Ira Kaufman & Fans React

October 23rd, 2017

Hey, you missed a JoeBucsFan.com Watch Party event at Abe’s Place in Clearwater yesterday, but sports multimedia guru Rock Riley (@RealRockRiley) was in the house getting fan reaction and talking to Pro Football Hall of Fame voter Ira Kaufman. Enjoy!

If we have no pass rush then maybe we need to start dropping extra guys into coverage. Maybe we need to see 3-2-6 defense on obvious passing downs. I bet it’s a consideration right now as the coaching staff looks at the film. I mean really look at the tape, these guys can’t get there and we have 6 games of proof. We’re not even getting pressure on blitzes.

  2. C eh N eh D eh Says:

Pass Rush is about “relentless” effort to a certain degree…Maybe the relentless part is not present any Bucs defensive player…

  3. WyomingBucsFan Says:

We need some creativity here on defense. I mean this is ridiculous.

  4. Lamarcus Says:

    Wyoming

Or 3 3 5 Mustang. Spence needs wide 9 with David.

  5. Mike Johnson Says:

I always watch the next weeks opponent players and coaches comments for our upcoming game. RiverBoat Ron and the Panthers are pissed! He says He will have the Carolina Pnthers more than ready for our Bucs. Ron Rivera means it Buc Fans!
The Sordid life of a Bucs fan. It ain’t easy!

  6. NJBucsFan Says:

    over before it started….

  7. ndog Says:

Not that we should need or deserve a break but the Vikings came off of a loss to the Steelers (highly motivated), the Patriots came off of a home loss to Carolina (highly motivated), the Cardinals came off of a bad loss to the Eagles and just got AP (highly motivated), the Bills came off of a loss then a bye (highly motivated) and now the Panthers come off of a bad loss (highly motivated) all right before they play us. Couple that with the hurricane messing up the schedule and this is just not going to end well. And on yeah we are horrible on defense on top of all that. But seriously cant we face a team that is fat and happy just so we can catch a little bit of a break?

  8. I'm tired and 87 is right Says:

So far this season we have not gotten any breaks that’s for sure. Penalties at the unfortunate times and exactly what ndog stated above. It’s just not our year and maybe the best thing for this franchise going forward is to just focus on development and fundamentals then in the offseason go get some solid defensive players. They need to seriously look at changing this defense up scheme wise and possibly at year end look for a firey defensive coach. These guys have to learn to play mean on defense. I do think our day will come we just have to keep chipping away. Go Bucs! And Bucs fans you all rock for what we have been put through and one day it will all pay off! Never give up!

  9. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I have a very cocky friend from Boston, who predicted all of this for us this year.
He is gloating, and saying “I Told You So” 🙁
Hump cost us that game, with his fumble, the SECOND one this year.
    That broke our backs
Yes, our season is more or less over, unless we win out, and even then, it is iffy.
The Panther game here in Tampa is an absolute must win.

I’ll start with the frustration every other fan has Rock, real fan. We had this game won, the Pats game handed to us, and we couldn’t take either one. Fruatrating.

Now on to the reality of our situation. We haven’t played one division game yet! Real talk, we could still be NFC South division champs by the end of this season! Get these guys off the ledge Real Rock Riley! We’re two game behind the Saints for the division lead, the same Saints team who started the season 0-2 looking horrible (again) on D. We have the players, and we’re getting healthy .. yesterday’s game being the first full game all three of our backers were on the field the entire game.

R-E-L-A-X Bucs fans! #StickCarriers! Where y’all at?!? We find ourselves at 4-4 a couple weeks from now and we’re probably sitting atop our division. I’m still not trippin’. We’ve only lost two Conference games, and both wins have been in the NFC!
Get these guys right Rock. Dirk is at the podium …..

@JayBucBoi Im with you. I seriously think the bucs will be 4 – 4 and building momentum into second half of the season. Carolina looks beatable and so does NY. We saw a much better Koetter and JW duo yesterday that should have the NFL on notice. Things seem bleak but not as bad as we all think. I think bucs are on the way up!

  12. GhostofSchiano Says:

GMC is a TEAM CAPTAIN. As such why has he not called a defense players only meeting and put his big foot in several butts to get this thing fixed. As a leader (A Veteran leader at that) he should be motivating his teammates like R. Lee Emery in full metal jacket, of course he won’t swear. But you get the point. I am beginning to think some on this website are justified in their critique of GMC. I like GMC, big fan, but he needs to be the leader of the defense that Sapp was. If your reading this GMC step up and take control of your unit CAPTAIN!

    http://www.espn.com.au/nfl/boxscore?gameId=400951575

Bucs 69 rushing yards vs Bills 173….
    Bucs….6 Fumbles.

Atlanta dumped Koetter and Smith as neither can make real time game adjustments.
    The D….3rd and 12,…3rd and 14…..Fail! …..1st down
The lousy effort in team practices for months = screw up when the moment counts.
Hargreaves gets demoted. …..yet he played 10 yards off every reciever for 4 games
And Smith did nothing about it…..until the league ran up 300 yards on Vernon.
