Happy Birthday Jameis!

January 6th, 2018

24.

Joe cannot let this day go just yet.

Today is the 24th birthday of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston. He is the best quarterback in franchise history after but three seasons.

Of course, Buccaneers.com is celebrating this landmark day. Watch the video for some of Jameis’ career highlights.

Happy BDay JW3! Enjoy your night.

  2. loggedontosay Says:

    Happy birthday!

You have accomplished so much, and you have so much more to accomplish!

  3. Ndog Says:

And he has to watch a organization that knows how to build a team to get into and win in the playoffs cause they actually have a defense and a running game.

  4. Jim Bob Says:

Looks like Marcus Mariota is America’s QB huh

  5. I'm tired and 87 is right Says:

The sky is the limit for you Jameis! Never lose your focus, continue to grind, and be the leader we all need you to be! You are the sole reason I enjoy to watch the games anymore. Happy Birthday my man! Go Bucs!!

  6. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Here’s a bday nugget for ya JW

Mariota is going to the second round of the playoffs

…..and you have regressed as a QB in your third year with a 5-11 record.

    Enjoy!

  7. FR Says:

Mariota moves on in the playoff as Jameis sits at home AGAIN.

  8. Bucs14 Says:

Mariota just won his first playoff game. Great pick Licht. Titans got a winner, we got an American Turnover Machine. Go bucs!

  9. Sweeptheleg Says:

Winston hasn’t accomplished anything but a bunch of meaningless stats while he sits at home and watches the titans with Mariotas terrible stats go into the second round of the playoffs.

Which proves stats are for losers and all these RECORDS Winston is setting means nothing.

  10. Ndog Says:

You people are so ignorant he threw a pick, fumbled a ball they called down for no reason, and threw into triple coverage when the ball gets batted up and falls into his hands. If you think he was the reason they won that game you are a complete idiot.

  11. Ndog Says:

Which clearly we have alot of on this board.

  12. Buc50 Says:

Mariota played like crap but you guys keep hanging on his pineapple.

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

The guy all of you siad was not worth a hoot just took his team to the 2nd rd of the playoffs. The Titans won. It was not pretty. But they won. No flashy, No crab eatin legs, No sexual harassment,No pre game pre-game preachin antics for Mr. Mariota. He just clamly plays the best he can. Ohh and happy B-Day Jameis. You too will get to the playoffs once..you get a DEFENSE!!..in about 2 or 3 yrs.

  14. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @ndog

Guess you missed the block he made to seal the game?

Yea he made turnovers that looked just like Winston’s turnovers except they won lol.

  15. Rod Munch Says:

Ndog – Actually Mariota threw in quadruple coverage.

  16. Buc believer Says:

GREAT Marriotta has a playoff win before Jameis does. So he officially is the better QB now. He beat him in the head to head and now this. Of course he does have a much better head coach so there is that…

  17. FR Says:

NO YOU ARE THE IDIOTS FOR BELIEVING IN THIS IDIOT WINSTON AND HIS STATS.

  18. MadMax Says:

MM had some serious luck going for him in that game….who knows, but I dont think they win on from here.

  19. Rod Munch Says:

Sweeptheleg – Actually Mariota made turnovers, but unlike with the Bucs when Jameis doesn’t lose the ball at the end of the game in Carolina, in KC he does lose the ball and refs decide he didn’t really fumble. Anywho Mariota made one nice throw all day, the TD pass to Decker, which was right after he missed a completely blown coverage wide open Corey Davis for a TD. Mariota made some nice running plays, but really the game was all about Alex Smith being a choke artist and losing yet again.

  20. mark2001 Says:

Yes…nice birthday for Jameis…facing an investigation and possible surgery in the off season… meanwhile…

Marcus is advancing in the playoffs.

    So far…Marcus…scoreboard.

  21. Sweeptheleg Says:

Stats mean nothing. It’s wins and losses that matters.

