13 Quarters, 10 Picks, Infinite Head Scratches

October 28th, 2018

America’s Quarterback has intelligent NFL men talking all across the country.

They can’t figure out what Jameis Winston is thinking and seeing on the field when he delivers the colossal mistakes that have defined his 49-game career.

It was the talk of the halftime crew of ex-players on the FOX national broadcast, as well as from former Cowboys fullback Moose Johnston during the game, and it was the chatter nationwide before the game, as Joe wrote previously.

The bad decisions continued as Jameis racked up two interceptions today on the Buccaneers’ first three drives of the game — against a struggling Bengals defense. And he couldn’t get his head together. Jameis crumbled with two more second-half picks before being yanked in the third quarter for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Please don’t ask Joe to explain what Jameis is seeing or doing. But Joe does know Dirk Koetter considers Jameis top shelf and seeing the field and reading defenses.

This is what Koetter said nine days ago.

“I think the thing about Jameis is that people don’t understand is that he really sees the field well. I mean Jameis, anytime when he comes off the field, he can tell you exactly what he sees and what the defense was doing and he is very, very accurate,” Koetter said.

“That is something that is so underrated as a quarterback. Instead of just going back and going through his progression, I mean, he sees it pre-snap and he sees it during the play.

“His accuracy has improved so much over the last couple of years. And that fact [is] he led the league in the preseason at 80 percent completion. You know, the majority of Jameis’ issues turnoverwise are just decision-making, you know, making a decision that maybe is a decision that didn’t need to be made in that particular time of the game. But other than that, his accuracy and his seeing the defense and knowing what to do based on what the defense is doing, I think that’s where he’s taken the biggest jump [in improvement].”

Whatever Koetter said there on the Buccaneers Radio Network means little now. Jameis owns 6 touchdown passes this season complemented by 10 interceptions in just 13 quarters of play.

Jameis simply isn’t playing the way he should be as a healthy, veteran starter in his fourth year in his offense. There’s just no excuse. Consistency is the hallmark of a good quarterback and Jameis is all over the place.

Nine games left to prove a hell of lot to everyone — if he gets his starting job back.

    NEVER PLAY JAMEIS AGAIN

This loss feels better than the bucs beating the browns. Welcome back Fitz!

  3. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Nine games, there is NO reason for this guy to start again this season unless fitzee got hurt

  4. Nybucsfan Says:

    He stinks!!!!

  5. Buc believer Says:

    Cut the BITCH!!

  6. DILLIGAF Says:

STOP with the America’s Quarterback. Seriously. It’s disgusting. I can’t anymore. Please, please stop that.

  7. passthebuc Says:

We need a package trade before next week. JW, Kotter, Licht and the kicker for anyone with brains and heart.

  8. tgregs Says:

America’s thug should go Wasted pick

    We need Fitz

  9. lambchop Says:

Nail in the coffin. Off-field distraction and on-field ineptitude. But Joe, Jameis had 276 yards passing so you can sing that till the cows come home!

  10. D-Rome Says:

It’s time for Way-Miss Jinston to take a seat. The team is better with Fitz and everyone’s job is on the line.

You cannot tell me Jay-Miss should continue to start based on draft status, because that’s the ONLY reason why he should be starting.

  11. AlteredEgo Says:

The whole team comes alive with Fitz….who knows the boneheaded antics Jameis does behind the scene with the team….Jameis has clearly lost his teammates faith in him

    Move On.Bucs

  12. Patrick Says:

Fitz will very possibly lead us to a 9-7 record. Then we’ll miss the postseason by one game, and once again we’ll look back to a game like this where Winston ruined it for us

  13. EEK Says:

    What’s the excuse now?

  14. Mike10 Says:

Jameis sucks. Problem is, give him a good QB coach on a different team… and watch the turnaround

  15. tgregs Says:

    Needs to go. Play Fitz

  16. fudbucly Says:

Time to move on from this clown …

  17. stpetebucsfan Says:

This is not just about “Jameis haters” here on JBF!!!

