt mariota lover

  46. THETRUTH Says:

    NPR :

Only stat that counts is winning and losing , ok I can go with that

I liked Marriota for his accuracy coming out but dude is always injured and imagine behind this line the first few years.

YOUR FIRST COMMENT WAS ABOUT HIS TD AND INTERCEPTION AND TURNOVERS

Also his losing record look how many times he was winning in fourth and defense gave up game.

Tom Brady would have losing record past 3 years with this defense. I’m sure you can see that clearly.
