What the Bucs Are Getting

March 22nd, 2018

Highlights.

This should get Bucs fans stoked.

The good folks of the NFL put together a 2017 highlight reel of new Bucs defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. Yes, he did wreak some havoc last year.

If this is the same guy the Bucs are getting, well, let’s just say stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy should be grinning widely this morning.

  1. Jeffbuc Says:

We are getting the giants first 4th round pick so we are moving up 6 spots in round 4. Not getting the last pick in the 4th like someone kept whining about in earlier threads so this is a great trade we move up to the 2nd pick in the 4th

  2. IsrBuc Says:

I have heard giants fans saying he lost his passion after getting the big contract and wasn’t a good locker room guy. basically saying he is our problem now

  3. Howard Cosell Says:

Lol, the McCoy comment about is hanging over the plate for tmax, Lol…

  4. adambomb418 Says:

    Welcome home. Go Bulls!

  5. Grt1 Says:

This is a win now move. I like it, now no pressure to move up and mortgage the future for a prospect. Now draft best player available like all the good teams do.

  6. Howard Cosell Says:

  7. SteveK Says:

    Exactly JeffBuc!

We traded our third round pick and swapped 4s. We move up from 108 to 102 in the 4th.

    Great move!

I think Licht might be thinking trade in the draft, up or down if the price is right.

Could you imagine landing Barkley, or trading back for Davenport? I’m excited!

Now, can we move the draft back up earlier in April? Such a long ways away.

  8. SteveK Says:

    Lol!

Maths only problem in the Giants locker room is OBJ=head case/big baby!

  9. tnew Says:

Jeffbuc.. some just like to find something to complain about. Now, Buckner, needs to find 10 sacks out of him. This and the Curry move is big too because Spence can develop into a pass rush specialist type. Not have to worry so much about the run.

    GREAT TRADE!

I’d take JPP over Robert Quinn 100% of the time as Quinn is more an OLB than a true DE … he’s even listed as a LB on the Dolphins site and at 250 pounds is awfully light for a DE.

Also, JPP is only 16 months older than Quinn but is WAY MORE PRODUCTIVE!

    LAST 2 SEASONS:

ROBERT QUINN: 42 Tackles, 12.0 sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles

JPP: 121 Tackles, 15.0 sacks, 5 Forced Fumbles

To basically only give up the equivalent of a mid 3rd round pick to land JPP is a GREAT MOVE by Jason Licht imho!

  11. BetterBuccinBelieveIt Says:

    @JeffBuc,

YOU GOT SOMETHIN’ TO SAY??!!! Go ahead and say it. THAT information was released YET, and no one, not even you had it either way, yet. My suggestion was a very wise and plausible suggestion because the NFL did start allowing compensatory picks to be traded starting in 2017.

When Gettleman told JPP in his phonecall “they gave us a trade we couldn’t refuse”…that doesn’t make much sense in terms of only trading a 3rd round pick as “can’t refuse”. BUT, possibly a trade down also in the 4th if we had taken their 35th, would make much more sense as “an offer we couldn’t refuse”.

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/14274468/nfl-owners-ok-compensatory-pick-trading-2017

    @Jeffbuc…

IF you got something to SAY, act like a man and say it. You don’t contribute jack to this site, certainly don’t bring more content to EXPAND the conjecture or conversation amongst others on here. Simply stating an opinion now and then is worthless on JBF (to anyone frankly).

    Go Bucs!

  12. Mike Johnson Says:

Please..No Hype! We need to see vast improvement Defensively performance wise. Not..on paper. To hell with the talk. performance and winning are all that counts. Better win Koetter!

  13. DBBUC Says:

The talk on another thread had to do with was it a compensatory that was traded.
Unless I am mistaken or something has changed compensatory picks cant be traded.
Yes, they can be traded. The rule has changed. –Joe

  14. Matt Says:

Million $$ says Giants go after Chubb in the draft!

  15. BetterBuccinBelieveIt Says:

    🙂 🙂

    You hacks on here….

Some are not. But many are.

    🙂

    Go Bucs!

  16. RawBucsFan Says:

GREAT move!!! All the naysayers please be quiet!! JPP, Curry, Gholston, Spence make the Bucs deep at DE!! It also creates COMPETITION which is what we truly lacked especially on defense. Licht has set us up to take best player at 7 (Barkley, Nelson, James, Fitzpatrick) or move back for additional picks. No one can criticize this move. Let’s see what we get in the draft, RB & Secondary now the priority. The rest is up to the coaching staff to figure out!!

