Become Familiar With Jordan Howard

November 11th, 2016

Will attack linebackers.

The Bears found themselves a rookie running back. And Bucs fans will get to know him well Sunday.

That’s the word from Bucky Brooks of NFL.com. In this cool breakdown of the Bears-Bucs game, Brooks thinks the Bucs linebackers, while talented, can be exposed by a bruising running game which Bears coach John Fox enjoys.

[Fox] “has a physical running back that is adept at getting to the second level,” Brooks said of Howard.

Brooks believes the way Howard exposed the mighty defense of the Vikings is a dead giveaway of how the Bears plan to attack the Bucs.

Howard has three 100-yard rushing games this season, including 153 versus Minnesota. He’s averaging a whopping 5.1 yards per carry. Not bad for a fifth-round draft pick.

add in a bye week to prepare for us, and we could be witnessing yet another blowout under dirk and smitty….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!…GO BUCS!!!

  2. Lord Cornelius Says:

    “DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!”

    lmao you’re hilarious dude.

You couldn’t even take the time to find a Head Coach who was an actual offensive of defensive coordinator with years of success in the NFL that failed in their first year? Because that would be closer to apples to apples. You’re comparing a pretty qualified coordinator turned first time HC to a guy that was just thrown in as a stopgap because the front office couldn’t get along with their actually successful head coach.

There’s so many differences that it’s just a terrible comparison. Your entire argument hinges on this idea that the players quit on both Dirk and Tomsula and ignores a million other facts and differences (and that’s assuming the players even quit on dirk which is debatable and doesn’t seem to be any real media person’s take – you know the people who are actually in the locker room all the time).

I don’t know why I even waste my time responding to your crap. Oh and you even said Dirk was basically a failure because he didn’t win a Super Bowl. I guess we can only hire super bowl winners because they are the only ones who will ever win a super bowl again. lmfao. just weird takes man.

Here’s something that may be worth noting

Tomsula’s 49ers average 13.6 points per game through the first 8 games of that season.

Dirk Koetter’s Bucs average 22.5 points per game through the first 8 games of the season.

It’s not even close. Dumb comparison period.

I don’t care if i come off condescending. I just hate seeing negative people with the same baseless joke opinions in every single article

  3. Lord Cornelius Says:

Dirk Koetter may be a failure. He may end up a bad hire. But a dumb argument or inaccurate comment is dumb & inaccurate regardless

  4. LakeLandBuc Says:

My concern is not the Bears offense, but how well will our offense do against the NFL 11th ranked defense. And they are balanced, it will be interesting.

  5. 813bucboi Says:

@lord…..the truth hurts huh…..as I mentioned before the comparison is very simple….both were in house hires, both were/are in over their head, both made dumb coaching 101 mistakes(dirk has admitted f’ing up the clock, f’ing up penalties), both have quit on the their team and both have had their team quit on them….that is were the comparison lies…..

yesterday HALL OF FAMER DERRICK BROOKS, stated that the team is not giving full effort….that’s a nice why of saying the team has quit on the hc….8 games into the season and players have quit….so there’s the media person that actually knows football and played the game…..

dirk averaged more points than jim(don’t know why you brought this up), but dirk has a lot more talent than what jim had…so you comparing this team to last years 49ers team doesn’t add up…..im comparing coaches dumba$$!!!!

you compare things that you want to compare….the real reason why your so pissed is because you and @realist were so sure that dirk would,” be a upgrade over coach my scheme”, but the fact is it hasn’t….in some areas it has gotten worse….what im doing is no different than what @realist was doing last year regarding lovie with his “coach my scheme & incompetent” phrases…as I said last year….you 2 wanted dirk and now you have him….be careful what you wish for because you just might get it….the grass aint always greener on the other side….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA…..GO BUCS!!!!

  6. 813bucboi Says:

and dirk may have trouble matching jim’s 5-11 record…..after winning 6games last year under lovie, 3-13 wont look good….but some people will say, “I see the improvement”…..LOL….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  7. 813bucboi Says:

and before some of you make yourself sound stupid by saying, “at least he has a better record than lovie did in his first year”….let me remind you, lovie had the worst oline in the league, no qb and no oc, no defense….now if dirk goes 3-13(very real possibility) with a solid oline, franchise qb, an oc, and talent along the defense, where is that improvement?….how can you have confidence that things will get better when dirk has made coaching 101 mistakes seems like every game now…and now with the team quitting on him, that just shows how incompetent he is as a hc….he’s a decent oc, but hc …not so much….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA….GO BUCS!!!!

