Life-On-The-Line Defense

February 22nd, 2018

Change coming for Gerald McCoy & friends

Former Bucs commander Greg Schiano was known for his “toes-on-the-line,” walk-the-walk approach to coaching.

No excuses.

New Bucs defensive line coach Brentson Buckner has a different vision.

Buckner mentioned yesterday at One Buc Palace that he sought guidance from Mike Smith, Dirk Koetter and Jason Licht for what they wanted in their 2018 defensive line. It seems like the answer he got was flabby-gut, 90-percent-speed softies and the mentally weak need not apply.

Buckner was asked to define his D-line vision and delivered a stunning oration that rolled off his tongue as easily as Joe says, “fries, please” at Abe’s Place.

“The vision for this defensive line is to be physically and mentally tough. When you turn on that film, you’re going to see four guys recklessly attacking the guy in front of them like their lives depend on it,” Buckner said.

“When they can’t do it, the next guy behind them is going to come in and do it. We’re going to work well together. We’re going to hunt until the whistle blows. We don’t want anyone to feel comfortable. All week long, that offensive line is telling their coach and their running back and quarterback that they can run this play and block those guys. We’re going to take that personally. We’re not going to go out there looking for a fight. We’re going to go out there inviting a fight when that ball is snapped because we want to be vicious. We want our play to precede us when we walk into a stadium. We don’t want other teams to say, ‘When are the Bucs going to give us today?’ We want to them to know that when the Bucs step on the field, it’s going to be a battle. We might not win them all, but your training room is going to look like we did.”

Now the key is whether Koetter, Licht and Smith will give Buckner the power and the proverbial “big stick” to enforce his demands and deliver accountability. That’s likely what it will take to transform the defensive line from the mess it was last year — physically and mentally, as Buckner would say.

so they are moving on from the softest player in team history cancer93 or is this all just meaningless fluff to feed the delusional optimists and realists herd of sheep.

buckner I suggest renting cancer93 will not tolerate any winning or being held accountable your time in tampa will be short.

  2. Soflo Bucsfan Says:

It all depends on if Koetter and Licht fix the Defense in FA and the Draft. Like the hire of Buckner but he needs the horses, so to speak, to win the battle in the trenches!

    Go Bucs!

not sure you could have described cancer93 any better joe nice job.

  4. LakeLand Says:

Brentson Buckner has stepped on some cow manure. The Bucs fans will be calling for his job before October. The man has nothing to work with. He’s trying to overhaul and engine with a pair of pliers.

    Good luck with that

  5. tmaxcon Says:

nobody huff and puffs he way to nowhere in the 4th qtr better than captain blowout cancer93

  6. Baz Says:

Holy sh!t I love it!!! Let’s hope he delivers on this…. he definitely is a future defensive coordinator, his vision is beyond just the defensive line.

  7. The Buc Realist Says:

Should they trade GMC before the draft???? Or what until he pulls up in the ice cream truck, only to flip it over and tell him to get the !@&# out of here with the soft serve $!*# around here!!!! Then will he is standing at attention, they rip that “C” off the jersey and tell him that it does not stand for “captain media”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if it goes down the sheep, might then have to be called the “lemmings’ as they stampede off the cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. tmaxcon Says:

in perfect world glazers would trade cancer93 to ISIS for meat goats and a sword…. they could toss in Mike Smith to get 4 goats instead of 2…. the meat goats are far more valuable than a broken down has been DT that never were great.

  9. bucs_365 Says:

CancerTmax operating as nothing more than a troll at this point. If this whole thing is so hopeless, why bother? Why bother spending time and aggravation to dump all over GMC? Why? Trolling. You provide no value to this board with the constant b!tching and irrational criticism. You’re not a fan at all.

  10. tmaxcon Says:

please explain how you can be so convinced that cancer93 is not the problem yet time after time you keep positing articles that the front office and coaching staff desires badarse aggressive football players who are tough and driven winners yet NOT ONE of those labels or traits apply to your superhero the crying clown. if anything cancer93 is the EXACT OPPOSITE type of player the team needs.

  11. tmaxcon Says:

but I am in your head loser

  12. TrollSlayer Says:

the only cancer around here is you tmaxcon i wonder if you ever met mr.mccoy would you have the courage to call him “cancer93” to his face– i dont know how JBF continues to put up with your mindless GMAC rants bring something inventive to the comment section for the love of all that holy for once in your life

  13. tmaxcon Says:

I am going to have to start charging you losers for head time…. cancer93 is the MAIN problem this team has period. you can’t win with doll playing pansies wearing the c

  14. bucs_365 Says:

    trolling… nothing more than trolling.