Ndog doesn’t understand that. It’s just “Winston is great Winston is amazing his stats his stats he’s awesome you’re all idiots and stupid”

    Moron.

  22. BROCKTACULAR Says:

Mariota does what Dirk has taken away from JW… 3 steps – throw.. if no throw… get outside the pocket and HAUL ASS. THAT is called being able to use what got you to the NFL!

  23. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @rodmunch

Not disagreeing at all. He misses an easy throw to Corey Davis I believe Winston would’ve made that throw for sure. Mariota isn’t better than Winston.

My point is that stats do not matter and Mariota proves that. I get tired of hearing about Winston’s stats and how great he is. The Bucs haven’t accomplished anything.

Wins and losses is all that matters.

  24. Ndog Says:

We have the most uneducated fans in the country bar none. I am getting to the poInt that if I was Jameis I would NEVER resign here and go win countless games and titles elsewhere. The Titans pounded the ball and their defense dominated the entire 2nd half, please point out the last time we did either one of those things much less both.

  25. BROCKTACULAR Says:

even if he did play like SHT!

  26. mark2001 Says:

Now maybe it gets better from here…but let’s face it…investigations.. injuries and possible surgery…running out on the field like a guy that just saw someone steal his loved ones purse…. tapping guys helmets…

I believe Jameis could end up being great. But so far, Tennessee seems to have gotten the better of the draft.

  27. Rod Munch Says:

Mariota lost 5 games to teams with records worse than .500 this year, the Bucs lost 1 game to a team with a record worse than .500. Winston, even in an injury shortened season beat as many playoff teams as Mariota did, one. Winston however played the hardest schedule in football, Mariota and the Titans played the easiest. Mariota did not play well today but he was matched against Alex Smith who is a natural born loser when it matters most. Mariota threw at the goal line into quadruple coverage and had the ball slapped back into his hands for a TD. He clearly fumbled just before half time only to have the refs give him the ball. He’s a lucky lucky guy, from having the easiest schedule to his timing in the playoffs. The stat from ESPN is this, Titans are now 2-14 in the Marcus Mariota era when trailing by 14+ points, both wins against the Chiefs.

Anywho it sounds like I’m hating on Mariota, but I’m actually indifferent. However when people act like he’s a good QB when he’s not, it’s just irritating. The Titans won because Alex Smith isn’t any good under pressure. The Chiefs scored zero points in the second half, when it mattered most, when a FG would have put it away, they couldn’t get it done. Sort of like Matt Ryan.

  28. Ndog Says:

Sweep what you don’t understand is teams win games not individual players, but you not understanding is something I have come to expect.

  29. mark2001 Says:

Mariota doesn’t throw better than Jameis…but he does most everything else better that you would expect of a young NFL QB…at this point in time. Jameis definitely has more upside…but time will tell.

  30. Wausa Says:

    Most on here are idiots

Bucs are very lucky to have Jameis

  31. Bucs14 Says:

    @ndog

Yes Mariota made some bad plays, but guess what, He won. Things fall in games in favor of winners. Winston isn’t a winner.

  32. Ndog Says:

Rod Munch give up these people are 100% clueless when it comes to football

  33. mark2001 Says:

Ndog…the Bucs were pretty much clueless when it came to winning football this year.

  34. SteveK Says:

    Happy Birthday, Jameis!

You have the heart of a lion, and you’re a true competitor.

Glad your my QB, looking forward to your 4th year in the system. Excited for the team to take the next step next year.

  35. Rod Munch Says:

Sweeptheleg – Football is a team sport, and a sport of luck. Seriously put Mariota and the Titans in the NFC, I’m not kidding when I say they’re a 3-13 team. Go look at their schedule, look at the teams they beat, they beat the Jags who also had the easiest schedule (tied with the Titans) in the league, that’s it – they beat no one else in the playoffs. Then the Titans get to the playoffs and they play KC who was on a huge skid during the second half the season. Hey you play who is on the schedule and I really don’t dislike Mariota, as I said in the other thread I’d rather have him than Alex Smith – but to pretend the Titans winning today had anything to do with Mariota playing well is nonsense. The Titans won because they were playing an Alex Smith lead team that choked in the second half of the game.