As Joe correctly points out…the ENTIRE league is starting to ask LOUD…POINTED questions about JW…what is he seeing downfield?

I have been a DK supporter but if this guy believes JW is seeing the field at an elite level and aware of where the defenders are he needs to put the crack pipe down!!!

Listen I get he HAS to play JW because of all the business ramifications which supercede actual athletic competition and coaching calls….but stop LYING DIRK and stop feeding us the lame excuses for JW!!!! Time has run out!

  18. fudbucly Says:

Time to move on from this clown…

  19. Buc4life7878 Says:

Dirk better put him as 3rd string. I’ve seen enough. He’s done.

  20. DILLIGAF Says:

Consistency is there, Joe. He consistently throws the ball to the opposing team. He consistently locks his eyes on the intended receiver. He constantly makes poor decisions. He needs to be a consistent bench warmer until traded or cut.

  21. Bucsace Says:

His wild ride in Tampa may be over

  22. DislocatedBucsFan Says:

    Dear Jameis,

Thank you for all you have done over the course of your football career. We will miss your W eating inspirational speeches, your advice on shellfish, how to express gender roles to my eight year old daughter and your advice on how woo the ladies. I greatly appreciated your example on how to be a hypocrite. I never understood the concept until I heard you say that you must take care of the football and then throw four interceptions. What you accomplished today was the epitome of hypocrisy. Thanks Jameis and the best of luck on your journeyman career.

    Sincerely,

    DislocatedBucsFan

  23. AlteredEgo Says:

Jameis was run out of FSU with years remaining….same thing needs to be done in Tampa

  24. Chris K Says:

Starting this thread calling him America’s QB when he’s no longer Tampa’s QB is basically trolling your readers Joe. Your site… Do your thing.. Jameis single handily lost the game today. And please FSU fans and Jameis excuse makers, don’t do it to yourselves anymore. It’s over! Let it go and we’ll all move on together.

  25. lambchop Says:

    @Mike10,

He’s been throwin picks since college. Even a horse whisperer can’t get through to him! Jameis Winston is Derek Anderson 2.0. LOL. You can’t even dare compare him to Favre.

  26. WalkdaPlank Says:

America’s turnover machine is done. Wish he would’ve panned our but he didn’t. Fitz isn’t the future but he’s miles ahead of Winston.

    Winston = Vince Young

  27. NPRSageBoy Says:

Stick a fork in the FSU Trainwreck, he’s done. For good. End of this sad, sad story.

  28. T REX Says:

LAST GAME STARTING FOR THE BUCS. AMEN. GOOD BYE. GOOD BYE FSU LOSERS!!!

  29. jimmer Says:

Maybe we can trade America’s Quarterback for Johnny Football?

  30. SilverBuc Says:

I really think Jameis was trying to get traded. With his diva WR2 quitting on him and the fanbase not supporting him at all after a win, it just makes sense for Jameis to part ways with the tampa bay team/fans

  31. LakeLand Says:

I have been talking about the Bucs offensive turnover problem for weeks
I’m glad it’s getting NATIONAL exposure now

    17 Turnovers in 5 games

  32. lambchop Says:

Jameis Winston is Kerry Collins 2.0

  33. WalkdaPlank Says:

Rod Munch out here saying it’s okay for Jameis to throw picks because Favre did it!

Try to damage control this one Rod. Welcome to scouting college QB’s with the rest of us. Jameis won’t be a Buc next year

  34. John B Says:

he has to sit, he has looked worse and worse – he was pressing so hard by that pick six – reminds me of Vinny all over again

Amazing throws, then wild picks into coverage, way too high, then a perfect dime for 25 yards – he is who he is….ride Fitz until you can’t

It’s probably over for JW in Tampa

  35. Flatout Says:

Jamie’s. Draft bust. On to the next one.

  36. Brandon Says:

I think we’ve seen enough of Winston to be honest. His decision making just isn’t good enough and his accuracy has been atrocious.

  37. Ugandan Knuckles Says:

Not America’s Quarterback. Maybe he can be Canada’s Quarterback in the CFL.