  15. TrollSlayer Says:

the only loser here is you tmaxcon you talk so much smack about GMAC you are probably secretly in love with him only losers would come to a team fan site and do nothing but spew negativity about the team and one of its cornerstone players so do us all a favor please and bring some positive dialogue or take off this is exactly what troll losers do you obviously have no friends and no life its sad and pathetic

  16. tmaxcon Says:

tell mommy it’s time for you meds and a nap…. you have no clue about my wonderful life laughing at you low standard optimists. you have zerol credibility proclaiming a career loser who has NEVER won a single meaningful game in his career is a cornerstone.

  17. SCBucsFan Says:

As I said last night, Tmax is to this board what he thinks McCoy is to the team

  18. TrollSlayer Says:

youre funny guy tmax i would buy you a beer if we ever met…but i would spit in it first

  19. TrollSlayer Says:

tmaxcon must be a 14 year old boy struggling with getting bullied in school

  20. kgh4life Says:

I like the mind set of Brenston Buckner, it was very clear that during the 2017 season the defense as a whole lacked mental toughness, especially on the d-line. I put the blame squarely on Mike Smith because he’s the d-coordinator, hopefully Buckner has impact some of these guys.

  21. tmaxcon Says:

no real MAN would spit in a beer and waste it. now go tell mommy you have had enough computer time. maybe cacner93 will have you over for playtime. he does support pedophiles based on his tribute to Michael Jackson.

  22. Jeffbuc Says:

Man I knew once I saw the picture this was going to be a tmax dominated thread. Spewing his naysaying hatred all over for another man. Grow up it’s a game he’s the best d lineman we have. Let’s trade him brilliant. And we will bring in a bunch of rookies and they will immediately be better than McCoy. How come all these D-Line man we have that he doesn’t make better. When they leave you never hear about them again. Why is that because they are garbage to begin with and no one can make them better. Who left here as a d lineman in his era that has gotten better with another team. Bennett doesn’t count he was good when he was here. And clay born minus one game is Dallas is the same player for Atlanta he was with us. I will wait for your response creampuff tmaaxipad

  23. TrollSlayer Says:

wow i wish there was a way we could block posters on this site or a way we could all lobby to get rid of loser idiots like tmaxcon

  24. TrollSlayer Says:

we all know you only have a 5th grade level education tmaxcon but at least you could spell “cancer” right since you use that word so much

  25. Reach87 Says:

TMAX you are a moron. Hiding behind your keyboard you have no clue on what it means to be a “real Man,” demonstrate leadership in a team sport, compete, or execute football at any level. When was the last/first/any time you posted anything to do with those topics other than to say McCoy doesn’t have any of those traits, the team sucks, the owners suck, the town sucks (you don’t even live in Tampa). You carry on with this nonsense without proof and with the tenor of a little baby. Moronic to keep it up. Keep em coming…prove the point. I know you will

    Go Bucs!

  26. TrollSlayer Says:

anyways, this is one of my favorite things that has happened so far this off-season i believe the hiring of buckner will make this team an attractive destination for free agent d-linemen(chandler jones anyone???) im excited for the future of our d-line and i believe brentson buckner will get the best out of what we have already this can only improve the effectiveness of men like GMAC and will gholston and i really do hope noah spence stays healthy for us this guy STILL has the potential to be a beast!

  27. BushidoEvans Says:

What if tmaxcon is in fact JOE?!!! 🤔🤔🤔…😁

  28. tmaxcon Says:

results prove I am dead on my assessment of the bucs organization. by the way, your wife thinks i am a real man. never hid a day in my life. easily located.

I am way better looking than Joe

  29. Bucsfanman Says:

OK, so anyways! I’ll try to steer this back on track.
I like what Buckner is saying. The issue is that there’s a HUGE difference between saying and doing. We have ONE legit d-lineman so the cupboard is bare. I’ll believe it when I see it.
I did hear the clip and I have to admit, it got me fired up!

  30. Lord Cornelius Says:

After last season f*cked my mind it’s a lot easier to just laugh / enjoy this off season with no expectations. I guess that’s one positive.

We should have moved Gerald McCoy last year before the trade deadline when we could have gotten more value. A 2nd would have been nice but it’s done now imo. We’re not trading him and we’re staying in a 4-3.