Meanwhile go back to the original point about the schedule, put the Bucs in the AFC South and they literally are a 10-win team, this year, with as bad as it went. The Bucs lost one game all year versus a team with a losing record, that was the defensive collapse in GB where Jameis gave the defensive yet another 4th quarter lead they lost. Even in that one sub.500 lost it was in OT versus a 7-9 team. The Bucs played a ridicilously hard schedule this year. They lost 10 games versus teams that were .500 or better, and they were 4-1 versus teams less than .500. Give them a cupcake schedule and the Bucs are playing football today.

  36. Ndog Says:

Bucs 14 so Mariota is a winner because his team drafted a beast runningback and has a HOF d coordinator? BTW please tell us all what he has ever actually won?

  37. darin Says:

Yeah you clowns are unreal. Now because dick labeaus defense came out in the 2nd half and pitched a shutout youre gona say licht messed up the pick? Its the ultimate team game, lead by coaches. Mariota with the luckiest of lucky throws bounces right back to him for 6. Kelce goes out with a concussion, whom they had no answer for. Then labeau draws up some beautiful adjustments and andy reid pulls an andy reid. N derrick henry went off. Team game. We have the better qb, just not better coaching or running back. Happy birthday Jameis!

  38. mark2001 Says:

Rod…that is unfair to Mariota…he made some key 1st downs with his legs…he played within his skill set. And he did nothing to lose the game. The TD reception he made was luck, but to catch it required a degree of physical skill. Winners find a way to win and play within their game. And he is advancing to the second round of the playoffs…period.

  39. Bucs14 Says:

    @ndog

A playoff game……in the NFL, just like Al Davis said, “Just win baby.” My point, screw Winston’s stats, mechanics, etc. Mariota is proving he is a winner. That is huge in winning titles.

  40. mark2001 Says:

Ndog…he and his team just won a playoff game.

  41. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @ndog

Oh yes you’re the all knowing guru please shower me with your infinite knowledge on footie football.

Please enlighten me on how smart and intelligent you are and we mere peasants will bow down to your superiority. We know nothing at all and are just idiots. How have you managed to survive in a world of morons and peasants.

I pray god will somehow give me half the intelligence of you. I’ve watched the Bucs since 1987 and yet I’m surprised I manage to turn the tv on.

    Please help ol mighty one.

  42. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @ndog and rodmunch

    You both miss the point.

My point is STATS DONT MATTER.

It’s wins and losses that count.

Yes I believe Winston is better than Mariota. My whole point was I’m tired of hearing about Winston’s stats. Mariotas stats suck but he’s in the second round.

    I know it’s a team sport. Duh.

  43. mark2001 Says:

Look, I like Jameis’s talent… but some of the old concerns are popping back up that I had before the draft….the stupid Uber ride with clowns that got him in trouble again…. the shoulder injury when he had some shoulder questions coming into the draft. Next year is year four…and if we see the same fumbles, bad reads and ill advised thrown, I’ll have to wonder if he will grow to what he is capable of being.

  44. Rod Munch Says:

mark2001 – I did say that actually, Mariota made some great plays with his legs. He’s not a good traditional QB, but he’s not bad either. However the offense is made to play to his strengths, they know he has trouble throwing the ball and reading NFL defenses, so they move him around and let him run around. That is also what generally gets him injured – but it’s the playoffs, so let him run around. But today was all about Alex Smith being choking.

Again I don’t dislike Mariota, but when people try to say he’s better than Winston, then I come to our mans defense since Mariota is simply not better at anything other than rushing. If you’re going to have a QB like Mariota then he’s in the perfect offense, a power rushing team with an excellent line and the best duo of RBs in the league. All coaches should do what they do in Tenn and play to the strength of their QB instead of trying to put shackles on them and make them play to a predefined style of offense.

