Bucs Were Full-Go In The Indoor Facility

September 29th, 2017

“Out of the heat, men.”

Halfway through Wednesday’s practice in pads at One Buc Palace, the Bucs stopped practicing and marched methodically toward their nearly completed indoor practice facility about 100 yards away.

Yes, Joe saw this through a window inside One Buc Palace, though practice officially was closed to the media at that time.

The Bucs weren’t just doing a walk-through-style session indoors, Joe was told by Dirk Koetter today. “On Wednesday, we went individual and kicking [periods] out here and then we did everything else in the indoor,” Koetter said while speaking on the field.

Koetter added of the “half-and-half” session, “It was awesome.”

Overall, Koetter characterized this as a strong week of practice, a “pretty normal week.”

Hopefully, the Bucs play great on Sunday against the Giants. If not, Joe wonders whether Koetter will reconsider practicing indoors during his one day in pads.

Coaches can be superstitious. And Koetter has said previously that he has his own.

The only thing Koetter needs to reconsider is controlling the play-calling. As well as running Charles Sims up the middle every other play.

they should only practice indoors after a win….lose and your outside all week…that’s a nice little carrot to keep in front of them…GO BUCS!!!

Belichick already has 8 hidden cameras in the rafters… 😉

    another excuse removed.

Well they will head indoors after half the game Sunday too. Hope they come back out this week for the second half.

This game is huge for so many reasons.

“running Charles Sims up the middle every other play”

Do the negative commenters here even watch this team play? Sometimes I really wonder.

Oj “I Got The Juice” Howard – Charles Sims has exactly 4 rushes so far this season. 4 rushes out of 124 snaps is exactly 3.2% of plays that are Charles Sims runs. Just a BIT off the 50% mark that your “every other play” statement would necessitate.

I hope that strong week of practice means offense and they play “lights out” for all the stick carriers on Sunday. Can’t wait to watch the game. Anxious to see how they bounce back after that whooping they took last week. Hate to say that this is a “must win” but the schedule says different. Doesn’t get any easier the next couple of weeks. Hope we don’t have to climb out of a 1-3 or 1-4 start. Wouldn’t be able to tie Vikings or Giants for a Wildcard spot either. Hard to see the Giants going 0-4 after how they started playing last week but the Bucs can do it with the home crowd going crazy if it’s close. Bring it Bucs!

    I love this idea.

NFL handed fines out to Vikings players (per pft):
“Sendejo hit Brate in the back of the head in the end zone on a 15-yard touchdown reception. Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said afterward an official admitted he should have thrown a flag.

The league fined Barr $18,231 for a horse-collar tackle, and Rhodes lost $9,115 for a taunting penalty.”

My question is whether the refs got fined for calling such a bad game. They let the Vikings get away with everything.

  11. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Sendejo got fined close to $25,000.

ok ….that’s a pretty special thing. Ask every ex-Buc if they think an air conditioned training facility would have helped and to a man they would probably agree. Now there can be no excuses about energy zapping temperatures being the reason for a low energy and unconditioned output on game day. Give it all, leave nothing on that field. stand-up, dominate, and defend our home turf. There will be no parlay. 2 – 1

  13. Please Says:

Yeah that game was called pretty bad, there were 3 blatant offsides by the Vikings that weren’t called, I couldn’t believe it.

lol pickgrin, I thought the same thing reading that comment.

That play call is frustrating, but I believe we’ve seen it twice all season? But ya know, that’s pretty close to “every other play”.

Definitely some pisspoor officiating last week. Hopefully this week is better.
