Grimes Still Playing Well

November 14th, 2016
Still a stud.

Still a stud.

Bucs cornerback Brent Grimes may damned near be an old man when it comes to NFL cornerbacks, but he’s still getting the job done.

On the Bears’ second drive yesterday, Grimes got his second pick of the season. It was his 28th pick of his career.

And since the start of the 2013 season, Grimes has grabbed 15 interceptions. Only two other players, and one other cornerback, have more picks during that same period. Also entering yesterday’s game, Grimes was in a three-way tie for most passes defended (12) this season.

Best signing by Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht in the offseason? Probably, yeah, Joe thinks so.