  17. darin Says:

    Nflnut
I disagree but i still like the move. Needed someone who can bring heat. Bucs assume 17.5 mil cap hit this yr alone for jpp. Licht definitely agrees with you. Giving up a 3rd and 17.5 mil this yr says it all. I hope he brings it. Finally a pass rusher!! Go bucs

  18. ArgYeMaties Says:

Welcome to the Bucs Jason Pierre Paul! 😎 #GoBucs

  19. Skoorb43 Says:

Did anyone notice in the video how he actually touches quarterbacks. Amazing

  20. Lord Cornelius Says:

JPP having ties to USF is a nice underrated bonus in all of this. I’d think getting moved and coming back to Tampa is good motivation to ball out back home

  21. ChanEpic Says:

Big dollars for sure but we now have, the potential at least, for real depth at the pass rusher position. Not to mention, Mr. McCoy should also thrive with edge help. I like this move a lot, hopeful I’ll love it by this time next year.

  22. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Mike Johnson

Yeah man you said. No matter what moves we make I made a promise to myself to never buy into any kind of off season hype ever again.

I still have very little confidence in Koetter to generate more than 21 points a game, and even less confidence in Mike Smith to field a competent defense.

That being said, JPP and Vinny Curry should do a much better Job of collapsing the pocket than Will Gholston and Ryan Russel. Solid pick ups by Licht. So that’s nice.

  23. ClodHopper Says:

    Meh

  24. LakeLand Says:

The Bucs traded the 69th pick in the draft

And they have to pay JPP $39 million for 3 seasons

    And people are actually hyped

    LOL

    Life of BOTTOM FEEDERS

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    IsrBuc Says
“I have heard giants fans saying he lost his passion after getting the big contract…”

Let me ask you something…does a man who loses his finger and could have lost his career sound like he would lose his passion after getting money…for the second time in his career?

If 8.5 sacks is JPP losing his passion, I’ll take it.

  26. OneBucPerson Says:

Still think JPP at this point in his career than a guy who can play over 90% of the defensive snaps, like he had to last year, but he’s a huge improvement over what we had. The bonus of this is since he doesn’t have any more guaranteed money left in his big contract we can either cut him or pressure him to resign to less money after this season.

  27. LakeLand Says:

JPP will never be the player he was before his hand injury. He’s declining, you don’t trade the 69th pick for a ” declining” player.

Then pay him $13 million a year

    That’s ludicrous

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    LakeLand Says
    “And people are actually hyped”

You need to decide what you want out of this team. Look at it this way…Chris Sims. Who is better, Sims of JPP?

Because we got both for a third rounder.

And so far as the pay?

  29. DBS Says:

Much like Life of the cry babies. Who spend every second of the day trying to find something to cry about.

  30. nate_tweetz Says:

JPP is a Julius Peppers type of athlete. 29 years old is NOT washed up people! Licht, Dirk, and the Glazers want to win now! Don’t you? Stop worrying about a 3rd round pick that may develop into a contributor 2 or 3 years from now. Get the pieces you need to compete this year! I’m tired of building for the ‘future’. Trade down and get Davenport on the other end of the DL. Use your 2nd round pick on Sony Michel or a DB, and pick a RB/DB in the 3rd from the pick acquired trading down in the 1st.

  31. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Jason Pierre-Paul has dead cap space after this year…so you are wrong. The Bucs are not stuck with his contract for three years…unless they decide he is worth it.

    And he will be.

  32. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Take Vea in the draft and boom.

  33. 813bucboi Says:

    NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

    we have talent!!!!!!!…..we have depth!!!!!!!

pressures on the coaching staff now!!!!!!

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!…..NOPASSESIN2018!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!!

  34. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    LakeLand Says
“JPP will never be the player he was before his hand injury. He’s declining, you don’t trade the 69th pick for a ” declining” player.”

He had the most sacks that he’s had in three years last year. How is that declining???

He had injuries issues for two years and then overcame them.

Face it, Lakeland, you are wrong on this one.

