“I’m All In”

November 27th, 2016
A call to arms.

A call to arms.

If you are not listening regularly to Joe’s good friend “The Commish,” Justin Pawlowski, and his thrice-weekly podcast “Bucs Uncensored,” what’s the matter with you?

Justin brings home to each podcast both the information and the passion that Bucs fans crave. Who says there is nothing local to listen to on your commute to work each weekday when you can subscribe to “Bucs Uncensored?”

Anyway, Justin, who bleeds green and gold and not only is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida but is also a member of the Bulls Radio Network on football broadcasts, is setting aside his college team loyalty for the Bucs.

In other words, after watching America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, get hyped and later, tear apart the Chiefs with the warchant cry ringing in his ears, Justin called on all Bucs fans to Chop for Jameis and make the warchant echo throughout the Den of Depression.

In his Monday podcast, Justin asked all Bucs fans to put aside their college allegiances and Chop for Jameis today, and throughout Jameis’ career with the Bucs.

“So I ask the question: Do we unite under our own chant? Is that what has been missing inside Raymond James Stadium, that we don’t have the warchant? Because not only did Jameis Winston go out there and light it up, I mean he was as good as he’s ever been. … Folks, you have the ultimate leader. And if it takes us to do the f’ing warchant inside Raymond James Stadium – I’m not a Seminoles fan. But you know what? My team comes first. My NFL team, if I am paying money to go there, then [the Bucs] come first.

“If you are a Gators fan and a Bucs fan, OK, you can park your ego at the door for f’ing four hours. I’m all in. I am all in on doing the warchant at Bucs games if that is going to help Jameis Winston play that way and make [Roberto] Aguayo hit field goals right down the middle no matter where he is on the field.”

One reason the Den of Depression earned its name is that it’s been a long time since fans have bonded together to raise the roof (even though there is no roof). What better way than when Jameis is introduced, and when the offense takes the field (but not after they break the huddle), fans coming together as one to support Jameis and make sure he hears the warchant loud and clear?

Because on Sundays, we are not Seminoles fans or Gators fans or Canes fans or Bulls fans or Knights fans. We are Bucs fans together and Jameis fans in particular. As we know by now, as Jameis goes, so go the Bucs.

And both the Bucs and Jameis will need everyone’s full support today, no matter where we went to school or who we cheer for on Saturdays.

    I’m in.

  2. BKNYfootballhead Says:

Tampa needs its own rallying cry. Why scream like an Indian with a pirate for a mascot? Please don’t do this Tampa fans, come up with something original and less annoying. Dumb.

  3. lightningbuc Says:

Sorry, but this is just plain stupid.

  4. Jerry G Says:

@BKNYfootballhead obviously your not a true Bucks fan!a real Tampa fan does what it takes to show the players they are behind them at all times! you are probably one of those “fans” that always considers changing team unlike a us real fans that are with them losing season after losing season NO MATTER WHAT!

  5. Jerry G Says:

@ LIGHTINBUC same goes for you!if you don’t even show up to games then you don’t have a right to an opinion on showing the team support and rallying around them.

  6. Aguayebrows Says:

Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Love it for the Noles, Braves, Chiefs, Indians, but do you notice a pattern there? If we start doing this we’ll just be giving people another reason to make fun of Tamp Bay fans. Im sure Jameis had some nice feelings of nostalgia playing in a stadium where they do the war chant, but if you think at actually affected his play you’re dreamin. We’ve got to find our own thing. You can’t give yourself your friends nickname, no matter how cool it is. Same logic applies here.

  7. Evo Says:

Ok @bkny @lightning and everyone else who can’t do that chant. Making our own does seem like a great idea. So instead of shi!!ING on things. Come up with solutions. I suggest instead of ooooooooohhhhh ooohhhhhhhhh

we chat arrrrrrrr aaarrrrrrrrrrr like pirates lol!

  8. Evo Says:

@Aguayebrows our qb admitted it helped him several times during the game. And several times post game.

  9. Blake_bucsfan Says:

THE TAMPA CHOP BABY! FOR ALL OF YOU GATORS FANS I’VE DELEVOPED AN ALTERNATE TO THE TRADITIONAL WARCHANT! ” GOOOOOOOOOO BUCS GOOOOOOOOOOOO! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUCS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

  10. Jim Says:

Wave silver plastic cutlasses and shout “ARRRRGH”. Simple…

  11. Rrsrq Says:

Not… shouldn’t happen, we are not Nole, Gator, Bulls, Knights or Rattler fans on Sunday, but we are Bucs fans, so why bring up a freaking college chant, next issue, I’ll pass

  12. Leighroy Says:

Yooooo Hooooo Hooooo A piiiiiiiirates liiiiiife for meeeeeeee…….

