If Jameis is available I’m putting him out there!

  2. Dooshlarue Says:

Even if he doesn’t win but plays well I would keep him in.
    2-1 is fine by me.
The little confidence I had in JW is gone.
    He is s mental m!dget.

  3. rrsrq Says:

Jameis comes in 2nd half versus the Bears (that is game 4, right?) and leads the team to victory, the rest is history

  4. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Only the haters would say yes.

  5. Couch Fan Says:

No hes the back up. Only time he comes in is when Jameis cant play. Anybody in their right mind would start Jameis over Fitz. If Dirk were to do that it would ensure his firing at the end of the season and he would absolutely deserve it.

  6. BucEmUp Says:

I don’t understand these 24 hr flash polls. I see nothing

  7. Lamarcus Says:

    Hell no.

  8. Lord Cornelius Says:

Man it’s so hard to have any excitement right now about this team.

I know I sound like a sh1t fan for saying that; but Winston was a catalyst to me truly believing we were on the cusp of a perennial winner & contender by his 4th/5th years forward. Now I don’t know wtf to feel. I feel dumb for standing up for the guy so much and for thinking he was such a great person who simply had some bad luck with a chick he hooked up with at FSU.

(I seriously don’t care about BB guns and yelling swear words when you’re in f*cking college lol. Or crab leg hook ups. None of those violate my personal moral code at all. Can’t believe anyone ever cared about any of that).

Maybe he is a great responsible guy that never f*cks with women like that- maybe this is all BS – but as the given information stands I duno how you can conclude that.

Just sucks man. This may be the most disappointing moment for me since the NFC Championship Rams loss where we got F*cked on that catch where the ball hit the ground. The difference is after that loss I was still super stoked for the future of the Bucs and the next season. Right now I just feel like WTF man. WTF is this team and wtf is the future and wtf can i root for

  9. Etzel Says:

Tricky poll, as Fitz could sh*t his pants Weeks 1 & 2 and still win Week 3 (Steelers always lose against bad teams early in the season.

    However, NO.

  10. Syl Says:

You guys are being tricked by Fitz. As soon as your give him any kind of confidence he destroys you. Say thank you for keeping us in the picture, and replace him as quick as possible. You do have a chance to beat Pittsburgh because they play down. But look at Fitz record as soon as people place trust in him.

  11. 813bucboi Says:

so what if fitz goes 2-1 losing to the saint on the road but beating philly and pittsburg and Winston takes an “L” vs the browns because he’s a little rusty…..bye week….and then Winston takes another “L” because he’s still somewhat rusty and trying to find his groove….at that point its a 2 game losing streak…..

do we continue to roll with Winston….turn back to fitz….

i voted stick with fitz and i aint a hater……if dirk can rally the troops around fitz, and we 2-1, see what he can do vs the browns…..we’ll have good momentum heading into week4….imo, Winston should see the field after the bye week…..he played better after he had to sit and watch…..maybe that would have the same effect…..maybe Winston seeing his team mates fighting for fitz will make him take his game to the next level…..

you know the old sang….you never know what you have until you’ve lost it…..

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!….#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’m not a Jameis hater and certainly feel his is a better QB than Fitz…..but, if Fitz can win a game or two….he will be more ready in a short week vs Chicago and then we have the Bye week for Jameis to get ready.

It’s not a difficult question for me…..you start Fitz.. ..Jameis needs to sit it out….not to be punitive….just the right football decision,

  13. Defense Rules Says:

@Bonzai … “Only the haters would say yes.” I see Bonzai that you’ve now joined the group that loves to label others. ‘Haters’? Such an ugly word IMO. Most people (including myself) can dislike someone’s behavior without ‘hating them”.

If the Bucs … and Fitz … are playing well after 3 games (IF that’s what Jameis’ suspension turns out to be for his alleged behavioral faux pas), then I say stick with Fitz for the Chicago game. Jameis will have been totally away from the team for 3 weeks or more at that point. Why would it not be better to: (1) let Jameis wait until after the BYE week to start; or (2) come in in relief of Fitz IF he’s not doing well in the Bears’ game by say half-time?

