Ready for annual training camp report date appearance.
In one week, training camp 2018 begins for the Bucs. And stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is ready.
Veterans arrive Wednesday with the first practice a week from today. In the past, GMC liked to arrive with a splash. Remember last year on “Hard Knocks” when GMC showed up wearing a kimono?
Well, GMC will have a grand entrance next week and GMC showed off on Instagram what he will show off when he hits One Buc Palace.
Even DeSean Jackson rolling up with his white Ferrari might have to take a back seat.
It seems GMC, who has a shrine to Batman in his home, has a custom-made, Batman-styled Rolls Royce with his No. 93 emblazoned on the hood.

You know, GMC likes Batman so much, Joe just wishes the NFL would let GMC wear the Batman logo on his helmet and elbow pads like Batman Wood with the Bucs did back in the 1970s. That would be cool!

I love GMC, but hopefully theatrics are minimized this year and atmosphere is very much down to business. FFF J. Winston has really put all at a disadvantage and hopefully these guys can look all past that under Fitz’s leadeship.

Lots of Bucs’ fans have bad-mouthed ‘Geraldini93’ over the years Joe, but I haven’t been one of them … until today.
Gerald, you set yourself up for criticism with this kind of ‘Look at me – I’m special’ crap. Our young troops fighting over in Afghanistan are special to me. Our police & firefighters are special to me. Quite a few others are special to me. You’re a friggin’ entertainer, but this kind of BS isn’t entertaining at all. This is more what I’d expect out of some of the clowns in Washington or Hollywood. Not impressed.
But you know what is impressive? A little humility for one thing. Doing your job extremely well for another. Plus leading extremely well. And oh yes … WINNING.

It is antics like this and his not showing. Up on the field when we needed him the most that have turned me off of GMC. He is such an ass monkey and such an ego-maniac that he can’t see that this turns people away from him. Can’t wait to see you have another typical MCcoy year….. average.

Richard Batman Wood was awesome, one of my earliest favorite players. GMC not so much so. But liking Batman is OK. More Sacks would be really OK.
One of the biggest differences about Wood and GMC is that while both played for lousy Buc teams, Wood made the playoffs.
Will GMC’s Buc career be no playoffs?

I would rather our players show up in drag than get drunk and party til wee hours committing offenses….dumping on I-275……stripper poles, mattresses in front yards….hitting cabbies or yanking in Target parking lots.

You Guys are tough today. I am much more irritated by some of Gerald’s other antics (“I got to be better” speech, EVERY year; “don’t draft Aaron Donald”, “look at me” I’m crying on the sidelines, flying for 10 seconds after sacks, disappearing for 2 1/2-3 quarters a game etc…). The car looks good and is even a little understated. I assumed it would have been more gaudy and have a lot of red.
Lighten up, many big named dudes show up with a little bit of pizzazz on the first day of camp. THEN, just play well and be quiet!

I guess there’s so much attention on Jameis these days that GMC stories aren’t getting the hits they used to. Not that it’s a bad thing! Usually, it’s the same vitriolic BS anyway.
Resurrection- I’ll take the ‘over’ on 8 sacks. I’m guessing he’ll be closer to 8-10 as opposed to 12-15. I look for JPP to get 11-13 and the combination of Spence/Curry to get another 12-15.

hard to understand the hate. all he did was make ANOTHER pro bowl last year, play through injury despite a lost season, and do his best to make up for 3 other dudes who were either too old, too fat, or too average to disrupt opponents. So he got a little custom work done on a car that costs him as much as he makes in a quarter or two of football.
He’s the Joe Thomas of the Buccaneers, except Browns fans appreciate what they had in Joe Thomas instead of blaming him for a decade of bad coaches, drafts, and signings