  35. nate_tweetz Says:

@Lakeland… The “declining” player you’re talking about had more than a third of sacks than the Bucs recorded as a team last year. Did you think you were going to get a 2x probowl edge rusher for under $10 mil (yes, I know he’s getting 12)? Vinny Curry got $9 mil per. C’mon man.

  36. johnnybuc Says:

first play he’s lined up wayyyy offside lmaoooo but obviously super exicted about the trade arguably the most talented guy mccoy has got to play with ,, we will see what he is able to do with it … might need to look into that contract if he balls out this year and we are thinking of keeping him, that’s a fat cap hit with a lot of guys due to get paid .

  37. NFLNut Says:

    *******************

    UPDATED MOCK:

    BROWNS: SAM DARNOLD
GIANTS: JOSH ROSEN (I think they turned down Jets offer as they want a QB)
    JETS: BAKER MAYFIELD
BILLS (trade with Browns): JOSH ALLEN
    BRONCOS: QUENTON NELSON
    COLTS: BRADLEY CHUBB
    BUCCANEERS: SAQUON BARKLEY

If however, Saquon/Chubb/Nelson are all off the board, the last remaining of the top 4 QBs will still be there and we SHOULD try to trade down. For example, perhaps the Bills can’t trade up into the top 6 and the Browns grab Saquon Barkley at #4 … Josh Allen would still be on the board and we could trade the #7 to the Bills for the #12, #22 and #96.

We have a ton of options now:

    STAND-PAT OPTIONS:

#7 Saquon, Nelson, Chubb, Minkah, Ward or Derwin – THAT’S IT!
#38 Will Hernandez, Arden Key, Nick Chubb, Ronnie Harrison, etc.
#102 RJ McIntosh, Tony Brown, Josh Sweat, DeShone Elliott, etc.
#144 Chad Thomas, Kendrick Norton, Holton Hill, Kyzir White, etc.
#180 Bo Scarborough, Roc Thomas, JC Jackson, etc.
    #202 DJ Reed
    #255 BPA

I LIKE: Saquon, Hernandez, McIntosh, Thomas, Jackson, Reed and BPA

    TRADE w/ BILLS OPTIONS:

#12 Derwin, Davenport, Vea, Payne, Joshua Jackson, McGlinchey, etc.
#22 Guice, Payne, Bryant, Joshua Jackson, Mike Hughes, Sam Hubbard, etc
#38 Will Hernandez, Arden Key, Nick Chubb, Ronnie Harrison, etc.
#96 Derrick Nnandi, Harrison Phillips, Frank Ragnow, Anthony Averett, etc
#102 RJ McIntosh, Tony Brown, Josh Sweat, DeShone Elliott, etc.
#144 Chad Thomas, Kendrick Norton, Holton Hill, Kyzir White, etc.
#180 Bo Scarborough, Roc Thomas, JC Jackson, etc.
    #202 DJ Reed
    #255 BPA

I LIKE: Derwin, Guice, Hernandez, Nnandi, Brown, Thomas, JC, Reed, BPA

I WISH THE DRAFT WAS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. OneBucPerson Says:

I meant to say JPP is a situational pass rusher instead of a guy who can play over 90% of the team’s defensive snaps.

  39. LakeLand Says:

I’m crying….just like I have cried about most of the Bucs moves. But guess what…..most of the time I’m right. Go back and look at my track record. I cried last season about the DeSean Jackson, Chris Baker signing. I cried about the Vernon Hargreaves pick. I cried about drafting Roberto Aguayo. I cried about the Anthony Collins, Michael Johnson signings. I cried about re-signing Will Gholston. I cried about trading for Darrelle Revis. I cried about drafting Mike Evans over Aaron Donald…….but guess what……I’m going to keep crying……until the tears are gone.

  40. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    DBBUC Says
“The talk on another thread had to do with was it a compensatory that was traded.”

Compensatory picks come at the end of a round. Both forth rounders swapped are at the beginning for the forth round (#2 & #7)

  41. AKick'nTheBucNuts Says:

Watching that video…with those swooping arms, reminds me of Rice. Just what is Paul’s arm reach?

  42. Sydney Says:

Your next informed intelligent comment will your first —–>”LakeLand Says:”

  43. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Lakeland

Go cry in a corner by yourself. Because no one wants to hear you bellyache about the Bucs spending a 3rd round pick to acquire a DE who played in 16 NFL games last season and racked up 68 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.