Our LBs are suited to a 4-3. McCoy/McDonald fit the 4-3. We don’t have the personnel to make a 3-4 switch unless we made drastic changes and probably tried to trade Lavonte or something.

Also Chandler Jones is under contract.

  31. webster Says:

You cant blame mike smith for lack of mental toughness. Thats on the player. Do you think phil jackson had something to do with jordan’s or kobe’s mental toughness? Thats either you have it or you dont. Unfortunately a lot of players on this team lack mental toughness. Thats why they were deflated after the first play of the first game of the season because a call did not go their way. Thats not coaching.

  32. bucs_365 Says:

cancerTmax is the kind of person that likes to call out people’s manhood, or call them losers, or generally insult them rather than question the fact that he’s a constant pain in the ass, delusional about the certainty of his opinions. Probably beats his wife too.

  33. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Question for Tmaxcon.

During GMC’s career here in Tampa he has never had a quality defensive end to take any pressure off of him. Michael Ghost Johnson, Sackless George Johnson, Daquan Bowers, etc.etc.

Do you think it is a fair assessment of GMC when the franchise has not given him any help? Love to see what GMC could do with a quality defensive end on this defense.

  34. Bucsfanman Says:

LC- Rhetoric aside, GMC is un-tradeable IMO. It’ll raise the hackles on a few here, but we better get used to seeing him in a Bucs uniform!

  35. The Buc Realist Says:

One could say that “quality” defensive end’s do not want to be on the same line as GMC, We all know that every year the Buc’s have chased free-agent DE!!!!!!! Why do none want to come here??????

Tmaxcon talks football and cold hard facts!!!!!!!
    Others come and talk Tmaxcon!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. GhostofSchiano Says:

    The Buc Realist Says:

One could say that “quality” defensive end’s do not want to be on the same line as GMC, We all know that every year the Buc’s have chased free-agent DE!!!!!!! Why do none want to come here??????

JOE has written about this, I have echoed it, it is common knowledge. The Bucs had the money to sign Calias Campbell but instead went the cheap route and signed Baker. It was then and always will be about MONEY.

Last year the Eagles spent the most, the Browns spent the least, time for the Bucs to spend the Glazer loot. At least as much if not more than they spend on Manchester United.

  37. Mitch Says:

Tmaxcon – I feel sorry for you. Your personal attack on others, false sense of manhood, and your pride are all you have. Take Care.

  38. unbelievable Says:

There’s zero chance that someone as bitter and uninformed as tmax is good looking in real life. Zero.

LOL, but thanks for the laugh maxipad!

  39. SCBucsFan Says:

This blog is becoming hard to read because of some posters, I hope Joe does something soon to get the train back on the tracks

  40. The Buc Realist Says:

The Bucs have chased free-agent DE for years!!!!!!!!! but no one wants to play next to the so called premier DT of the nfl?????????

And as far as Campbell goes, I have no problem of passing on a 31 year old DE with 31 million guaranteed who only had 20 sacks the last 3 years of play, without the power of hindsight!!!!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Pickgrin Says:

“We might not win them all, but your training room is going to look like we did”

    That’s a great line.

  42. tmaxcon Says:

    just more excuses sir!!

the franchise has brought in free agents and coaches every year and cancer93 sucks the life out of them and the desire win…. cacner93 is the bucs main problem. his soft approach and lack of determination outweighs his talented first step to nowhere. this franchise has taken on his soft personality.

what you people call RANTS are fact based assignments of your failed superhero….

  43. tmaxcon Says:

all you fanboys of cancer93 want to take a minute to Justify his many many self-proclaimed falt performances especially in important games or do you choose selective memory just to deny it happened since it does not fit the choirboy agenda.

her 12,500,000 can be spent much better elsewhere send his losing arse to dallas for 6th or 7th.

  44. Bucsfanman Says:

tmax has been hitting the caffeine today! He’s probably sipping espresso from his Gerald McCoy coffee mug, the one with GMC’s lips as the rim! 🙂

  45. tmaxcon Says:

no caffiene I went with sativa and Jameson…. Retirement suits me well.

so let’s have your answer why do you support a career loser with so many self admitted flat performances. I am all for the underdog but man! Is it his smile or first step to nowhere…

you fanboys seem to forget all the BS and the me first camera time and the pre season BS press conferences and all his rhetoric without results… cancer93 is the most overrated buc of all time and the WORST team captain in franchise history…. results matter nothing else does.