  38. Ndog Says:

I hope all you haters are happy now we have nothing to be excited about. Congrats it’s over and time to move on. We will be looking for a QB again and with this franchises history of doing that I’m not sure we can be too hopeful. Again congrats, you all got your wish our #1 overall pick has finally fell apart I’m glad you are all so happy. Just like i said yesterday we have some great fans.

  39. Jeremy Says:

    He ain’t America’s quarterback buddy, just Joe’s.

  40. Dirty Bucs Says:

This guy really needs to go. Between the off field antics, character issues, inaccuracy, on field decision making, terrible ball security…do I need to keep going? It’s over. Move on and look for another QB.

DO NOT pay this man 20+ million per year to play QB for our team.

  41. SilverBuc Says:

The Bucs should trade Jameis for Tebow

  42. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

This was the game we needed to get rid of Jameis

  43. Nprbuc Says:

Ja- Miss should ride the pine the rest of the season. How many games should one man, ON HIS OWN, loose for us until someone opens their eyes? He is NOT a quality pro qb. Period. Four years in and he still makes the same bonehead moves he made as a college rookie. Another very winnable game flushed because of him. Stick his overall stats in your butt. They mean nothing if there isn’t a a W at the end of the day. Fitz and Griffin give the Bucs at least a chance at being respectable. No friggin excuse at all for this amateur play from a professional quarterback. He should stand on the podium today and tell the fans “ I am sorry. I suck. This team deserves much more than I can provide”. I am furious that he was even left in as long as he was. Took away almost any chance of out team winning. Go FITZMAGIC for the rest of the year.

  44. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Lakeland right on and they have not made any FA solid additions aside from JPP in a trade nor drafted anyone that could help the defense in a solid way in 4 years with licht….he is a piss poor gm and that defense is gawd awful not the scheme not the coach or ol DC smitty, the players are crap

  45. German Buc Says:

Ich Like Jameis Vera mich, He re-sparked my Love for the Bucs – but this should be the start of Fitz as the Bucs starter.

I really think Jameis was trying to get traded. With his diva WR2 quitting on him and the fanbase not supporting him at all after a win, it just makes sense for Jameis to part ways with the tampa bay team/fans

You are brilliant in your deduction ability. Oh except for that his national reputation is 20 times worse than his local reputation.

  47. Crazed Bucs Fan Says:

Damn Jameis. Sorry bro. In order for everyone to save face. Keep Jameis on the bench in uniform. In the off season let him walk and draft a QB. Good luck Jameis.

  48. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Yeah, that was the dumbest quote I’ve heard from a HC…Fitz sees the field and throws the ball TO the receiver not over his head or behind him. Fitz the rest of the year and Griffin as backup!! Maybe we get 8-8 or 9-7 if the D keeps making the adjustments they have been the last 2 games

  49. Bird Says:

    America’s quarterback.

You guys are losing any street cred by the minute. Yah. We are goons though for seeing his mistakes years ago.

Keep making excuses though. And showing his stats. Pathetic

  50. Jeremy Says:

The fact that a mediocre quarterback like Ryan Fitz Patrick can score so easily shows you just how bad Jameis really is. wake up people

  51. AfrikaThaRapper Says:

Really Joe, the ‘America’s Quarterback’ is like a slap to Bucs fans faces.

  52. Dr. Lob Says:

Winston has got to go, start Fitz the rest of the year

  53. Troy Says:

Chris K. said it all. Winston can’t hold the jock of Blake Bottles, so stop with the America’s QB nonsense. It’s time to grow up and move on. Winston is an embarrassment to the franchise.

  54. WalkdaPlank Says:

    Ndog

You moron you just watched Winston literally I mean LITERALLY give this win to the other team and you still don’t get it do you?

We didn’t WANT to Jameis to fail, because if he fails the Bucs fail. However the rest of us fans know a bust when we see one but guy like you never soak it in till it’s already too late. If Jameis came out here and threw 4 TD’s and no picks you wouldn’t see people calling for his head. But he didn’t do that did he? Because this is who he is, and im tellin ya it ain’t a franchise QB

Sorry it took you so long to figure it out bud.

