Hey Jude Cleared

February 22nd, 2018

Passes test.

It isn’t just Demar Dotson who got a green light to return to full football workouts by Bucs medical personnel.

Yesterday, Jenna Laine of ESPN noted Bucs cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah — Hey Jude! — has a healthy knee and the restricted free agent can return to the football field.

I’m told that Bucs cornerback Jude Adjei-Barimah has been cleared by his surgeon to return to football. He’ll be ready to participate in OTAs. He spent all of last year recovering from a patellar fracture in his right knee. Depth was an issue at corner for the Bucs last year, and him playing outside and nickel certainly helps.

If one can forget the nutkick of an overtime loss to the Raiders two years ago (a game that likely robbed the Bucs of a wild card berth), then Hey Jude isn’t an awful cornerback at all.

With the position in grave danger with the Bucs — free agent Brent Grimes’ future remains cloudy, Vernon Hargreaves has fallen off the map, Ryan Smith has yet to show he is a capable NFL corner and Robert McClain will be a free agent — any small morsel of good news is welcome when it comes to Bucs corners.

That game was so frustrating (Oakland).

I like reading the Luke Easterling mocks since he always tries to do well for the Bucs. Right now he has us trading back with the Bills so they can move up for a QB (we get picks 21/22 and a 2nd and they get 7). I’m not sure we would actually get that though since picks 21 & 22 should be enough to get to 7 based on trade value chart – but I’d likely still do that if Chubb wasn’t on the board. He then has us going:

    R1-Derwin James S
    R1-Daron Payne DT
    R2-Arden Key DE
    R2-Nick Chubb RB
    R3-Quenteen Meeks CB
    R4-Desmond Harrison OT

I’d be pretty good with that haul. Especially getting James / Key in value areas and addressing both lines / RB / CB & S.

This organization could draft deacon Jones, Randy white, Reggie white, 2tall Jones and Randall McDaniel and would still be 4-12 as long as cancer93 is infecting the locker room

The entrenched losing culture supersedes any talent brought into one buc circus. The fact that every coach and player who arrives in Tampa regresses or fails to develop. History proves it. Until the core organization problems are resolved there truly is no hope.

He has definitely made splash plays BUT I must admit.. I completely forgot about him being on the team.. That kind of season I guess lol

Yuck…send him packing…I still can’t get that Raider game and penalty out of my head..I swear, I think I need therapy because of it..

Cleared to get beat again……welcome back to misery.

  9. Buccaneer Bill Says:

He flashed often enough when healthy to get another chance. He has to prove himself the rest of the way.

  10. Pa Privateer Says:

Happy to see him come back and play.

No he is not a top corner in the game, that is why he sits on the bench more than plays…….

If we get a pass rush, all of the back 7 will look better.

Welp. Hope you have a good chiropractor from having your neck whip-lashed watching quarterbacks roast Vernon Hargreaves and Ryan Smith each and every pass play. Because that’s what the Bucs, currently, are looking at for corners.

Any upgrade, no matter how small, is good.

that is exactly why there is no hope for the bucs. that line of thinking of settiling is for losers…. going from garbage to bad and celebrating it is exactly the glazers philosophy and exactly why 4-12 is VERY OPTIMISTIC for next year.

    cancerTmax-

I’m no fan of the Glazers, but if it’s so hopeless, why do you bother? Is it just to troll those of us who still hold hope and think the situation isn’t as bad? I can’t imagine that constant b!tching is all that fun… I mean, unless you’re just a giant a$$hole… Spare us all your negativity and save yourself the aggravation – go be a Jags fan or something.
