Jameis Gives Back

August 7th, 2017

Alabama roots explored.

Pretty cool video about America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, giving back to his hometown.

Last month, NFL Films followed Jameis back to Bessemer, Ala. with a “Hard Knocks” crew, and it seems Buccaneers.com joined them.

The video below shares Jameis working in his community and hanging at home, not like some rock star making drive-by appearances, just Jameis being Jameis — not the NFL quarterback, but the person down the street.

Clinton McDonald is featured in the video raving about what a class act Jameis is. He worked at Jameis’ football camp. Also, Jameis noted he can’t big league his family or his friends back in Bessemer because they know him too well.

“They know I’m not coming back dressed in a tuxedo,” Jameis said. “I’m not changing for nobody.”

What a monster this guy turned out to be, huh?

Well rounded and grounded guy. He definitely embraced adulthood and commands his life. No victim-hood there! Neither money or fame is taking over his life. That’s what makes America’s QB Great!!!!

    Great Role Model!!!!

    Keep bringing them Licht!!!

Winston will never complain about his knees or referees to the media.

Strong video Jameis is the man!!! The most underestimated quality of Winston in my opinion is his ability to motivate others and be a leader on and off the filed. His attitude and approach has already changed his teammates drive and resurrected this fanbase. We are lucky to have this guy.

    From an Auburn Tiger.

It is still very hard to be Black in Alabama.

Alabama has one of the worst education systems in the country.

    Police still profile and harass.

Lean, cocaine, and pills are poisoning their community.

Public schools in Black areas are unfairly underfunded.

The Black South needs a lot of help.

    RIP Dr. King.

And Jah Bless Jameis Winston- “Hope for the South”

    Keep it up!!

    One Love.

    @ joe

Im listening to the radio and the show thats on 9 – 12 does not seem to want to give the stick carriers and jbf credit for the atmosphere on saturday. They keep saying “the fans” were rowdy. I see they do not want to show you any love now that you are not with the big dawg show. Thats a shame. Good job to you and justin for such a great showing on saturday.

@teacherman…I agree…sadly very little has changed in the deep south….florida included….I remember a friends car breaking down in Astor while traveling from Ocala to Daytona beach….the looks those folks were giving us sent chills down my spin….I loaded up the pistol and told my friend to keep an eye out because I had to bleed the valve on the radiator….good thing I felt the presents of the Lord with us…..I think I did everything in about 7 minutes flat!!!….GO BUCS!!!

There is not a single QB I’d draft ahead of Jameis in a league-wide draft, not Brady, Rodgers, no one!