  8. The Buc Realist Says:

    813bucboi = scorned lovie fan!!!!!!!!

  9. Mike Johnson Says:

Sit back and watch a nobody..Jordan Howard make his debut and rack up a couple hundred yrds against that improved Buc Defense. Happens every GD time. And watch, The Trick’ Buc Realist.. lament how good WE..are gonna be!

  10. Lord Cornelius Says:

“@lord…..the truth hurts huh…..as I mentioned before the comparison is very simple….both were in house hires, both were/are in over their head, both made dumb coaching 101 mistakes(dirk has admitted f’ing up the clock, f’ing up penalties), both have quit on the their team and both have had their team quit on them….that is were the comparison lies…..”

    lol.

The “truth” is your subjective BS opinion which you substantiate with bs subjective conjecture. THe only “fact” or “truth” in your comparison is that both were house hires. After that it’s just a bunch of subjective crap coming out of your a55.

The only game I thought we lacked “effort” in a visible way was Atlanta. Brooks was commenting on that game moreso than the entire season like you are. A smart person would maybe look at the short week coming off 1.5 games of snaps and think that had some effect. A dumb short sided as4hole with an agenda would ignore it and say it didn’t matter.

“but dirk has a lot more talent than what jim had”

LMFAO HAHA!! The 2013 49ers were f*cking 12-4. Tomsula arguably had much more talent; especially on defense. Kaepernick had better seasons than Winston and they had more weapons (Boldin, Crabtree, Davis, Gore, Hyde, etc compared to Evans and a bunch of no names).

The fact that Dirk almost averaged 2X as many points scored on average with far less talent across the board in weapons means nothing to you? Then you’re just being an ignorant a55hole on purpose.

Go bring up my posts where I thought Koetter would be some god-coach or something. I thought we’d improve but didn’t say anything that insane. I expected we’d be a 8-8 to 9-7 type team and we’d be about 4-4ish right now with an improving defense. I’ve said this before; we have improved defensively in many important categories but we have given up too many big plays. If we can fix the big plays & missed assignments we’d look pretty competent. The completion % is like 10% down from last year. We’re top 7 in the league in 3rd down conversion stops vs being bottom 6 last year. We’ve cut a ton of the penalties down. That actually means something but you don’t give a sh1t because you’re stuck on your narrative while hanging from Lovie’s nuts.

Trust me; if we finish 3-13 I’ll be first to say that’s completely unacceptable. You want to bet on that record? No you don’t. Unless you’re really that stupid.

And just for the hell of it because this is just so dang easy –
“let me remind you, lovie had the worst oline in the league, no qb and no oc, no defense”

Lovie gutted the oline himself. He said after he was hired that was what he was going to do. He picked the QB himself. He named him the starter without any competition. He hired the old OC that had heart problems. And he got rid of Revis to replace him with guys that fit his scheme. The talent difference is a wash because he had pieces to work with when he got here and got rid of them.

  11. Lord Cornelius Says:

” nobody..Jordan Howard make his debut and rack up a couple hundred yrds against that improved Buc Defense.”

Nobody Jordan Howard has over 100 yards in 3 of his last 5 games. But stay uneducated keep an unbalanced perspective like most here do.

  12. 813bucboi Says:

@lord….”A smart person would maybe look at the short week coming off 1.5 games of snaps and think that had some effect. A dumb short sided as4hole with an agenda would ignore it and say it didn’t matter”…I guess HALL OF FAMER DERRICK BROOKS is stupid too huh….he mentioned being gassed was not the case…and also said NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!!

” (Boldin, Crabtree, Davis, Gore, Hyde, etc compared to Evans and a bunch of no names).”….you make my point exactly….just like the dirk, his team regressed under his leadership…..

“we have improved defensively in many important categories but we have given up too many big plays. If we can fix the big plays & missed assignments we’d look pretty competent. The completion % is like 10% down from last year. We’re top 7 in the league in 3rd down conversion stops vs being bottom 6 last year. We’ve cut a ton of the penalties down. That actually means something but you don’t give a sh1t because you’re stuck on your narrative while hanging from Lovie’s nuts.”……we’ve experienced 3 blowouts and a qb pass for 500yards….yeah I see the improvement….lol…..

