Takeaways

Players developing knack for takeaways.

Players developing knack for takeaways.

Joe is of the belief that for the Bucs have a prayer against the Seahawks, they must force turnovers.

Yeah, it’s cliché and in the grand scheme of things doesn’t equate wins. The Bucs were tied for fifth in the NFL with takeaways in 2013, but the Bucs won four games and commander Greg Schiano was shown the door.

For the this game, the reason why Joe is veering from the philosophy that turnovers do not equate to wins is that the Seahawks just don’t turn the ball over. They have a grand total of six turnovers this season. Six! As Al Michaels would say, that’s insane.

So if the Seahawks are coughing up the ball Sunday, that is telling Joe they are having a miserable season.

The Bucs, in the past five weeks, have shown they can get turnovers. Since Week 5, the Bucs have 15 takeaways, the most in the NFL.

Defensive coordinator Mike Smith said this week that turnovers come in bunches. Joe hopes this trend lasts just a little while longer.

IF I’m not mistaken, KC was on the plus side of the TO ratio, so anything can happen against the Seahawks.

Making them punt will be our greatest takeaway on Sunday.

JW error free game and a solid running game will make us competitive.

The key to win the game though is AGUAYO!

    Go Bucs!!!

I thought Smitty said that a few weeks ago?

Going to be a great matchup! Can’t wait for Sunday!
Hope Evans man handles the heck out of Sherman.

We have a winner right here! “Making them punt will be our greatest takeaway on Sunday.”

  6. Louis Friend Says:

Totally agreed. Not just making them punt but pinning them deep during the game. Giving the Seahawks a short field is death. So special teams needs to be perfect, and it’s good to have Anger around to make that happen.

The BCUS number one goal for Sunday is get off the field on third down; if the turnovers comes that would be great.