  45. Ronteco Says:

Eff Winston’s bday. He was the wrong pick obviously. Immature on the field and still has off field issues. Hopefully he sees jail time for his recent sexual assault.

  46. Nate Says:

    Happy Bday Jameis!!!!!

NOW, glazers get him a good to great running back and line and see what he can do!!!

  47. Nate Says:

    or I should say Licht!!!!

  48. BrianBucs Says:

Happy Birthday Jameis. As a present I hope somebody gives you some stick em’

  49. Nate Says:

but I’m still drafting a talented qb mid round…..

pressure can only get him better ….or bust pipes …either way we will KNOW….

    next year

  50. Rod Munch Says:

Sweeptheleg – Yes, it’s not about stats, it is about wins and losses, which is why I brought up wins and loses and the fact Winston has played a dramatically more difficult schedule than Mariota, who has literally played the easiest schedule of any QB in the league since he was drafted (look it up if you think I’m kidding, I’m not). That matters, which is why I brought up wins versus teams in the playoffs and teams with winning records. The schedule matters a lot, that accounts for many of those wins and loses. This year for example Jameis was 1-1 versus common teams with Mariota, who was 0-2 versus those two teams. The AFC South is not the NFC South, the Bucs played 9 games versus playoff teams, the Titans played 2 (both against the Jags).

  51. Ndog Says:

Sweep you need to much help for any of us to assist.

  52. Tdub Says:

titans won that game despite mariota playing pretty mediocre. Titans also play in one of the worst divisions in the league! No excuses the bucs definitely blew it in 2017 but we are due. Jameis will be the reason we win in the near future, I believe that!

  53. JonBuc Says:

First thought I had as the Chiefs began to predictably gag and things were going Tennessee’s way was “ I bet many JBF posters will lose their minds that Mariota has a playoff win.” And sure enough…here we are. That unbelievably lucky completion to himself…the non-called clear fumbles…come on folks. The real “better end of the deal” was the Titans plucking GM Jon Robinson while the Bucs were left with Licht’s Out.

  54. Richbucsfan Says:

Wow! First game to watch Mariota. His team respects him no end. He seems mature, made adjustments, did well. #3 needs to grow up. His off field antics might sink his career. He’ll be suspended for several games next season. At this point his selection as the top QB is in serious question. He is now 24 MUCH more is expected. He must cease saying he must get better and actually get better.

  55. Rod Munch Says:

Do the Falcon’s win today? On the road I’d say no, but I’m not totally sure the Rams are ready to make that “leap” yet. Generally a young team that makes a big leap in the 2nd year loses this game, but Matt Ryan has a lot of Alex Smith in him. It’s another tough game in that I’d love to see the Falcons lose, but I also LOVE seeing home team fans get go into deep depression… mixed feelings…

  56. Nate Says:

    BROCKTACULAR Says:

Mariota does what Dirk has taken away from JW… 3 steps – throw.. if no throw… get outside the pocket and HAUL ASS. THAT is called being able to use what got you to the NFL!

    ——————————

Now good bad or indifferent…..THIS is true

as a former player….it happened to josh freeman too (amongst other things)

after the 10-6 year he stopped the quick decisions….climbing the pocket if its not there…and eating the football or throw aways , AND RUNNING

when needed…..someone is coaching OR the front office mentality has him scared not too otherwise (hence the rookie year)

    —– Nate Dubb

  57. BrianBucs Says:

Yep, for tonight anyway, Marcus Mariotta is America’s Quarterback

  58. ZK Says:

Watch out Jamie might grope you, bunch of FSU circle jerks.

  59. JimmyJack Says:

Hahaha you dumb fans worried about another teams success. Guess what morons? Tennessee winning a wildcard game proves nothing about Winston. If you honestly think the Bucs drafting Mariota makes us a contender you are completely clueless.

It’s funny how jealous you guys get. And Rod Munch your statements about schedules only proves how bad we are since we can’t beat any good teams and it doesn’t prove anything about Tennessee because they proved they are a legit playoff team in their game today.