Suppose that the Bucs, with Fitz as starting QB, go 2-1 after the first 3 games. Now Koetter decides to let Jameis start against the Bears (the easiest team of the first 4 potentially?) and the Bucs lose. They’d then be 2-2 going into their BYE week. How many Bucs’ fans do you think would start screaming ‘Koetter blew it by starting Jameis, just like he did in 2017 by starting Martin after his suspension”? Sure would do a lot for Jameis’ psyche wouldn’t it … and for the Bucs’ T-E-A-M as a whole.

  14. Etzel Says:

The best part about these comments is that we’re gonna get rid of the “turnover machine” Jameis. In favor of Fitz who will “take care of the ball”.

Ummm, idk what Fitz you were watching? The one who threw 6 interceptions in one game??? Jameis has never even been close to that feat.

And to the one’s insulting Jameis intelligence…. your klan hood is showing.

  15. westernbuc Says:

Not sure, depends on how he does the first two weeks as well I’d say.

  17. AlteredEgo Says:

The answer at QB position is not on the roster unless somehow Ryan Griffin wows the world next fall…. Fitz is a back up on the extreme end of a NFL career… Jameis is in bigger trouble than most think… and that is Jaooff field problems…. he still has many many on field problems that last years rookie QB class should they could over come in their rookie year. I wish folks could step back and judge objectively, rather than hopefully because Jameis was your dream QB going into the draft

  18. Dooshlarue Says:

    Jameis does idiotic things frequently.
It’s not a racial thing Etzel it’s a mental thing, but nice try.
Now go back to the CNN website.

  19. Maze Says:

Obviously he continues to start. Winston has a lot of learning to do

  20. Maze Says:

    Etzel you’re a massive loser

  21. Walter Seidel Says:

This is the end of Jameis in a Buc uniform. Thankfully.

  22. JMan 5 Says:

Bogus poll allows multiple votes per person

  23. D-Rome Says:

I voted no. This season is going to be one of the most important Buccaneers seasons in history. They *have* to figure out if Jameis Winston is going to be the long term solution at QB and they can’t do that unless he plays as much as possible.

  24. __TGH__ Says:

To me, this answer is simple. If the Bucs brass would even consider this question, go ahead and drop JW now and save themselves the PR nightmare.

If they decide to stick by him through this, he needs to play in order to decide if/how to offer another contract.

  25. SteveK Says:

Yes, leave Fitzmagic in there if he’s balling out. Simple as that, the hot hand gets the rock.

Also, Jameis is going to be without the team for 3 weeks. Why not let him come back and have the bye week to sharpen up? Bottom line, I’m disappointed in JW3’s actions, and Joetter doesn’t have the opportunity to lose games. Sad that our #1 overall pick is ineligible to play.

  26. Anonymous Says:

Lying shamis should never again have the honor of leading the Buc’s.

  27. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I voted No, and here is why.
    Jameis is our starting QB
Not only that but, we need to see him play this year, so we can decide what we want to do with him.
So, unless we have decided that we are truly done with him, he needs to play.

However, if we decide we are done with him, we can’t risk allowing him to play because of the injury clause in his contract.

  28. BuccYa Says:

Tough poll. How did Fitz do in week 1 and 2? What if Fitz played terrible week 1 and 2 and then lit it up on week 3? For this reason I will vote don’t know

  29. D-Rome Says:

My answer was before the news broke on JBF. Jameis is not the future.

    Simple as that.

  30. BucfaninMi Says:

    Especially if he’s 3-0

  31. Lucious Selmon Says:

Yes, because Jameis will have only been back for 1 week, while Fitz will have demonstrated a rhythm with the team.

After the bye week, get Jameis back under center.

  32. Lucious Selmon Says:

    Lord Cornelius

    I’m right there with you.

  33. Mike10 Says:

    Why just the third game?

Because if by some miracle he goes 3-0, KEEP THAT BOY IN

  34. Ohno,again! Says:

It’s all about eating “W’s”! I don’t care who’s under center, in the backfield, or coaching. just win baby! Play the hot hand!

  35. Bucballbaby84 Says:

Darn right you keep playing Fitzpatrick! Jameis should be grounded from the field for as long as fitz is playing good.