Who are they gonna get in the 3rd round with that kind of resume?

Take a step back out from under that little black rain cloud that follows you around. This is a good move but you can’t see that because it’s in your nature to view any move as a negative one.

  44. buc15 Says:

This is a huge upgrade to what we currently have.

  45. LakeLand Says:

    Vinny Curry $7 million
    Beau Allen $ 5 million
    Mitch Unrien $ 3.5 million
    JPP $ 12.5 million
    Gerald McCoy $12.2
    Will Gholston $6.5

That’s over $46 million invested in this DL

  46. Bucsfanman Says:

It’s a GOOD move. Whether it’s a great move remains to be seen. On paper we improved drastically, ON PAPER.
LakeLand- The good news about JPP’s contract is that only this year is guaranteed, $11 mil I think. If he doesn’t work out, bye Felicia next year with no cap hit.
    Good move.

  47. LakeLand Says:

But as usual….The DELUSIONAL Fans will look stupid in December.

    Lakeland
IT’s NOT YOUR MONEY!!!! It won’t hurt your checkbook!!!!

  50. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @Lakeland

The only people who can make acquiring JPP look like a bad move are Dirk Koetter and Mike Smith. From a talent/ skills standpoint this move is a no brainer. That doesn’t mean our coaching staff can actually formulate a winning game plan.

Sorry dude, but you are the one mired in delusion in this case.

  51. NFLNut Says:

    **************

An interesting question is what will the Bucs do if the 4 QBs, Saquon and Nelson all go in the top 6 and Bradley Chubb is the guy still on the board at #7 … do they take him or pass on him for a guy like Minkah?

I’d still take Chubb and give the team an insane 4-DE rotation of JPP/Chubb/Curry/Spence … that could be the biggest one year turnaround in a DE rotaion in NFL history from the sorry group we had in 2017 to THAT dynamic foursome in 2018 …

    **************

  52. LakeLand Says:

    Bucfanman,

They traded the 69th draft pick

I said the same thing when they traded for Logan Mankins

They got two good years from Mankins, but they still sucked

New England drafted DE Trey Flowers with that pick

I would take Flowers over JPP, any day of the week

Like I said…I will wait until December

  53. DB55 Says:

What’s gonna suck for jpp is going from playing with one of the best DTs in the league to McIceCream. That sucks for jpp.

  54. LakeLand Says:

    DB55,

You know I’m going to get the last laugh

Then they will be calling me a troll as usual

LOL, It’s coming, all I have to do is wait

  55. SOEbuc Says:

    LakeLand

“That’s over $46 million invested in this DL”

Making moves this year to be able to make moves next year. And build through the draft. Fixing the trenches.

  56. SOEbuc Says:

    And cut Will Gholston

  57. DB55 Says:

Just to be clear I like the move cuz he’s a bull and a giant. A giant great if may be so bold. I’m totally bias on this one. The 17 mil cap hit is a mf but wtfdik.

He should wear #97 just to fck with our heads.

  58. Tony from L.A. Says:

    Look folks,

I’ve ben saying the exact same thing for months. the Bucs needed to focus on one thing and ONLY one thing this offseason.

    FIX THE TRENCHES!

No – they do not need to trade all of their assets to get the latest RB of the century
No – they do not need to waste all of their free agent money signing DB’s that would’ve ben busts if left to wither and die behind what the pass rush the Bucs had at the start of the offseason

They couldn’t possibly fix all that ails them in one offseason.
    BUT
    BUT
    BUT
They could fix the biggest and most important issue.

They’ve brought in 4 new defensive lineman and a really solid offensive lineman.
    They’re close.
    But not finished.

The Bucs will be wise to bring in another young defensive end with their first or second round pick AND at least one more interior offensive lineman with the other pick.

    RB can be found later.
DB’s can be found and the incumbents WILL improve with a better pass rush.
Great work thus far. More still needs to be done.

KEEP FIXING THE TRENCHES AND YOU WILL FIX THE BUCS!!

  59. Bucsfanman Says:

LakeLand- True, but it gives them more flexibility with that #7 pick if the guys we want aren’t there. It’s not the most exciting move, but we got better.
Come December, this team better be competing for a playoff spot, regardless of this move.

DB55- JPP will have to be careful that Gerald doesn’t mistake that cast for an ice-cream cone!!!
    Too soon?!