  46. tmaxcon Says:

you fools piled on baker for being jovial after a loss yet cancer3 as been acting like a clown after losses his entire career but it’s ok because the career loser gets a free pass.

  47. ManzielMadness Says:

When you turn on that film, you’re going to see four guys recklessly attacking the guy in front of them like their lives depend on it,” Buckner said.
“When they can’t do it, the next guy behind them is going to come in and do it.

LOL does this mean GMC gets only 2 snaps in the first half? Everyone else knows he wont be getting sacks in the 2nd half!!

  48. tmaxcon Says:

8 years and not 1 signature game or take over performance. he has NEVER been great a day in his life.

  49. 813bucboi Says:

I agree….its not that they are cheap but they don’t spend money wisely….instead of spending big money on a big FA, they spend big money on several mid/lower tier FA’s……

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  50. ndog Says:

One quick question for everyone. They are saying Suh might get cut by the Dolphins, would you guys want us to go after him to team up with McCoy if he came at the right price?

  51. bucs_365 Says:

    CancerTmax kicks kittens for fun.

  52. Destinjohnny Says:

You wonder how 93 would have done if he had some running mates??
    We will never know

  53. tmaxcon Says:

he has been given plenty of help stop with the excuses. he is a soft failure.

  54. LakeLand Says:

The funny part is, this GM sign bums every year and the fanbase actually support this clown. They say stuff like, he’s trying, he’s great at drafting. The reality is, this team stinks and the GM is responsible for the stench.

  55. LakeLand Says:

I said this last season and I will say it this season. The best option for the Bucs defense is Dontari Poe. They need that man beast in the middle to eat up blockers. And to push the pocket, free up the linebackers. Suh is a 3-Tech, the same position GMC plays. The Bucs need a bona fide NT next to GMC.

  56. Lord Cornelius Says:

Man I’m really concerned about what DEs we can actually sign lol. This FA market looks like sh1t.

Our best bet is trading imo and for Robert Quinn in particular.

Send a 3rd rounder and sign Quinn to a new 4-5 year deal.

    Re-sign CB Grimes
    Re-sign DT McDonald
    Sign CB Kyle Fuller
    Sign OG Norwell
    Sign RB Jerick McKinnon
    Sign DE Kony Ealy

Trade back with Buffalo for 21/22

    21-Hurst or Payne-DT
    22-Marcus Davenport-DE
    R2-Sony Michel RB
    R4-BPA OG/OT
    R5-R7-BPA OG/OT/CB/S

    DE-Robert Quinn/Marcus Davenport/Ryan Russel or Clarke(?)
    DT-McDonald/Stevie T
    DT-McCoy/Daron Payne
    DE-Will Gholston/Noah Spence/Kony Ealy

    SS-Conte/Tandy (i know can’t do it all)

    LT-Donavon Smith
    RG-Sweezy/4th round pick
    RT-Dot/5th round pick

    K-god help us

  57. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Nick Folk released. Anyone surprised????

  58. tmaxcon Says:

when you are a team captain and highest paid player on the team and your ONLY signature game in 8 years was a chihuahua like ankle grab on matt ryan a notorious 4th qtr choke artist you are not a great player you are fraud. cancer93 is a fraud simple as that.

  59. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @Lord Cornelius

Dang…I saw your post and thought it was one of Luv’s posts, lol.

  60. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

There’s the tmaxcon we know and hate…

  61. tmaxcon Says:

hate me all you want. I am dead on accurate. i live in reality cancer93 fans live in fantasy land

  62. SteveK Says:

Keep bringing your opinion! Very critical, ok, but our team sucks balls and I took am tired of the “ok” feeling associated with losing.

I want to see the Bucs address DLine and bring a mean mother effer in here to set the tone.

We need nasty bad ass defenders.

  63. tmaxcon Says:

i was cautiously optimistic going into last season but I can no longer sit back and listen to the SOFT BS spewing from low standard buc fan trying to justify an organization that has not done anything right in 16 years.

you wither win or fail and all the bucs have done for 16 years is FAIL… I’d love to see a meaningful win before 2025…

some of the apologists act like this a class organization that is only down on it’s luck when in reality its an embarrassing organizations with very little hope for the future. reality sucks. I wish it was different all these pie in the sky bs scenarios and wishful thinking is a total waste of time with glazers running show. they have proved they either will never get it or simply don’t care. i go with simply don’t care because NOBODY or TEAM can be this embarrassing for this long if ownership cared.