  13. Bob in valrico Says:

Whats wrong with a Jameis ! Jameis! Jameis! chant when he is introduced. We need to build our own tradition.

  14. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’d like to know what VH3 thinks about this…..hell……what does Jameis think?

Jameis is a team guy all the way…..he’s selfless….

If this happens, it happens and can only be stopped by Jameis.

My suggestion……do the chant once, just before Jameis his first series….just as a notice to Jameis that fans suport him.

  15. Aguayebrows Says:

@evo In what way did it help him? Did it put more zip on his passes? Did it make him more accurate? I got the impression from his statements about the chant that it hyped him up. Hyped up is overrated. In fact in Jameis’s case I think being overhyped has hurt him more than it’s helped him this season. I think it has a lot to do with some of his issues early in games. I love the Seminole war chant. It’s one of the great traditions in college football. It just isn’t for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As far as what we should be doing instead, how bout making some noise on third down? That would be a good start.

  16. Bob in valrico Says:

pirate bandannas, eyepatches and cutlasses sound good to me.

  17. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

Do anything but that Stupid Tampa then Bay chant, that silences 1/2 of the stadium.

    _____________

Um, asshat, I’ll be there today. Will you? WTF are you talking about?

  19. Jason Mobsby Says:

I was going to comment on this but it would probably get me banned on this site. Go Bucs .

  20. lightningbuc Says:

While we’re at it with this silly nonsesnse, when the Bucs are on defense we should sing “Boomer Sooner” to motivate Gerald McCoy.

  21. COREYATX Says:

    Next idea up!

  22. Pit Says:

We really have some losers fan. Don’t we?

  23. tmaxcon Says:

Ice cream motivates fragile 93 not any chants…

  24. Evo Says:

@Aguayebrows I’m not the player. I wasn’t on the field wth him. It was his comments not mine. I was just letting you know he said it motivated him. So how about you go ask Americas QB how it helped him. Go back to the JBF archives. It’s public record. He said it helped.

  25. BucsFanInChina Says:

Please don’t be a retahd. While the chiefs thing was funny FSU is in Jameis’ and Robert’s past. Let them be adults and leave the past in the past

  26. MattDaddy82 Says:

Our chant is, TAMPA!!!——>BAY!!!! , when that used to get going back in the glory days it was AWESOME!! One side of the stadium trying to be louder than the other.

  27. JonBuc Says:

Sounds gimmicky….loved that it stoked Jamies in hostile territory, however. And no…it doesn’t make me any less of a fan.

  28. Clodhopper Says:

You could do something that energizes a QB that has a contagious attitude to the rest of the team and bond with thousands of fans, or you could sit there and chat on Facebook all game whining about how quiet the stadium is.

One of those sounds dumb and one doesn’t.

  29. The Buc Realist Says:

We need a Sea Shanty!!!! and put our own lyrics too it!!!!!! Were Pirates and Buccaneers for crying out loud!!!! Even Bighoghaynes dresses up on the weekends and told me that he is a “but-pirate” WHATEVER that is!!!! Anyways, it needs to be some what with a “pirate history”

  30. The Buc Realist Says:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CuyLbC2TZo

we just need to pick a good Sea Shanty that sounds like a good chant!!!!!!!

    But we do need something!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!

  31. orlbucfan Says:

The Tomahawk Chop symbolizes Native Americans. A Buccaneer is NOT a Native American! I rest my case. 🙂

  32. Blake_bucsfan Says:

NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE MASCOT! IT IS A BATTLECRY THAT OUR QUARTERBACK GETS FRIGGIN JUICED UP WHEN HE HEARS IT RING IN HIS EARS! DO THE WARCHANT AND PUMP UP THE VOLUME!

  33. Clodhopper Says:

I remember when Moose Johnston got the ball all the Cowboy fans screamed “Moose!” What’s does a Moose have to do with a cowboy?

I remember that first time the Red Sox won the World Series, during the championship series Yankee fans chanting “Who’s your daddy?” What does that have to do with the Sox or Yankees?

    Nothing!! Who cares?

If the rest of the league don’t get the context of the chant, again, who effing cares? Screaming Tampa and Bay a few times a game and sitting on your hands on third down don’t seem to be working. There is a change in order!!

  34. The Buc Realist Says:

    Sea Shanty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. Dave Says:

I don’t t buy it. I don’t care what JW said, he gets pumped up regardless.
Do the Tampa – Bay chant or come up with our own. He’s a Buc now, our own chants and passion will pump him up

  36. DallasBuc Says:

A Seminoles annoying aas war chant during a Bucs game because superstitiously you believe it will improve the play of your QB and then vicariously or through osmosis the rest of the team to help lift them to victory?
Only in Tampa. Some sad stupid sht.

