Tom Brady Delivered A Message To Gerald McCoy

February 3rd, 2018

Gerald McCoy sent a message to Tom Brady, and then Brady fired back.

The Super Bowl is upon us and, surprise, the Patriots are back in the game.

Back on Oct. 5, those Patriots were playing in Tampa on Thursday Night Football.

It was an odd game. New England was marching up and down the field, with Tom Brady completing 30 of 40 passes and the Patriots running the ball comfortably. On second thought, that was a typical game for the Bucs defense.

Regardless, the Bucs had their share of strong moments on defense, which is why New England only scored 19 points in their 19-14 win.

Among those moments were Gerald McCoy getting to Brady. On the national Dan Patrick Show weeks ago, McCoy shared how his hit drew a reaction from Brady, who rarely talks to his opponent.

“I got to Brady early in the game,” McCoy said. “It wasn’t a sack but I hit him. And, you know, I got up to run off and he kind of looked back like, ‘Who just hit me?’ And he looked at me he was like, ‘Keep bringin’ it.’ And just like, with a straight face. And I’m like, ‘Golly.’ (laughs) You know, he just with a straight face unbothered, he was like, ‘Keep bringin’ it.” And that was it, and I was like, ‘Ok. Alright. Sure.'”

Of course, lots of Bucs fans won’t like this take from McCoy. That anti-McCoy faction will say he should have snarled back at Brady and barked a crude mama joke, or told Brady he was going to rip his eyeballs out next time.

Regardless, it was a neat nugget from a lost season, as Bucs fans try to figure out just how far away the Bucs are from being champions like New England.

The Anti Mccoy faction doesn’t know much about football. Plus if ya dont love yourself you sure arent gona like others. N that was a strange game indeed. I’d love to say the bucs are close but hard to believe in the regime after that disaster. Hopefully it was a learning experience.

Brady likes Ice cream, he was simply asking for more, lmao!

Sad when a 40yr old QB is tougher than your franchise Defensive Tackle.

I want to be an actor bc I don’t like getting hit. It hurts to get hit. – geraldini McIceCream

  3. Bird Says:

    ^^^^^

The best is listed above. D bag. Rips McCoy for being inconsistent and not showing up in big games yet defends Jameis at all costs and consistently points the finger elsewhere when he struggles.

    Classic DBag 55

  4. ZK Says:

Darin,I don’t think you know that much about football either, if your going to pay a underachieving DT 17-18 million in 2018!

  5. Architek Says:

“Gosh!! Darn I got a hit on Brady but we loss”

  6. tmaxcon Says:

funny how he can never brag about any big WINS!!!! 8 years and not a single meaningful win in his career. pathetic quitter nothing more.

  7. TonyC Says:

McCoy does not have a “mean streak” and it’s pretty obvious.

  8. TonyC Says:

if this defense is porous once again and GMC has relatively good numbers then
I believe we’ll have a much more palpable sense of the disconnect between GMC the individual player and GMC the team player. I really wonder why Ayers just gave up (in terms of effort and motivation) halfway through the season while last year he was all about accountability and desire. Was it that he saw he writing on the wall with the likes of Swaggy, was it the “scheme” or was it McCoy’s (the supposed stud on defense) lack of intensity?

  11. SteveK Says:

This defense lacks a mean mother phucker on the D-Line.

Licht’s #1 objective: get a mean ass defensive lineman. Shame on us expecting GMC to be that dude. He’s fine as who he is.

  12. JAB83 Says:

    @ZK,

Fair point. Accept, the obvious, your point only means you don’t understand finances. NOT FOOTBALL

Sorry son, you just proved the point!!! Now stop being influenced into being a

    FAN of Depression.

    Be A

    Fan of Inspiration.

  13. NFLNut Says:

GMC reminds me of an NFL version of Lamar Odom in the NBA …

  14. Bird Says:

    lol Joe’s

You were probably right on the filter

  15. Mike Johnson Says:

SteveK..I’ll go one better. How about just gettin a mean A.s Defense period!! GMC is fine. Problem is..he got no help..including his DC.

  16. JAB83 Says:

    Come on Joes!!!

let me run these loser ice cream eating fans off.

Just like they want to run are best player over the last decade!!!

GMC bought into culture change just like all of us… Now its about the process…

The Glazers set the tone early…. We are about to pull a Pirates of the Caribbean…..

And resurrect a sunken ship…. It has begun….. Philly WATCH THE F OUT!!!