  60. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @rodmunch

You’re right the schedule does matter a lot. I totally agree. But that’s out of everyone’s control.

That’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Until the dumb ass glazers figure out how to pick the right coaches and the gm picks the right players and out a decent defense together then all the stats and scheduling won’t matter.

But Winston better figure out how to stop the turnovers and stay healthy or he may not make it past his rookie deal.

If they fire all the coaches next season the new coach may want to pick his own QB so next season is a huge year for this team no matter what the schedule is.

  61. BrianBucs Says:

    Munch

While Jameis may be a better thrower of the football, Mariotta is the better overall QB

  62. Rod Munch Says:

Nate – Yes and no on the 3 steps and pass. Dirk, as we know, runs a 1980s deep ball offense, and the Bucs do put up yards and the yards per play is high because of the offense. Dirk’s offense can work if you have a good running game since that hesitation of run/pass when defenses are reading the ball is what creates time. But with no running game and a terrible offensive line, you end up with Jameis generally under pressure early without the time for his receivers to get open. Sure you can have an underneath guy as a safety valve, but if he’s your 4th or 5th read and you’re under pressure almost immediately, then it’s difficult to get to that read. With that said Jameis does an amazing job of hanging in the pocket and waiting until the last possible moment to get rid of the ball. The Bucs will hopefully add in some short passing plays this offseason, in particular to get D-Jax on some slants so he has a chance to get the ball while running instead of everything being a bomb or a curl with him.

  63. Rod Munch Says:

BrianBucs – LOL! Stick to reviewing interstate rest stop glory holes fella, then at least you’ll know what you’re talking about.

  64. BrianBucs Says:

    Munch

You must be an expert on those

  65. ben Says:

in the last 3 years M.M. has been the better qb on and off the field!… I have hope Winston improves but as of now…….

  66. Rod Munch Says:

Sweeptheleg – Winston dramatically reduced the turnovers this year and this is the first time in his career he’s ever been hurt, what are you talking about he needs to learn to stay healthy? You’re really reaching for talking points here. I do agree on the schedule, you play what is in front of you, but again, put Mariota in the NFC South and he’s doing much worse than Jameis is at this point. Mariota puts up OK numbers versus losing teams and generally performs terrible against good teams. KC had been on a huge slide going into the playoffs and Alex Smith choked that game away – what exactly did Mariota do in that game other than run around? I mean he fumbled the ball before half-time and got the ball back on a call I’ve never seen, forward progress being called on a straight up sack. He threw into a sea of KC players at the goal line and yet the ball bounced back into his hands. He made one good pass all day, the TD to Decker, which came after completely missing his guy on the prior play for a TD. Again this game was nothing to do with Mariota, he wasn’t any good, but he wasn’t Trent Dilfer either. The game was about Alex Smith getting shutout in the 2nd half when any score would have put the game away. Giving credit to Mariota for winning today is nonsense, it’s like the guys that say the Bucs won the game against the Saints because of the defense.

  67. Rod Munch Says:

BrianBucs – A “I know you are but what am I” comeback. Good one! LOL!

  68. tmaxcon Says:

Mariota does not have to overcome a heartless defense led by captain blowout cancer93….

  70. University of Seffner Says:

By the way Jameis, ignore the party poopers trying to tear you down! I believe in you Jameis!

  71. Sweeptheleg Says:

    @rodmucnh

On the staying healthy thing. I meant he needs to get that shoulder fixed ASAP.

If it’s a lingering thing he’s gonna be in trouble. I don’t think the coaching staff survives a 5-11 or 4-12 season again. And that could mean Winston’s days are numbered.

So I meant he needs to get the shoulder healthy and learn to protect the football better. I’m glad his int’s are down but the fumbling has to stop immediately

  72. SB Says:

LOLMFLMFAO at Tmaxi showing up talking about GMC!:) 🙂 Phucking Idiot!

