Kwon Wants To Meet The Stick Carriers

Kwon talks Stick Carriers

Yes, Saturday will be a very special day at training camp.

The Stick Carriers, with members confirmed to be flying in from 10 states and Panama, will be out in force cheering and screaming as it’s a playoff game — except it’s an early-August practice.

It will be a spectacle, and Joe is sure the Buccaneers players and the entire organization will be juiced from top to bottom. Dirk Koetter already is fired up about the Stick Carriers, as he explained in great detail.

If the Stick Carriers have a fan favorite, it might be Kwon Alexander.

Today’s Buccaneers birthday boy feels like the player who carries the biggest stick, meaning he is ready to bring it on every snap. Jameis Winston is right there with him, but Kwon gets to hit people, so it’s different.

These rabid fans have shown Kwon a ton of love on Twitter over the past month and he told Joe he’s been resistant to embrace them fully on social media because he hasn’t met them.

Kwon is eager to have that change Saturday.

“I really don’t know too much about them but I see them all the time on Twitter. And they keep asking me to be a Stick Carrier. It looks like it’s fun. I’m happy we got some fans fired up and ready to cheer for us at practice,” Kwon said. “I heard they be loud. So I can’t wait to hear them. I see them all the time on Twitter, so it will be really nice to meet them in person. I like when the fans get like that.”

What a fan-player bonding day is ahead. Point of note, there is nothing that officially makes you a Stick Carrier, only a fiery, never-ending passion for the Bucs, and it helps if you believe Koetter is The Godfather of the movement and/or listen to Bucs Uncensored.

Joe sure hopes the Bucs are ready.
