“We Forked Them A Few Weeks Ago”

December 1st, 2017

ATN boys down on Bucs.

The “Around the NFL” crowd is really down on the Bucs.

In their recent podcast previewing this week’s games, Dan Hanzus, Chris Wesseling, Gregg Rosenthal and Marc Sessler of NFL.com take their views of the Bucs public.

Well, all but Sessler.

None believe the Bucs will win in the Land of Cheese come Sunday. And Joe thinks they have valid points.

“They are done, they are cooked,” Hanzus said. “We forked them a few weeks ago.”

Wesseling even had the nerve to suggest the Bucs are a lesser team with America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, barking signals.

“Is that a positive?” Wesseling asked when Rosenthal noted Jameis is back. Rosenthal conceded backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was able to move the ball on the Dixie Chicks (but earlier in the podcast, Rosenthal talked about how Atlanta’s defense is suspect in his mind).

Rosenthal did add he expects Packers backup quarterback Brent Hundley to look sharp against the horrid Bucs road pass defense.

“Their secondary is terrible,” Rosenthal said of the Bucs. “Brent Hundley and the Packers even should be able to move the ball on this secondary.”

This is why Joe, in the latest “Ira Kaufman Podcast” predicted the Packers to win. On the road, the Bucs’ pass is beyond horrible, worst in the NFL, allowing 315 yards a game thrown on them.

If miserable Matt Moore can light up the Bucs for just shy of 300 yards passing — in one half! — and Hundley threw for three touchdowns on the road against the mighty Steelers last week, Joe can only imagine Hundley will have a career day against the Bucs.

Please pass the brats, cheese curds and Leinenkugels.

This secondary would be fine if opposing QBs didnt have enough time to eat a sandwich every passing down.

How about their head coach is TERRIBLE!!!!! Please Glazers fire this clown before the Gruden Induction into the Ring of Honor, because if you don’t my entire section plans on BOOing Dirk upon his entrance to the field in the second half.

I don’t know. I have a weird feeling about this game. A normal feeling would be the Pack pounding the Bucs in front of their home folks. But they are in the midst of a horrible season since Rodgers went down. They are desperate in front of the home folks.

If Jameis can manufacture one first half TD and a FG…I think we’ll be competitive the second half. The longer the game remains in doubt the better for us and the worse for the Pack.

  4. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

If this was a smart organization, we would be 2-9 right now and in contention for a top 3 pick that could have been turned into a whole lot more picks.

But hey we beat 2 awful teams, feels so good am I right?

  5. DB55 Says:

No lead is safe with captain McIceCream Tutti frutti rainbow sprinkles in the trenches.

The Bucs could be winning 24-0 at the half and softie mcbuttercups would let the packers run right down his throat. And when the Bucs lose 31-30 Tutti frutti rainbow sprinkles buttercups will have a big beautiful smile on his face to hug Hundley and “my favorite quarterback” Aaron Rodgers.

Awww he’s so sweet got luv it. But should Winston be his favorite quarterback? Wtfdik.

Gotta say, this is one of the most disappointing seasons in Bucs history, and I’ve been around for them all. I really hate this team right now. It’s like the movie groundhog day. Every season now seems to be the same sh*t. Out of it by mid-season, QB failures and massive defensive collapses that would make Leeman Bennett blush. The worst of it is, there doesn’t appear to be a quick fix. Glaring holes have been unearthed this year and who knows what becomes of Jameis, on and off the field. Uncertainty again. Merry f’n Christmas! 🙁

Hope is not part of football

  11. Pickgrin Says:

The Bucs players forked themselves starting about 9 weeks ago.

Not much “family” talk this year and “complementary football” has been about as visible as a Sasquatch in 2017.

  12. AlteredEgo Says:

^^^ the NFL forked themselves…witness the underground empty stadium photos from last weekend….the NFL $uper Nova has been sucked into a black hole

  13. AJ Says:

Oh yeah….with our “D”. Brett Hundley will make PackerFan forget about Aaron Rogers this weekend.

  14. ClwJB Says:

Hundley will be NFC Offensive Player of the Week, FedEx Air award winner and fuel “could be a starter in this league” chatter..297 yds 2 TD passing, 60 yds rushing with another TD…Pack 31 – Bucs 21 with all Bucs 21 pts coming in the 3rd/4th qtr down 24-0…at 24-21 Fitz throws a pick 6 (JW goes down on a vicious safety blitz sack in the second quarter) and the Pack celebrate until the wee hours…

Can we fire the entire staff after the game and just forfeit the last 4 games?

Yeah and my Dad took me to my first game at 8 years old in 1976…I can be as negative as I want after investing about 100k in this franchise over the past 42 years…

Dan Hanzus, Chris Wesseling, Gregg Rosenthal and Marc Sessler? Now those are household names. To suggest the Bucs are a lesser team with Jameis Winston?
Winston averaged 16.85 points per game and Fitzpatrick points per game 26.25. Interesting? Brett Hundley is averaging 16.57 per game. It will be a very close game with the Bucs pulling off the upset.

  19. notonline4 Says:

By the way the BUCS will beat the Packers!!!!

  20. Reach87 Says:

Sophomoric jabs at arguably our best defensive player. Nothing like a Bucs fan. Approaching moronic proportions. Go Bucs!