  64. JonBuc Says:

You act as if McCoy is about to break the 9 figure mark ( over 100 million ) from the Bucs with few defining plays on a worst in the league defense…with zero career playoff apprearances. Wait….

  65. 813bucboi Says:

    I hear ya!!!!!…..I agree…..

I wanted us to sign Campbell or poe along with Mario Addison….Addison took less money to stay which tells you all you need to know about the staff and organization…..SMDH!!!!!!

problem is poe aint signing another 1 year deal…..and it looks like the glazer set a cap on dline judging by them saying the didn’t have money for Campbell but gave a blank check to a wr……

I would be shocked if they signed poe…..and to be honest we shouldn’t be in this position anyway…..I thought akeem spence was a good NT….he ate up space and stuffed the run very well……I thought he deserved to be resigned…..he performed and developed better than gholston(IMO) and they gave gholston a second deal…..dline took a big hit when we let him go…..

the only thing I disagree with you about is suh……if we have a chance to get suh we have to get him…..these are profession football players…..I don’t care if they play the same position….you can never have too many good players….let the DC figure it out….if its for the good of the team, then we have to do it…..

larry fitz was an outside WR but bruce said its best for the team for him to line up in the slot…..and larry is a future HOFer…..he’s taken his game to another level…..

put them next to each other and tell them no one runs up the middle on run plays and get the QB on pass plays…..simple as that…lol….

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…..GO BUCS!!!!

  66. 813bucboi Says:

    BYE FOLK!!!!!!!!

  67. SteveK Says:

How about this soft ass defense plays better. This is Tampa Bay, the house that Sapp built with a generational defense.

Everyone who is a Bucs fan should be pissed of fat our lack of results!

Keep preaching, Tamaxcon, The Buc Realist, and others. I scroll through the comments just to read your sage, witty advice. Screw anyone who is “ok” with 5-11 last year, 10 + years without a 10+ sack guy, and the second longest streak since playoffs, one year behind Cleveland.

Will we make the playoffs before the Browns?

  68. SteveK Says:

The more I think about it, Schiano was right. We are a “laughingstock”.

Folks were turned off by him, but where was he wrong?

  69. GhostofSchiano Says:

agree totally with 813 and Lakeland, spot on.

I don’t hate you Tmaxcon, just disagree with you.

  70. Lord Cornelius Says:

“Folks were turned off by him, but where was he wrong?”

Coaching. Game plans. Talent evaluation. Everything almost.

This is a guy that readily admitted to not making half time adjustments and it showed.

In Schiano’s last year the Bucs averaged like 6-7 points in the 2nd half which is insanely bad for the modern era

  71. darin Says:

Goodness Guys. There is a way to block people on here. Ignore them. Dont read the posts. Dont acknowledge them. They will wilt away. Its obvious they do it for the same reasons they all do. Attention. You’re feeding it. Go Big Buck!

  72. tmaxcon Says:

Go back to your safe space clearly reality is too much for you to handle… sesame street is always positive maybe you should loop it 24×7 reality is a scary scary place after all

  73. tmaxcon Says:

The real world does not have a block button pansy asses must face it head on.

  74. BucEmUp Says:

I almost got excited, but then reality set in. I’m not buying the bullishly this year. I knew when Smith was hired his defense would be bad, but hope, optimismn, off-season hype took over and got the best of me. I believed Mike Smith would morph the defense and play much more aggressive in 2017. News flash, nothing about that defense was aggressive. Not once did I see one of our corners and stand close enough to a wide receiver to extend his arm and touch him, much less jam them at the line.

If they sign Grimes, Sigh Talib and put VH3 in the slot and let them play UP ON THE LINE there sacks will be there. The blitzes will make it home, the pocket will collapse more and the opposing team will much more often be on their toes.

Sorry but this guy just walked into a death trap. Unless he is retained after the house is cleared at the end of 2018 this entire coaching staff is toast unless Smith changes….but he won’t. No hope for the season unless Jamies and the offense are flawless which is exactly why I would take Barkley. Bad coaching will run every defensive draft pick they make and then Jason licht will be criticized for making a bad pick when really it was bad coaching on a good player…..just like VH3.