  55. Dirty Bucs Says:

“I hope all you haters are happy now we have nothing to be excited about. Congrats it’s over and time to move on. We will be looking for a QB again and with this franchises history of doing that I’m not sure we can be too hopeful. Again congrats, you all got your wish our #1 overall pick has finally fell apart I’m glad you are all so happy. Just like i said yesterday we have some great fans.”

    – It’s not a matter of WANTING him to fail. You’re missing the point. We’re upset because the writing has been on the wall. I have been pulling for him to get better, because the best possible thing for Tampa is for us to have a reliable and talented franchise QB. Whoever the QB is, I want them to do well and win. Your problem is that we didn’t believe he could, even if we wanted to, and we said as much. That’s not being a hater, that’s being realistic. He’s a backup QB in this league, and that’s it. He’s a younger version of Ryan Fitzpatrick…and frankly I expect him to be Fitzpatrick in 8-10 years, playing journeyman backup with a “break glass in case of emergency” sign around his neck (if he doesn’t quit).

  56. Buc-Up Says:

FSU homer here and I would cut Winston now because we couldn’t even get a 7th round pick for him.

  57. lambchop Says:

Jameis Winston is Aaron Brooks 2.0

  58. Mike Johnson Says:

Fitzmagic is back for a while until he goes south like he surely will. Then Jameis will step in. Hopefully, this alternation might be enough to get Koetter 8 wins to stay in Tampa. Looking at our schedule, I don’t see 8 wins but one never knows.
Bad day at the office there Jameis. Our Defense is actually showing signs of improvement though.

  59. Red86 Says:

I think the problem with Jameis are lack of varieties in play calling. I can’t remember his last 3 step drop and throw to a slant or drag route. This could take some pressure off the inconsistent pass blocking.

Someone need to get him and tell him to stop focusing on getting Mike Evans stats up. It was obvious who he was going to throw the ball at in certain situations. Jameis did a poor job in throwing techniques with the overthrows. As a Jameis supporter… He did cause this team to lose today. I know Ronald Jones didn’t turn his head on one of Jameis picks. But, that don’t justify still throwing it in 3 to 4 man coverage.

  60. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Dusthty: so the D has a bad 1st half and then gives the ball back to the offense with no points the entire second half until the last 5 seconds and the D sucks!!! How about Dirk pulls JW after his 3rd INT and we have the lead at the end instead of a tie. That pick 6 made the difference in a second half that was all Bucs!!! Come on man!!!

  61. DBS Says:

After this game. No he does not have to play him. It is his 4th year and he is still making the same stupid decisions and mistakes. They have enough on him now.

  62. JameisWin55 Says:

As a avid Winston supporter it’s pains me to say it may finally be time to move on from Winston thing is we going to suck for a few more years which is a sad fate. We will get a new GM, HC, OC, DC, with new QB we have draft picks who all look like busts Vea, Winston, Ronald Jones, Beneoch, Noah Spence, MJ Stewart with an injured leader on D in Kwon Alexander. We not going to be bad enough to get anywhere close to getting a franchise QB this year and no Cousins in this year’s FA market so best scenario is to tank for 2020 and hope Tua falls into our lap!!!

  63. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Oh and 2 TDS in the first half were off JW turn overs

  64. WalkdaPlank Says:

Just because Bucs fans don’t want a turnover machine as their long term QB while they see young guys like Goff, Mayfield, Mahomes, etc light up the league in LESS THAN 4 YEARS…does NOT make them bad fans.

Never settle for mediocrity, which is exactly what Winston is.

  65. IE Buc Says:

Jameis needs to be traded before the trade deadline. He has run out of chances and excuses. He’s no franchise QB. This team is set and better with FitzMagic and Griffin.

