Kwon Love

August 1st, 2017

Bold prediction.

Man, when is the last time you remember NFL Network throwing so many roses at the Bucs?

If one is a regular watcher of “Good Morning, Football,” seen weekday mornings, it’s almost like the crew is a syndicate of the Bucs cheerleaders. Rarely a morning goes by that the Bucs are not discussed.

Today, co-hosts Peter Schrager, Nate Burleson and Bucs fans’ it-girl Kay Adams (“Don’t ask me about my business, Kay”) talked about 2017 breakout players in the NFC South.

Schrager is all over Kwon Alexander being the next stud linebacker in the NFL. You can view Schrager’s presentation below.

You know one reason why Alexander is getting so much run of late? Many Bucs fans, especially the anti-social-media types, won’t want to read this, but it’s because Alexander is so prominent on Twitter and Instagram. He often speaks his mind when he feels he or his teammates are slighted, and reaches out to those with influential voices.

This is the 21st century version of the squeaky wheel getting the grease.

Finally stepped up and bought an authentic Bucs jersey this year. Did I get Winston?… nope! Did I get McCoy?… nope! Did I get Evans?… nope! I got kwons jersey. Dude is an absolute stud of a player. I can’t wait for him to get the recognition he deserves.

    Surveys says: correct for 58,000.

  3. Blackmagic00 Says:

Got my Kwon jursey as well, in white to go with my black bucs hat. Can’t wait to embrace the Kwon week one!!!!

  4. darin Says:

Naaaaa. They could care less about players who tweet their own horns…unless of course that player can play. In this case the two things line up. Go Kwon, go Bucs

  5. Lord Cornelius Says:

Kwon broke out already 2 years ago imo. I think he may have his best year now but it’s not like the dude wasn’t already a core stud.

IMO the biggest breakout potential on defense is in guys like Noah Spence / VHIII ; or Kieth Tandy even though his breakout really started last year if it continues.

If Tandy continues at that pace he will basically be an all pro lol.

If VHIII can become more of a #1 CB than a struggling rookie then damn we would have one of the best secondaries in the league.

If Spence can get to 10+ sacks and bring consistent pressure then hot damn

Well Joe you’ve got me watching. But as you have pointed out….Kay Adams is enough to keep anybody watching. She’s just to dang cute and has a natural beauty and charisma…in a field of hot babes she still stands out.

But I like Schrager’s takes and the visitors are frequently interesting as well.

As for Kwon this is his breakout year. Oh he’s been good but it sometimes takes a guy a bit to realize how good he can be. In the beginning they just want to make the team…then contribute….then finally if they have that “it” factor they realize just how good they are and that they not only belong in “the league” but are actually one of the greats. This is his year!!! He’s starting to feel it now. Talent and confidence are a wicked combination…add solid coaching and a good team around him and it’s Kwon’s world now.

  7. Erik w/ Clean Athletics 'The Kwon Alexander of Bucs fans' Says:

Yes. Kwon should dominate from this point on and he’s gonna be the best MLB in the NFL for the next decade…

The Kwon’s of the World are going to get what’s rightfully theirs for the taking. Because they work harder for it and desire it more deeply. Lol

  8. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    My two top Buc visions….

Chucky running down the sideline at SB…fist pumping!!!

And…..Kwon ripping the ball from Julio Jones….

    Two fantastic visions!!!

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Here is the fist pump from Gruden at 3:38 in this video….enjoy the whole video if you like.

    @Tampabaybucfan

Thank you!!! That is a great video and makes everyone “realize” why he is going into the Ring of Honor as the first coach!!!!!!

My favorite was after the superbowl and opened the season in Philly were they just opened their new stadium and after the win, their was Head Coach Gruden in the locker room screaming ” We Beat Balboa!!!! We Beat Balboa!!!!!

  11. Kobe Faker Says:

Kwon still has alot to learn

What chrissy McCafferty is going to do to kwon trying to pass defend him is going to be embarrassing

“Kwon is still very gullible and out of position”

    Kobe faker

  12. Matthew Says:

Kwon is gonna be the #1 4-3 LB in the NFL . Because guys like Kwon blow up because they want it more than anyone . The hit on rookie McNichols proves what Kwon is about and that’s punishment against the world he lost a lot off the field and his attack method on defense has made him great . Hof one day if he keeps doing his job this way . If Kwon played as a 3-4 lb he would be there with Vic Beasley and Von Miller at the top. He’s easily better than Luke kuechlyy right now that’s for damn sure . Not even a topic of debate . If Richie brown can take the other OLB spot and own that spot we will have the best LBs in the NFL . That seriously how good our Lbs are . Teams with rbs and TEs don’t even wanna mess with us . Zeke was good in Dallas vs our defense but look how many hits that man took. He’s a tough SOB. You know he was hurting after that game. Guess which way all his runs were aimed too.. Oh I know away from Kwon and LVD! Sucks bakers hurt , but not to worried I like McDonald and the rookie we drafted .

  13. SOEbuc Says:

They’ve been sayin Kwon has been workin like the Jameis of the defense this offseason. He wants to be the next DB55 of this defense and NFL.

  14. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Kobe..alot is spelled two separate words..a lot…I learned that in 2nd grade..in an Afrikaans speaking school..

    And you’re wrong on Kwon…

  15. Rod Munch Says:

Kwon has been the best player on the Bucs defense for 2 years – and that’s no slight on anyone else – he’s just been that good.

  16. Issic Haggins Says:

Kwan is very good but I haven’t seen the skill level of Kuechly that guy when healthy is the best in the game .

  17. Kobe Faker Says:

    Life of buc

Kobe never edits his posts nor underestand what he just wrote

    “This obama phone suks!”

    Kobe Faker

“Lord Cornelius posts at bucsnation website…bann his as$!”

  18. Piratic Says:

    Kobe Faker=Oath Breaker

  19. godzilla13 Says:

21 tackles in the Dallas game. Yes, twenty one. This defense is amazing and Kwon Alexander is just plain “bad azz”. I would like to see him blitz the QB more this year.
