Are The Bucs Motivated By Revenge?

November 9th, 2016

bears beat bucs

The Bucs are one of the great soap opera teams in the NFL. Just when you think you almost have them figured out, there’s a new twist on losing — and sometimes winning.

Tampa Bay faces the Bears on Sunday, a bad team that has throttled the Bucs the past two seasons.

Two years ago, Josh McCown headed to Soldier Field (or whatever they call it now) and dropped back to pass 48 times. That was stunning, considering the Bucs led 10-0 at halftime. But it was far more shocking after the game when McCown said he couldn’t manipulate his balls properly because they weren’t soggy enough. Joe is not making this up.

The Bucs lost that game 21-13 during intermittent light rain.

Last year, Tampa Bay was 6-8 when they faced the Bears at home last season. Doug Martin’s two fumbles led to Bears scores. Jay Cutler was 20-for-27 with a touchdown, and Chicago walked out of Tampa with a 27-21 victory and Lovie Smith’s blood on their hands.

There’s a load of current Bucs who played in those games against those bad Bears teams.

Joe wants to see some fire from the Bucs, some revenge in their eyes. If the Bucs can’t beat Cutler and the Bears at home, then who can they beat?

Joe’s going to enter a deep depression if the Bucs don’t coming out hitting and passionate —  and sustain it — in this game.

I know this….the way the played vs the Vikings, we don’t have a chance…great pass rush, cutler on point, run game live and well…combine that with a bye week and we’re in trouble….john fox is a better coach than dirk and has a better defensive mind than smitty…im sure he has his team prepared and focused on getting a win…it aint looking good….we get down early, this team may quit on dirk, if they haven’t already….GO BUCS!!!

Most of the defense led by the smiling ice cream man do not care enough to reach the level of revenge…

    Hey BigHog

It’s been bad year for you and I could not be happier. First, dirt-bag Lovie shipped to the corn fields and now Trump wins…. You are having a bad year. It’s so awesome

I hope they are motivated by something! I’m driving almost 24 hours to see this game. I really thought at the start of the year this would be a more important game. Seems like a waste now.

Yeah sure. “Revenge.” That’s what fires them up. Not the paycheck or the sense of accomplishment…. revenge. This is why they haven’t won a home game in almost a year.

We are running out of theories for their suckitude, Joe.