  75. tmaxcon Says:

Any brain damage I have is from watching this pathetic franchise field embarassing team after embarassing team for 40 years. All buc fans are brain damaged or they would not care about this crapshow

  76. Rrsrq Says:

    One can dream:
    Chubb falls to seven
    M. Bennet gets cut and resigns with Bucs
Trade 2nd round pick and next years #one to get back in first and p/u Vita Vea
    2018 defensive front
    B. Chubb
    M. Bennett
    Vita Vea
    W. Gholston
    Noah Spence
    C. McDonald
    Stevie T.
    R. Russell
    – keep em rotating
    – no first round pick next year, but I’m pretty nobody can remember very many first round picks of the Pats or Seahawks the last few years because they pick at the bottom of the first, do the eagles even have a first round pick.
3rd round pick- Rashaad Penney or best RB available
4th round pick – depends what we do in free agency in the defensive backfield, maybe the other SDSU DB Kam Kelly played both CB and safety

  77. Not there yet Says:

You never heard boo from Sapp d line coach that’s because they let the dogs hunt. You don’t need a guy on the sidelines telling them how and when to do things to get to the passer, they should know that at this stage. Let them play which is why I bet they were more successful the first year of the defense

  78. DanBucsFan Says:

I LOVE Buckner as our d line coach!! That is the attitude we want our whole team to have not just d line, hopefully brings a new attitude on that side of ball.

The Defense is the responsibility of Mike Smith. He hired a so called tough guy to do his sideline job. But you can bet, he’ll have his fat butt in the pressbox come Sept. Gettin his money for nothin and his view..for free. Sop making excuses for this has been..Please!

  87. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

I like the idea of trading for Quinn. We need to give this D Line some talent. I love the idea of trading back with Buffalo (only if Chubb is gone). But if we trade back we should consider sending one of those 1st rounders to KC for Marcus Peters (he not going for less than a late 1st) and drafting Vea at the other 1st or a top Cb. Michael Bennett needs to be considered in FA as well as Sheldon Richardson. Look at the Jags, they LOADED up thier D Line and it was nasty.

All eyes on tose three. They are all gone if we suck ass this year! They will be judged and tried accordingly. Those three have also won more games than Lovie in the past two years, than Lovie has the past four years: two with Bucs and two in college.

    Results time in Tampa!

New theory– tmaxcon is actually GMAC. He is posting incognito to try create public pressure to get him off of a team that is sinking like the Titanic and maybe get released/traded to a team that could use him to win a Superbowl.

Worked for Blount (two different teams)!

  91. Rod Munch Says:

Who is a positional coach that changed things in a meaningful way when they were just a positional coach? Legit question – not a rhetorical one. I don’t think they’re actually all that important as they’re just doing what they’re told to do, but I’m open to hearing why that opinion is wrong.

  92. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

Well mike Tomlin was our DB coach from 01-05. I’m sure he help our secondary out

  93. Mark Says:

Extremely tired of Tmaxcon. Enough said!

  94. DB55 Says:

Payne and or hand from Alabama > vea

  95. Rod Munch Says:

Mike Evans – Players praised Tomlin and obviously he turned out to be an excellent head coach but as the Bucs DB coach did he do anything that changed the tone of the defense? I’d say no, the defense was firmly Kiffin’s baby. That’s what I mean here, does a DL coach really change anything, even if he’s good at his job he’s still just taking his orders from Mike Smith.

  96. Bnomo Says:

    Tough talk,
    Now time for the walk,
    No playing in preseason,
    Just get the job done,
No time for games of fun,
    Get to the Q back,
    Give lots of sacks,
    Earn those bucks,
Or else again, these Bucs will suk…..

  97. LakeLand Says:

    Give lots of sacks,

You mean give them lots of sack lunches

    They definitely love to eat

“…i was cautiously optimistic going into last season…”

If that is true, you NEVER showed it in your posts. You have sung the same exact tune for years now. Just copy and paste.

Trollmax, thanks. You keep proving my point with your classless, moronic and sophomoric posts. The fact that you would mention someone’s wife on this thread in the way that you did demonstrates your lack of character, personal insecurities, and ignorance. I have enough class not to mention your ex-wife or family that have disowned you since you first opened your trap. Keep em coming moron.

  101. Marc Says:

Hmm, sounds like we could use help along the DL.

    Joe –

Do your site a huge advancement. Ban tmaxcon for life. He has become an absolute parasite who disrupts the comments thread with his non-stop boring negative ranting about the same thing. He drags your site down.