  66. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I’ve been a Winston guy since his freshman season at FSU. I regrettably have to say that I am done with him. He still throws high to wide open receivers and throws INTs that legit starting QBs just don’t throw. Fitz needs to finish out the season and we need to draft a QB next year. I hate to feel this way, but I’ve given Winston enough chances. It’s time for him to go. A trade, release, I don’t care. We have to start over and hopefully our next QB starts off like Mahomes. I’m so distraught right now.

  67. LakeLand Says:

I know the Bucs are trying to save face for the GM ,who drafted Jameis Winston with the top overall pick.

But they need to admit their mistake and move on

  68. firethecannons Says:

Coming from a previous Jameis Winston fan–NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
This team deserves better than this interception machine already in his 4th year. Too many good players losing because of his carelessness with the rock. Please get rid of him quickly, no fifth year. Not worth any money besides big money. Not even factoring in his embarassing behavior. Moving on!!!!!!

  69. Bucbeard Says:

Stop calling him America’s QB! It’s over! He’s a bust!

  70. Spicoli Says:

If this regime is still in place after the season and the Bucs have a winning record without Winston, I agree that the Bucs have to move on and find another QB.

  71. rfdes Says:

I’ve seen enough. i.e.it’s NOT happening. He has had his opportunities. Don’t give me the ‘he’s the best we’ve ever had, BS!’ It doesn’t matter if he throws for 600 yards per game. It is how many points does he put on the board. He simply does not have that ‘elite’ factor and never will. Things have regressed to the point of no return, I believe. I’ve been positive until now. He is what he is.

It hurts to write this. Maybe he will prove me wrong, but I’ve been more than patient.

  72. StanleyBuc93 Says:

Longtime reader, first time commenter. F! Jameis can’t read a defense after 4 years As. Keep Fitzpatrick in for the rest of the season, and start the next 5 years or so rebuild.

  73. Gofortheface30 Says:

    Ndog. STFU TARD.

  74. biggus dickus Says:

Trade him for Patrick Peterson and if not, cut him

  75. lambchop Says:

    @Ndog,

It’s not the fans who threw 4 INTs and it’s not the fans who regrettably had the dubious opportunity to draft #1 in possibly the worst draft for QBs. Mariota and Winston both suck.

It’s crazy how much of a toss up drafting QBs in the first round is but literally almost every QB drafted after 2015 has out performed and excelled over Mariota and Winston. Goff, Mahomes, Wentz to name a few.

  76. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Fitz has 13TDs and 5INTs in the same number of games as JW. So we have a QB that can do it until he proves otherwise. Dirk stuck with JW after 6 INTs in 2.5 games so why not stick with Fitz?!?! All that matters is now, not long term. This D is banged up and has looked much better, overall… so Fitz gives us a good chance at winning games!

  77. COREYATX Says:

    Freeman 2.0

  78. FuNkYxMuNkEy Says:

    Unacceptable period!

  79. NoTalentonDefense Says:

The Bucs problems begin at GM, the inability to draft correctly and evaluate talent is astounding. Does Veya really do much out there, I mean, enough to justify a number 7 pick overall? We need an entirely new regime in Tampa Bay. Now is the time when we have some players to sell for a decent return. Try to draft that Grier kid out of WV, use the picks to build a great line.

  80. LakeLand Says:

    Back to the basement

Fighting with the Falcons for last place
I got my money on Matt Ryan and the Falcons

  81. Aceofaerospace Says:

America’s quarterback my a**. If he’s America’s quarterback then trade him to Dallas. Ndog if this website and its fans have anything whatsoever to do with Winston sucking, then he sucks even worse than we thought. Grow up.

  82. SilverBuc Says:

Thank God Jameis will be able to escape this dumpster fire of a franchise. Let’s ride Fitzmagic until the rails fall off, then search for a QB for another 10 years unless the team moves to London, lulz

  83. SilverBuc Says:

Shame that Fitz couldn’t win in a clutch situation

  84. GoBuxFla Says:

    Buffalo needs a QB.

We need 3rd and 4th round draft picks.

    Problem=solution.

Just do it. RGiV would be a better back up than Infamous Jameis.