  60. DB55 Says:

    Lake

You’ve earned your stripes. Plus, it’s not like they can reach through the screen and hit cha so………

Hey you guys remember that moron Hawaii. Glad he’s gone.

  61. D-Rome Says:

I like the move. It’s an upgrade. I have no complaints. Concerns for sure, but no complaints. If the Bucs fail this season I think we can all look back at this free agency and say that Jason Licht tried.

  62. NFLNut Says:

I have no problem with Lakeland’s pessimism … it’s based on a long string of disappointing seasons for Tampa … I just think he’s wrong on how he evaluates certain players and trades at time …he’s sincere though and not just a “Gameday troll” so it’s all good …

  63. Eric Says:

I remember well the last decade + ineptitude before Tony took over and very, very few people were excited about him coming in as head coach.

and that was a 15 year run of no winning seasons, and no playoffs. Didn’t even sniff the playoffs a single year.

A turn around can happen, no rule against it.

I feel it coming. A great draft and we are right there. This coaching staff did produce one winning season. Last year may be the anomaly. Go Bucs.

  64. Bradinator Says:

Funniest thing about this trade as I look over the national news is all the talking heads saying Bradley Chubb to the Giants since they are switching to a 3-4. Chubb is a 4-3 DE. He’s like the poster child for that. Giants have no run game, and they are going to pass on Barkley or Nelson for a DE that does not fit the new scheme? Sounds lame to me. I cannot believe we got JPP. It’s like Christmas in March. I’m trapped at work in Denver and no one here cares. I got no one to celebrate with.

  65. Kansas95Buc Says:

If the move pan out is yet to be seen but at least the dline is being addressed, now to see if we can gather more sacks

  66. NFLNut Says:

    You got us Bradinator!!

  67. Pickgrin Says:

For anyone saying or thinking they would have rather had Quinn – consider that JPP is under contract for 3 more years (no guarantees beyond 2018) – Quinn just for 2. Roughly the same $ although JPP is a bit less this year at $11.25M.

Both had 8 1/2 sacks last year – but JPP had 68 tackles with 5 passes defensed (batted down) and 27 “hurries” – vs 32 tackles, 0 PDs and 13 “hurries” for Quinn.

JPP had the much better year in 2017 and Quinn had serious injury issues the 2 previous seasons as well (2015 & 2016)

  68. Eric Says:

For those that don’t recall the 83-97 bucs records were:

    2-14
    6-10
    2-14
    2-14
    4-11
    5-11
    6-10
    3-13
    5-11
    5-11
    6-10

  70. JAB83 Says:

GLAD EVERYON IS SLEEP ON BIG WILL GOLHSTON….

The DLine is about as stacked as we have seen it…

DEs Will G and JPP complement each other. As dose Curry and Spence.

The inside is anchored by GMC. Which is to say he holds up to all the best DTs in the game. Add in run stoppers and smart teammates.

Aint no one running on us this year.

Jason Forrest Gump selling his soul to the Devil

Its very clear now, Gump is selling Tampas future (draftpicks under rookie contracts) to do whatever to attempt to win this coming 1 season(the hell with 2019 and beyond)…to save his rear end

“This is not how to build a championship team”

    Kobe Faker

“We should be trading GMC,LVD, and Djax for draft picks and not the complete opposite…we must lose to win”

  72. Joe Says:

GLAD EVERYON IS SLEEP ON BIG WILL GOLHSTON….

You mean he might blow up and have three sacks this season?

Let’s call Canton and get that bust ready for him.

It’s very difficult to remember a guy who is totally invisible on passing downs.

  73. Pickgrin Says:

“You mean he might blow up and have three sacks this season?”

LOL Joe. Seriously though – I can’t help but think that Buckner asked for a chance to work with Gholston for at least one more year and see if he can turn this guy into a legit pass rusher to go along with his good run stuffing capabilities.

What else could possibly explain keeping Will Gholston and his $6.5M cap hit after he failed miserably to play up to his $7M salary last year?

  74. BushidoEvans Says:

@LakeLand why would your crying ever turn into laughter? You’re a fan right, specifically a bucs fan, no? Dude, just wait and see what happens, I’m not saying be excited, just wait and see. I said wait and see at the beginning of this off season and I’ve been surprised. If every move makes you upset, then maybe you should not watch the Bucs for a while? Or choose to watch a different franchise and that’s not sarcasm, why let this cause you mental anguish, this is just advice from one human to another my man.