Just to show how dumb this fool really is. The Titans and Russ Grimm has built a wall in Tennessee. They has one of best RB combo in the NFL in Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry. They has a great WR squad in Rishard Matthews, Eric Decker, Cory Davis, Taywan Taylor. TEs Delanie Walker, Jonnu Smith. How can a QB fail with these players?…………Now Einstein tell me what Jameis Winston is surrounded with!!!!

Yet they still love Jason Licht in Tampa
    For NOT building a team

  88. DB55 Says:

I’m guessing most of you are from St Pete or Bartow. Lol. Geoff ain’t doing jack squat against the falcons. Nfc south is clearly the best division in football. While the afc south is by far the weakest kinda like you scrubs.

    Tmax
If you turn on nbc you can watch a real 3tech play the position the way it’s supposed to be played.

  89. DB55 Says:

    Geoff looks like garbage. Lol

  90. James Walker Says:

Happy Birthday, Jameis! Keep it up! It will pay off for you and all of us.

  91. Eric Says:

Ill twll you what he won N dog, the game where he outplayed and beat Winston in college and in their first meeting in the NFL. So there gou have it buddy! Chew in that and suck it dude. Stop hating and rewind his game winng touchdown pass to Decker. What more do you want him to do? If Winston was paying against the Chiefs we would get blown out and Winston would gave 3 picks and 2 fumbles plus 300 meaningless yards.
Fir the dipspits who keep saying he threw inro triple coveragen Winstin does that at least 4 times a game and for the one bad overthrow Winston throws 10 of those each game but luckily Evans gigantic wingspan bail him out half the time. Remember he sucks at throwing a ball past 20 yards, just ask Desean Jackson about that one. You people are simply blinded by your FSU love….soooo soooo pathetic! Face it fools Mariota at thos point has beaten him head to head twice in both NFL and college and now he wins the whk gets to the plaoffs first and who advances first in the playoffs. Only category Winston reigns supreme is he has more fumbles and INT’s so not all is post Semen holes! What a birthday present Jameis!

  92. Broy34 Says:

Ndog / youre officially my favorite poster. If that same touchdown Mariota fumbled into was thrown by jameis it’s a terrible play. Mariota has a better team every phase of the game. Yet is definitely a worse QB all feelings aside. That was a fumble and would’ve won the game. And people just say Mariota won his first playoff game. The Titans won the game. Sick of Jameis carrying an entire organization. The coaches the players the owners. It’s all on jameis and his coach didn’t let him rip til it was too late and of course it happened when they had a running game.

  93. Kansas95Buc Says:

    Happy bday Jameis #THATSMYQB

  94. loggedontosay Says:

After next seasons, all of the huggers will be gone. Jameis will put the ball in the end zone on almost every offensive possession.

  95. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

Stats mean something for the player, it is their resume. It is how another team scoops up a player who skill set is not being used properly and BAM 🤗 they leave the losing team along with its negative fan base and…Go on and be Fameis!

Mariota is an example of what you can accomplish when you have a running game and a consistent defense to HELP…it’s a team game! Jameis is an example of what happens when you have no consistent HELP and you are playing the top division and you are being forced to play below your skillset…oh,oh, and you only played injured since game 2, and to YOUR throwing arm!

Sick, insensitive, delusional, fantasy pros, and Madden Experts!

Happy Birthday, Jameis, I’ll ride with you anytime!

REPUTATION is who people THINK you are, CHARACTER is who YOU know you are!

  96. Waterboy Says:

Can’t believe some of you all are talking Mariota up after watching that game tonight. Derek Henry and their defense in the 2nd half was the difference in that game.

A TD to himself??? I’ve never seen that before.

A sack fumble that the refs screwed up and called that forward progress was stopped when he clearly fumbled during the initial hit in the pocket.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GREATEST QB THE BUCS HAVE EVER HAD AND THE YOUNG MAN WHO IS #1 ALL-TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL IN PASSING YARDS AND TD PASSES BEFORE HIS 24TH BIRTHDAY!