  85. BrianBucs Says:

    Winston Stinks! Period.
Bucs continue to beat a dead horse

  86. D-Rome Says:

Where are all the “Totally Confident” people predicting the Bucs would go 11-5? I guess this team can still go 8-1 as long as Jay-Miss stays on the bench. That’s the only way the Bucs have a shot.

  87. SilverBuc Says:

We should trade Jameis to New England for a 7th round pick.

  88. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

People have been pulling for Jameis to fail since we drafted him. He played a bad game but doesn’t mean you give up on the guy. But go ahead dumb Bucs fans I hope you get your wish because season ticket holders like me will get rid of our tickets and this team will be gone. Jameis is the answer to this team but we need to support him more vs. ridicule him.

  89. satchseven Says:

I am a jw3fan but I have to agree with his haters when I watch other young QB’s I do not fear the dumb picks. damn JW stop forcing stuff to Evans

  90. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ndog, what are you talking about. Jay Miss failed long before this week. Dude has always been inaccurate other than his national championship season at FSU.

  91. SilverBuc Says:

The Bucs really should trade Jameis to the Patriots for a 7th round pick and sign Fitztragic to a 10 year $100 mil guaranteed contract

  92. LakeLand Says:

    Haters?

I guess Bucs fans should cheer for the worse
    Instead of improving the team

Yeah keep Jameis as the starting QB

    19-29 and Counting

  93. SilverBuc Says:

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best QB to ever grace the Bucs roster

  94. FreeTheSecretWeapon Says:

    2 words… Joe Flacco

  95. WalkdaPlank Says:

87 is right: “Jameis is the answer to this team”

Did we just watch the same game pal, might wanna take the FSU blinders off.

You wanna settle for a sub-par QB fine, but don’t expect the rest of us to.

  96. BuccoDav Says:

    I said it before…

Four years later, we still have the fourth best QB in the division… and he’s our backup QB.

  97. BuccaneEric75 Says:

NDog, at least you realize the obvious, we need a new QB. It’s ok, it took me this long to realize it too.

  98. T REX Says:

Yes…you give up on this loser. Screw you stupid fans that want to keep that garbage. Leave with Jameis. We dont need you.

  99. Anonymous Says:

Jameis will start he had a bad game he’ll bounce back we’re still in the hunt we just have to figure it out and it starts with the coach

  100. Bucsace Says:

Silver Buc- Do you know how to say Saskatchewan?

  101. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Tell me what defense he has played with since being here? Yes the defense actually started to play decent but Jameis also had a bad game. Show me a consistent defense and I’m sure you will see the true Jameis. I’m a UCF fan not a Noles fan but I do want to see consistency, and I’m sorry to keep running people off is the wrong move.

  102. WalkdaPlank Says:

    87 is right:

Hard to play consistent defense when you can’t get off the field because your quarterback wants to constantly give the other team the ball. This defense is not good I’ll give you that, but Winston is averaging ALMOST 2 TURNOVERS A GAME IN HIS CAREER

    2!!

In his fourth year, Koetter might as well gameplan around the other team getting a guaranteed 2 turnovers a game from Santa Clause aka Jameis Winston. Today he had 4!! You won’t win many games when you lose the turnover battle.

Winston is not a franchise QB and has never shown any signs of being one ever. He’s showed promise but promise means nothing when you’re a No. 1 overall pick in you’re 4th season and you turn the ball over every single game multiple times.

    He’s done.

  103. Oneilbucs Says:

Mike 10 you are right this team was a bad place for Jamies. It’s time for him to leave this poor franchise and this poor fan base. Cause a lot of quarterbacks have had games like this more than Jamies. But the main thing is that a black quarterback can’t have games like this so I understand. Andrew Luck have had games like this more than Jamies, Elie Mannon have Bret Farve have , Payton have . But Winston is going to be judged by this 1 game of his career. If I’m Winston eather they let me chose where I can go or I will go play baseball.

