A Life-Changing Moment

April 27th, 2017

Day of days.

For 32 players, tonight just may be the highlight of their lives.

When their names are called by NFL strongman Roger Goodell, and he announces they are now NFL players, it will be the culmination of their still young athletic lives.

All the hours on the practice fields, in the gyms, in the weight rooms, in the film rooms. The hours upon hours upon hours of sweat and blood and bruises and, in some cases, injuries and surgeries will have all been worth it.

In a cool video put out by the NFL, Bucs receiver Mike Evans remembers the night he was drafted and explains how it changed not just his life, but his family members’ lives forever.

The reason everyone is excited about this draft, isnt where the team is at.

    Its Jason Licht.

He has drafted exceptionally well- since Lovie left.
We have confidence that these next 3 days, he will add several valuable and talented players.

In the history of this team- how many times could we say that??
That makes for an exciting draft!

I always get a good laugh when Goodell walks up to the podium and is showered with BOOOOOOO’s lol

One of the cool things about the draft…beyond finding who is coming to your team…are the many human interest stories.

So many so it’s easy to take for granted but man on a personal level as Joe pointed out this is going to be ONE MFING NIGHT FOR 32 new young millionaires.

Dreams and aspirations all validated in one announcement from the stage. No wonder these guys are so jacked and emotional!!!

  9. Dewey Selmon Says:

It had been a joy following #13. His dad/uncle murder, Johnny Football, whining to the refs, National Anthem, and monster catches. Best WR ever for this franchise!

  10. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

What time tonight do we expect the Bucs to turn in their card?

  11. Rob Says:

Good for all the draftees, they work hard for their dream.

And, you won’t be designated as a UPS driver, claims adjuster or God forbid … a Vero Beach lounge singer.

Yeah you all say these good things about him now but let him pull a Dougie or what any other number of players like him have done and see how fast how a number of you turn coat on him real fast like talkin bout. Calling him names like pos and just making him out to be such a bad person like tmax and others do to Dougie and GMAC93. Even more he showed what he could do as a rookie but then he has 11 extra drops and some dismissed him like he was the worst in the league. So sometimes these words of well wishing are a bit much.