  37. Clodhopper Says:

There’s something the fans can do that will pump up a QB that the rest of the team says runs off on them and it gets poo pooed by some whiney ass fans? Only in Tampa.

Why chant anything then? Why cheer? It’s just superstition and hokem. Might as well just have the fans sit on their hands and shush everyone that makes a peep.

  38. BigHogHaynes Says:

No comment at this time! Ha ha ha ha ha!

  39. DallasBuc Says:

Cockhopper- the only whiny aas fans are the ones crying with indignance at the suggestion that maybe a Noles warchant at a Bucs game doesn’t make sense and would make us look stupid because it is stupid.

  40. Clodhopper Says:

I’m not so sure about that. You sound awfully whiney to me

  41. COREYATX Says:

    OOOO👆EEE👇OOOO, 👆YOOO👇OOOOO

  42. The bucfan 88 Says:

I’ll not only do the chant I’ll dress up like the fsu mascot for him if he keeps it up

  43. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

    Do the spartan A’OOO, A’OOO, A’OOO

  44. DallasBuc Says:

Cockslobber- people stating opinions that differ from yours are not therefore automatically whining. Letting dudes put their dcks in your mouth doesn’t automatically make you a … oh nevermind.

  45. Clodhopper Says:

You’re absolutely right. Stating different opinions is not whining. But.. whining like a bitch does in fact make you a whiner. But carry on thinking about things you want your mouth.

  46. Buccfan37 Says:

Bucs uncensored is great, the fan messages are good. The chant? Oh oh ohh oh, no no noa no.

  47. COREYATX Says:

In my head, there is a droning chant that is everything pirate. I can’t think of the specific reference and can’t look it up, because I’m currently shooting a game for Friday Night Tykes(haha), but it sounds like my last post. It would sound great with an entire stadium joining in.

  48. Newbucsfan2 Says:

Just do it and see how it goes. Anything to break that horrible record of losing at home. What is there to lose!!?

  49. lightningbuc Says:

Supposedly the Gators “Mr. Two Bits” lives in Tampa. Maybe the Bucs could hire him to do the Two Bits chant to fire up Vernon Hargreaves. I mean, let’s sing every players alma mater while we’re at this stupidity.

  50. Newbucsfan2 Says:

Bucs uncensored is great, the fan messages are good. The chant? Oh oh ohh oh, no no noa no.

    That’s a good option!

  51. Sal Says:

Pretty sad that anyone thinks that someone getting paid millions of dollars will play better if there is some nonsensical warchant going on in the background.

Typical of our low IQ fanbase.

Inwill be there, as I am every home game, unlike most of you.

  52. RealityCheck Says:

Everybody around me at the Bucs games can barely bring themselves to clap their hands so this seems like a stretch unless the Bucs put it on the big screen and make the push for it.

  53. CalBucsFan Says:

While attending the LA Lambs game at the RJ in September, I thought when the fans started volleying “Tampa”… “Bay” back and forth from one side of the stadium to the other was pretty good, but not near loud enough to be disruptive. That is in essence what a sea shanty is, the chanter or shantyman sings out a line and then his fellow Buccaneers would sing out a chorus in rhythm.

Doing some research on it, I found a well built pirate website at http://www.BrethernCoast.com that has lot’s of buccaneer history and also a page of 33 sea shanty songs including text and audio tracks. The home page is even titled the Brotherhood of the Buccaneers. Maybe there’s a chorus or two to sing amongst these? Got some listening to do…

Until then, “Let’s Go Bucs”…..”Blow the ‘Hawks Down” works for me!

  54. BucGator Says:

    Arrrr, arrrr, arrrrr

  55. Newbucsfan2 Says:

I predict that some will do the chant and others are going to sit on their hands. That will just make the whole thing go flat which will make it pitiful. Too bad. You fans suck. Don’t say you don’t..”den of depression” remember?

  56. Bob in valrico Says:

bring back the pewter and red, that seems more in line with the pirate theme than those sucky Uni’s they wear now.

  57. Newbucsfan2 Says:

Uniforms aren’t the problem. No crowd participation is!

  58. cometowin2 Says:

Heard this on the podcast. Wish I could be there to do the war chant. Go Bucs!

  59. Mike Evans GOAT Says:

Yes, please get rid of these horrid uniforms. But keep the helmet, I lIke the new helmet

  60. D-Rome Says:

I agree with BKNYfootballhead. Some of you act like a 12 year old who hasn’t figured out the crowd doesn’t help a team win or cause a team to lose.

  61. Newbucsfan2 Says:

    D Rome

    Who says?

  62. Greg Says:

I think it safe to say that the Bucs fans will step up when given a reason to….suck it Miko