As for MARIOTA … congrats to that young man, he doesn’t deserve to be bashed today … however anyone trying to say he’s better than Jameis … get real.

Mariota simply is NOT a real QB, he’s a gimmick.

On the season, Mariota had a:

Passer rating of 127.3 (#1 in the entire NFL) with 9 TDs and just 3 INTS when throwing out of PLAY-ACTION

    and a

Passer rating of 66.5 (WORST IN THE NFL) with 4 TDs and 12 INTS on all other passes

Give Mariota a dominant line and dominant running game so he can throw to wide-open receivers out of play-action and he can look like Tom Brady … on ALL OTHER PASSES, he has a worse passer rating than TREVOR SIEMIAN … SERIOUSLY!

Happy Birthday Jameis. Don’t listen to these idiots.

By the way, what are these games they play at the end of the season? My dog is nine years old and only watches the bucs, so he hasn’t seen one of these.

Marcus Mariotta has his Titans going to the second round of the playoffs while Jameis Winston sits at home, sucking on his fingers waiting for his Uber

  101. NFLNut Says:

^ So does future HOF’ers Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers and Eli Manning … TEAMS win games, not QBs …

  102. NFLNut Says:

Correction, Mariota on ALL PASSES other than play-action was second worst in the NFL … he was right between DeShone Kizer and Trevor Siemian … yuck.

All I gotta say is happy birthday kiddo. 24. Man. When I was 24 I was hell on wheels and didn’t even start to figure out life till my 30’s. Bout to be 40 and just happy to be able to support my fam and live a very small peice of the American pie. Our great qb is still a kid and it’s great. A couple years from now and we’ll all be saying, “What a great man and leader”.

Some of you are either football illiterate or just plain haters. Mm would be in a coffin if we drafted him. He rides that team unlike Winston who the team rides. Our trenches are pathetic. Ever wonder if Winston wishes he was drafted at number 2? If I was him and had this fan base, i would. With that afc south team he would have probably won a couple playoff games last year and taken a huge step this year. It’s no accident that he’s here. We have sucked so long that we won a number 1 pick. We absolutely need to fix the lines. Our offensive line is almost there with a couple pieces and our defensive line needs an overhaul. Kepp crying and you guys might run the best thing to happen in many years right out the door. And forr the Gruden fools? I was right here on this page rooting to get h im out back in 08. He’s a very good coach. Problem is he has no patience for youth and can’t draft for his life. He’s plain and simple, mediocre. We took a huge step by keeping dk and I am so happy. Finally we might have some stability since a decade ago. Enjoy the ride, enjoy our young franchise, and most of all, be happy we’re not the actual real life Browns.

Sorry for the smart phone typos in my last post.

  106. Blackmagic00 Says:

And one more lol. I’m a duck fan here on the west coast. And I was, am and will be a Winston fan. Dude is young but he’s fire! Best thing to happen to the Bucs since our Superbowl win.

  107. NFLNut Says:

^ GREAT posts Blackmagic00 … I loved when you asked, “you ever wonder if Winston wishes he was drafted #2”, as you make a great point. I agree that if Winston was on the Titans they would have easily won their division last year and this year … if the Titans had a “real QB” that team would be a legit Super Bowl contender rather than a mere Playoff Contender.

  108. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

Blackmagic…that is too real and true…!
Mariota would have been in a body bag if he was on the Bucs team! And he would not have been able to make this team rally like JW did last season. (how soon some forget)
Nothing against MM but he is not strong enough for The Bucs team or this weak ask FAN BASE!

  109. BringBucsBack Says:

Does Jameis also hold the record for the most fumbles and Ass-Passes by a QB, before 24?

  110. mark2001 Says:

NFL… just to make it clear….without Rodgers, the Packers are at best an 8-8 team. With the normal AR. they are in the NFC Championship game almost yearly. So let’s not fool ourselves into considering the impact of a mature and talented QB, that truly plays like a franchise QB.
