“I Think He Is Just Scratching The Surface.”

June 30th, 2017

Lofty expectations.

Apparently someone doesn’t watch NFL Network.

For the second time this week, the Bucs — and America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, in particular — got mad props from a co-host of “Good Morning, Football.”

And that would be good guy Peter Schrager, who also doubles as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports. The panel, sans Bucs fans’ it-girl Kay Adams, discussed what player will make the biggest rise in next summer’s “Top 100 Players” list, which is allegedly voted on by NFL players.

This year Jameis debuted at No. 57. Expect a much higher ranking next summer, said Schrager.

“My big jump for next season is a guy who I think is leading his team to the playoffs,” Schrager said. “I’m going with Jameis Winston. [I’m] all in on this team. You add DeSean Jackson and you add O.J. Howard but you also add another year of experience for Jameis. I think he is just scratching the surface.”

Well, a lot of factors will determine whether Jameis rises on this list. One ,of course, the Bucs must make the playoffs. Another is what kind of a season Jameis has. At least on paper, the roster is set up for Jameis to have a monster year.

  2. The Buc Realist Says:

If JW3 just gets 3 more Td’s then last year, ( which should be easy) He will hold the ALL time TD Record for the Bucs!!!!!!!!! It is very possible that in year 3 we will have a new Leader for TD’s in franchise history!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!

Man, with all the weapons and additional experience, coupled with the off-season work, I too am expecting good things.

“Apparently someone doesn’t watch NFL network.” Haha yeah Joe and for good reason. Other than the Classic Games that network is a joke in the offseason, Bucs props or not. Was watching with a friend the other day and just loved how Nate Burelson put Jarvis Landry in his top five WR but no Mike Evans. And then dude came out with a cardboard mike evans face over his and everyone was like yeah Burelson you’re a f*ckin idiot

  6. Buc1987 Says:

SOEbuc…I don’t watch it a lot during the offseason either, but I think it’s better than having no football coverage at all. Better than ESPN for sure.

  7. NFLNut Says:

As long as JW stays healthy he should be the ALL-TIME BUCS FRANCHISE LEADER in BOTH passing yards AND passing TD’S before he even turns 25 years old … that’s insane!

  8. Bucsfanman Says:

    ^^^Amazing isn’t it! Go Bucs!

  9. Gilhealy Says:

@Nut..and there’s so much more to come. This team, with Jameis’ energy running thru all 3 aspects, will be so confident and fast. Like someone here mentioned earlier, the kid has only 4 seasons of big time football behind him. What he’s gonna do is mind boggling. Doubters can doubt. I’ll wait and see’rs can wait and see. I’ll just expect the greatness and enjoy the show. He’s one of a kind. The first Jameis Winston. Antonor and Loretta did a fine job. The force is strong with this one. May the gods keep you healthy.
