What A Haul!

April 26th, 2018

Thievery.

Joe is so happy he just might dance with Miko at the Commish/JoeBucsFan party — she’s here!

Jason Licht pulled off a freaking haul of a trade tonight, moving back just five spots with Buffalo to pick up the Bills’ No. 12 pick and both of their second round picks.

The Bucs now are able to get some massive holes filled. Look for the Bucs to maybe still get Derwin James and in the second round, a running back, a defensive end and perhaps a guard for the loud crowd who constantly cries about the offensive line in the dark of the night.

Nice job, Jason!

  10. feelthepewterpower Says:

I was hoping they’d get two firsts and a second, but I’ll settle for that considering a team like the Broncos could have traded the pick to the Bills had the browns not selected Ward.

  11. Leighroy Says:

I wouldn’t say no to another trade if you can get another sick haul like that!

  12. MadMax Says:

  26. StPeteBucsFan Says:

We are now deep into “scouting” territory. Hopefully the Bucs have the best info on remaining picks.

  27. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Bonzai, I like how you think! I would rather all 5 of those guys rather than James.

  38. FR Says:

    Vita Vea

  39. FR Says:

With the 12th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft acquired after trading with Buffalo, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bit of a surprise selection and drafted mammoth Washington defensive tackle Vita Vea

  40. Trench War Says:

nice …nice … and we still could get James. Finally one for the good guys!

  41. Larrywoods3 Says:

I’d be okay if we stayed lay with what we have. 3 picks in the 2nd can fill holes in a hurry

  42. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

  49. The Buc Realist Says:

I love it!!!!!!! Called it long ago!!!!!!!!!! This will free up so Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  50. Capt.Tim Says:

This kid will stuff runs and keep double teams off McCoy!
    Good pick

  51. bucsfan1988 Says:

Damnnnn!! NO ONE should be able to run the ball on us this coming year. Vea is a monster!!! He’s not just a run stopper!! He can rush the passer as well!! With he & McCoy, who the hell you gonna double-team now. So help me, if we don’t have pass rushing next year, something is flat out wrong…

  52. Woodford24 Says:

Love it, kids a monster with a motor

  53. Dave Says:

They are going to trade up to get Sony Michel!!!!

  54. bucsfan1988 Says:

Saints just moved up from 27 to 14!!! Here comes LAMAR JACKSON!!! We gonna have to face this dude twice a year…..Drew Brees replacement 😫😩😖😣☹️😕🙁

  55. Capt.Tim Says:

    Now we draft RB, Cb,Safety
And in the 5th Draft Under the radar guard Wyatt Teller.
    And this team will compete.

Feel kinda bad for Beau. But I imagine Vita and Beau will split plays pretty much 50/50

  56. bucsfan1988 Says:

Holy crap, Saints just mortgaged their future for Marcus Davenport!!!

  57. Jason Mclaurin Says:

Joe this is the worst draft and to think we got three more second round picks to suffer through. Licht is a loser man. A DT is the one thing we didn’t need. Man this was terrible. You just named our dline and didn’t even mention JPP either. Picking James was about need. Man I hate we got extra picks I really do. This franchise will suffer for a long time with that move. James went to the Chargers btw where he will not be a good fit. BUCS LOST BITCHES

  58. Tony from Los Angeles Says:

    TRENCH WARFARE…

Keep going. Another interior lineman. Another DE.

FIX THE TRENCHES, FIX THE BUCS!!!!!

  59. Chris K Says:

Agreed! Huge haul! This can be a draft for the ages if we hit on 3 of 4 first picks!

  60. uckinator Says:

Bird’s right ! We get a 5th year control when drafting in the 1st round. We’re giving up two # 2’s for the second 1st round pick tonight.

  61. NFLNut Says:

    ***************

Licht picked up an extra 67% in draft capital according to the Jimmy Johnson scale in the trade down with the Bills … I said he’d get at least 40% and EVERYONE seemed to think I was insane!

    LICHT WON the 1st round!

  62. LongSeason Says:

MJ Stewart is not an interceptor. Will be beat regularly in NFL by speed. Not impressed. He will have to be a no-intercepting safety for him not to do damage to our already bad stats.

Carlton Davis is also not impressive. I’ll nick-name him toast. He has some INT’s but not a consistent producer of interceptions.

Ronald Jones II, I’m okay with this pick. Small for what we might be looking for but apparently plays bigger than he is with good football speed. I think of R. Bush when I see him play, except that Jones looks to be a better inside runner.

Alex Cappa was not the highest rated Guard on the board when Tampa picked, but he looks like a solid pick who should develop into depth this year and a starter down the road. We are not hurting too bad on O-Line. I’ll say I like this pick.

  63. LongSeason Says:

    MJD 5’7″ 210 lb.
    Reggie Bush 6’0″ 205 lb.
    RJII 5’11” 205 lb.

I stand by my post. MJD is a Smurf.
