Injury Doesn’t Appear Major

Walked without aid.
Obviously today, fan favorite, left tackle Donovan Smith did not take the field in the second half of the Big Easy Blowout.
The team officially stated Smith had a knee injury. Winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter also noted in his postgame press conference Smith suffered a knee injury but would not elaborate.
Joe walked out of the locker room after the game with Smith and asked him how he was. He told Joe he would be fine. Joe’s heard this enough from athletes to know better than to swallow that whole. We shall see when the injury reports are released prior to the Josh McCown/ASJackwagon Homecoming Game.
It was the first time in his NFL career that Smith missed any playing time.
If eyeballing means anything, Smith was wearing street clothes. He was not on crutches nor was he in a boot of any sort. Joe did not notice a limp but Smith was walking slowly, dragging his own baggage behind him, navigating the crowded exit.

I’ll bet “Winning” coach Dirk Koetter is relieved….
With Smith health he can call more 1st and 10 trick running plays with Doug Martin up the middle.

Agree with @theseasonisover. Retirement home mentality, “when’s payday around here?” As a 15 year season ticket holder, I am furious with this situation. Lost like a cork bobbing in a sea of futility. Way too many marginal players who say play harder, problem is – they can’t. I’m warming up to the Gruden idea but it’s a total rebuild project. I can no longer get excited to attend a BUCS game. Anyone want to buy some tickets?