  17. loggedontosay Says:

Dumb as$ Bird you have nothing on Jameis. Everything that you say about Jameis is made up racist BS. I do not argue about how good McCoy is or not. Interns of affecting wins, what has he done? We know what Jameis has done which is win or put the Bucs in position to win. If you want Jameis to stop the turnovers get a better coach. I would prefer a coach that does not blame his QB for his bad coaching.

  18. Dooshlarue Says:

Golly gee GMC…….you sure are a fearsome fellow.

  19. JAB83 Says:

    @logoffandsaynothing

Racist…. LOL… He is defending JW you tool…

    Be Gone!!!!

  20. Dooshlarue Says:

    @loggedontosay

I’m not anti-JW but how exactly do you coach how to hold on to the dam football.
The ball just seems to magically leave his hand.
Hold on to the ball Jameis……pretty basic stuff.

  21. JAB83 Says:

    @logoffandsaynothing

My mistake…. Bird is defending GMC….

    #GMCisMoreBlackThanJW#3… LMFAO

BUT you have the go nads to call out a white coach…. SMH…. Shame on your racist behind!!!!

  22. BigAlbinoDonky Says:

Guarantee you Aaron Donald wouldn’t have a “Oh golly gee whiz!” reaction.

  23. JAB83 Says:

    @BigDonky

Guarantee you are a sore loser and Ice Cream makes you feel better at night!!!

  24. Bird Says:

    Classic logged say nothing smart.

People comment on Jameis and it’s racist.

You make my point above. Blame everything /everyone but Jameis. I am dying laughing that you are blaming a coach on Jameis turnovers. Please blame jumbo fisher at fsu too. Cause his turnovers were high there too.

Who doesn’t want Jameis to succeed. Otherwise the team will be in the basement for years to come. But this site and commenters have gone out of their way to focus on one player (the messiah) and blame everyone else for his struggles.

. Btw. I got 3 jerseys in my collection. Brooks , lavonte and mike Evans. But you are right. I am racist bruh.

  25. I Bleed Pewter and Red Says:

Personality wise GMAC has similarities to Reggie White. A fierce competitor on the field but as gentle as giant teddy bear off the field. They both had the ability to keep the warrior on the field. Gerald will be in broadcasting for sure.

  26. Bob in Valrico Says:

    ZK
When you start by claiming McCoy will make 18 million ,
It proves you don’t know what your talking about.

  27. Destinjohnny Says:

    Should be this message
Tell your stupid gm to draft defensive lineman

  28. Buc believer Says:

I heard that GMC is lobbying the Glazers boys to bring back Bucco Bruce the winking pirate on a permanent basis. He thinks the current logo is much to scary and way to mean.

  29. yrbndr Says:

@GMC bashers and those citing racist angles. You are not credible and I realize this rolls off your self imposed teflon armor but you are in the minority and a joke. You are not Bucs fans. Go back to your teams sites and spew your venom elsewhere. I hope your personal life is full of not what you display here.

  30. DB55 Says:

Fletch Cox is a 16 million dollar man is he not? Let’s see if he goes statless in the big game!!!! Never forget Dallas 16!

  31. Bob in Valrico Says:

Actually Db, fletcher cox had comparable year to McCoy in 2017 3 years ago and his stats have been slip slidin away for the last two years. Still a very good player but he was a beast pre 2016. Its a hell of a lot tougher in them trenches than some
    people are willing to admit.

  32. Bob in Valrico Says:

EditEdit it was two years ago , his stats have tailed off in 2017.

  33. adam from ny Says:

no tough guy ever says “golly”…or “golly gee…that’s straight up sissy talk…our defensive leader is straight out the brady bunch gang gang…what’s up with that!!

  34. Bucs fan #7423 Says:

Let’s get GMC some help on the defensive line! If not we need to trade him!!

  35. SteveK Says:

    Mike Johnson, Hell yeah!

We need dudes with attitude. Softness with talent doesn’t win games. We need a coffin nail.

  36. RustyRhinos Says:

The very next opportunity McCoy should have burried him in the turf. As a sack not a “QB pressure” sacks cause longer distances to a first down. QB Pressure sounds way better than another late sack attempt. Did McCoy bring it the rest of the game? Did he got a Sack of Brady?

  37. Sighimabucsfan Says:

McCoy is drawing double teams every game, and is a consistent AllPro for a reason. He needs a lot more help and interchangeable pieces on the defensive front. Having a crapload of turnovers to deal with from the offense can never keep a defense fresh.

The rest of the league wouldn’t mind getting McCoy, and frankly a one man wrecking ball on defense is a super rare commodity especially if he has any injuries to boot, and is in the field longer than he should be. I think if you looked at coaching film on McCoy and knew what y’all were really talking about, you would leave the man alone, and might even praise him.