  104. Oneilbucs Says:

Let Jamies go to the Pats he will be a Superbowl Mvp quarterback cause of the coaching staff. They will delvope him in to a hall of fame quarter back. Trust me…….

  105. Troy Says:

LMAO! Yeah, Jay Miss sucks because the fans don’t support him. The excuses are just pathetic. Love the apologists on here. Maybe, just maybe, Jay Miss is a bad quarterback.

  106. jerseybuc Says:

Oneil you watched this game and your take is that this is a racial thing?

This was as bad a performance by a Buc QB that I can ever remember. he probably should have been pulled at halftime but got the benefit of the doubt. He got bailed out last week by a 57 yard FG but the man is not doing his job. Fitz rallied the team and you could feel the energy he brought to the team.
If we have any chance of advancing to the playoffs we need 3 to sit down.

  107. Oneilbucs Says:

Troy you can’t name 1 good quarterback that played for the bucs and they kept. This fan base do suck . Who going to be the next victim of this team. If they keep this same coaching staff who can’t delvope a quarterback the same thing will happen to the next young quarterback. I just hope this team don’t draft another black quarterback cause he will not get a chance Tampa.

  108. Anonymous Says:

No excuses he is not Flacco 2.0. He is exactly who all of tge non-FSU homers knew from the get-go… He has the best weapons this team has ever had and cannot consistently get them the ball without the turnovers.

  109. LakeLand Says:

The Bucs biggest mistake was benching Fitz
He was the NFL 2nd rated QB at the time

  110. LakeLand Says:

The new GM and Head Coach won’t be tied to this crap

  111. Aubpierce Says:

Trade Jamies by Tuesday for a cold glass of milk and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and run like hell

  112. MadMax Says:

Get on the phone with Gruden and work a trade for Carr…..we’ll have Fitz and Carr…..then draft a new QB first pick…..I should be the GM!

  113. Troy Says:

Trying to make this into a racial thing is disgusting. I don’t care about this. I only care if you can play on a professional level. Reducing poor play to a racial issue is pathetic. With that said, I have no clue if this staff can develop a qb. Maybe we need to see Griffin to see if the staff can develop a qb.

  114. Ed Says:

C’mon Winston is what he is, Great- 3 out of 16 games, average- 7 out of 16 games, horrid- 6 out of 16 games.

His yards per pass are among the best in the NFL. His interception/touchdown % is amongst the bottom of the league.

  115. Oneilbucs Says:

Walktheplank now name me there coaching staff. If Jamies had a coaching staff like there’s he would be elite. That’s my hold point look at Goff when Fisher left that’s my hold point. But Winston is still young i just hope he gets another chance . Cause I know he can be great with the right coaching staff.

  116. Oneilbucs Says:

And we need to draft the quarterback from west v . Let’s bring him in .

  117. Firrrreee Licht Says:

    Trade Fitz.

Nice series of posts this afternoon! It’s great to read opinions not marred by moronic hyperbole. Well done sir.

    Ndog

I know there have been times you’ve probably thought of me as a Jameis hater. I truly DID want him to be the answer. I root for all the Florida teams so for me…UF/FSU/Miami do not get me crazy I root for all of them. But once a player is a Buc I root for them.

JW has done some amazing things on the field…and I had hope until today. But I HEAR you!!!

What kind of aaahole comes to a sports fan blog on a day of great mourning for the fans and wants to boast about their football acumen and rag on the teams fans for simply being fans.

Trust me Ndog I am as disappointed as you and I take no pleasure in JW’s struggles…

Meanwhile let’s all pause and give up great praise to Sweeptheleg who has pointed out just how great he is at football knowledge. Here’s one for you Sweep…you are clearly not a Buc supporter so do us a favor and go somewhere else…nobody here is going to respect you even when you are correct.

swap the fugger for patrick peterson…i hope this can be done…unless his stock is just too darn low now

  120. GhostofSchiano Says:

Let’s see, defense does better with McCoy on the bench.
Offense does better with wINsTon on the bench.

Hhhhmmmm, well it’s not rocket science now isit?