  75. JAB83 Says:

His talent was groomed and used for run D Joe

I like his chances of taking his talents to the next level now that he has a TEAM of run stuffers and a mentor like JPP and Curry…

The guy is raw. Thats what got him paid… IE Davenport

Just saying, dont sleep on the beast child… (Only BC on the moves JL has made do I fully believe WG is the biggest benefactor.)

  76. JAB83 Says:

For the record. Will is 6’6″ and 280 lbs. Why give up on a talented big dude like that?

If anything he was the first sign of JL and Smitty tipping thier hand as to how they wanted to build this DLine.

Run Defense wins Championships!!! Not Sacks/pass Defense…

    Dont believe me???

  77. JAB83 Says:

    #12ManRising

  78. StPeteBucsFan Says:

How people are not excited by this move amazes me.

Again…as the son of a bookie I look at life in odds.

The odds of a superstar DE coming out of the draft…even Chubb and putting up 8.5 sacks his rookie year are pretty long.

The odds of Noah Spence healing his shoulder and getting 8.5 sacks are a lot better. If he’s healthy Spence will get the sacks. He go 5.5 his rookie year with that bum shoulder.

The odds of JPP simply repeating his season from last year…he’s not a one season wonder…or one of his two Pro Bowl seasons are the best odds of all. Nothing is certain but JPP getting his 8.5 is the most likely story on our entire defense.

Now football is a team sport. There is a synergy. People have always talked about how getting better players for our Dline would allow GMC to reach his potential. The reverse is also true. GMC inside of JPP will make JPP better as well. Now mix in our two new FA’s…a healthy Spence and we’d have a scary defensive line. Can’t run against them and now we have three guys who can get after the passer…and that doesn’t count the draft and the possibility of adding Chubb to this mix.

  79. Gottajaboo Says:

Lakeland is dead wrong. Solid move.

  80. Duke Says:

    What are the Bucs getting?

For one, a spokesman for firework safety.
Two, a guy who has to pull his shoes off to count to ten wins.
A player who is never gonna say…..on the other hand.
A guy who is always going with the bird in hand.
    A one-way toll booth attendant.

You like to twist the facts to fit your opinion i see. The bucs pick in the 3rd round was the 5th overall. Thats a high 3rd not a mid. Teams with same records alternate in rounds. Robert quinn is 6’5 265. He is listed as a lb on the dolphins site because guess who enters that info? Thats right we dont know. Probably an office lady who looked at tbe rams site to get his info. He WAS a lb on the rams because they ran a 3-4 last year. The phins run a 4-3 and he will be strictly a DE. Thats why they made the trade the rams switched from 4-3 to 3-4 before last year and he was playing out of position. He was also hurt until later part of last year, then had 6 sacks in last 5 games. My guess is licht learned his lesson from trying to lowball the rams. Glad he did. Good pick up but lets not twist the facts because you like him more than quinn. Not to mention jpp will cost 6 mil more this yr. N lets also not dance around the fact he is missing part of a hand. I hope he tears it up but mu guess is quinn gets back to all pro form at the DE position. Ive seen both these guys play alot.

Man I’ve been wanting jpp back in Tampa. Dudes a physical freak and brings some nasty. The missing fingers don’t matter he needs to bat the ball down not catch it. I can’t see a reason to be upset about this best non draft move Licht has made yet.

    Darin,

Good points but Quinn’s play was at DE . Just saying he played de in the 3-4 scheme. The fact that He is going to a 4-3 team is a big plus for him as he is not a package player anymore.

Also, I think NFL is right about the weight But honestly 15 lbs isn’t that big a swing to add quick. If He’s 250 now, 265 is not a big deal by season.

Why are the dumbest commenters the most vocal and adamant about trying to defend their ignorance??? Silly…

Great move signing JPP. Hopefully it works out well.

We have now officially had a tremendous free agency period.

This was a great trade. Licht really came on strong. Not a whole lot of complaining about Licht landing Jensen, Curry, JPP and a couple of run stuffers. This move has me pumped up. We landed JPP who I prefer over Quinn and Bennett all day, every day and it only cost us a 3rd rd pick while moving up a few spots in the 4th. Nice work.