“You want to bet on that record”….im a lot smarter than you think…..I know BS when I see it and dirk is BS….LETS BET!!!!

    DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  13. 813bucboi Says:

@realist…..and whats dirk record?……by the end of the year, you’ll be scorned and exposed…..DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  14. Lord Cornelius Says:

    “LETS BET!!!!”

Ok. If the Bucs finish 3-13 I will declare you a much smarter football fan than myself and never say anything negative to your screen name for the rest of our internet lives. If we win 1 more game this season you shut the f*ck up the rest of the year. Deal?

  15. Lord Cornelius Says:

Oh and 813 – i recommend you read Pewter Report’s latest fab 5 about Light & Koetter. Kobe freakshow should read it as well to get a realistic understanding of the average succes rates of draft picks and free agents.

“I’ve also asked several Bucs off the record if they still believe in Koetter and they do. Half a season in, and this team believes in Koetter more than it ever did in the two years of either Schiano or Smith. There’s something to be said for that”

But hey what does Scott Reynolds know? 813 has a way better pulse on what’s going on in the locker room. lmfao

  16. Lord Cornelius Says:

More fun quotes from that article. This isn’t to say Light & Koetter are perfect or will be awesome by any means. It’s just asking for a little patience (even if we all have none left after the last decade of sh1t)

“But Schiano and Smith never won over the entire locker room during their stay in Tampa Bay. Koetter has, and he should be afforded the chance to get the Bucs turned around on his watch as long as the team remains in his corner. Continuing his tell-it-like-it-is policy with players and keeping the Bucs offense humming will only help his cause.”

“In just three years Licht has already outperformed his predecessors in the talent acquisition department, and he found a franchise quarterback in Winston that Koetter is successfully developing. The teams that have the most success in the NFL are the ones that keep the great quarterbacks in the same system for continuity’s sake.”

Is Light perfect? Hell no. But is he drafting MUCH better than Dominic & Allen.
Is Koetter pefect? Hell no. But he’s produced better results in his area of expertise (offense) than any of the last 3 coaches have done.

813 probably would think Raheem Morris is a better coach with a 10-6 fluke season on his resume; vs an offensive coordinator who was successful for multiple years across multiple teams using different offenses. But none of that means anything if you don’t win the super bowl right lol

  17. 813bucboi Says:

@lord….this is why I laugh at you and @realist…..

you want to call r.morris 10-6 season a fluke but turn right around and say how tough this schedule is….BS…you cant have it both ways….what do you want…a tough schedule or an easy schedule?…..

“I’ve also asked several Bucs off the record if they still believe in Koetter and they do. Half a season in, and this team believes in Koetter more than it ever did in the two years of either Schiano or Smith. There’s something to be said for that”

what else do you expect them to say…..the truth….they know scott would’ve went and wrote a story about it, causing a distraction….DUH!….myself and players are smarter than that…..we aint taking the bait….glad to see scott has you hooked…but what else is new…you like BS….

“But none of that means anything if you don’t win the super bowl right lol”….you have to be the dumbest person on JBF…..have you asked yourself why smitty and dirk got canned?….do you think fan, owners and players just want to win 8,9 games a year(as a bucs fan i’ll take that now, but not for long)?….no they want to win a superbowl….atl was winning games with smitty but they never won anything big….you and @realist are part of the losing culture….you 2 will except 7,8 wins a year…..DIRK=JIM TOMSULA….GO BUCS!!!

  18. Kobe Faker Says:

    Hey corn

Who cares about past gms, oc s?

You think teams we are playing this year does?

    You think the fanbase does?

Compare our present hc/gm to the other gm/hc in the league

They are laughing at the 2nd round kicker who shouldnt be in the nfl. Licht is a joke in the nfl circles.

40 games to jameis free agency

Kobe “and the show must go on ” faker

  19. The Buc Realist Says:

LOL, congrats to 813bucboi who just made the radio!!!! They read your comments on air and gave you the moron of the year award!!!!! LOL I was laughing so hard!!!!! They asked for you to listen to the Brooks interview several times because you were so far off!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. 813bucboi Says:

that 2010 season was not as weak as you and @realist make it out to be….

that season we played 5 teams that went to the playoffs(saints, seahawks, falcons, steelers and ravens)…..we had 2 wins(seahawks & saints)

you 2 want to say this schedule is tough because we’re playing 5 playoff teams(arz, car, Denver, kc, seattle) from last year….and we have 2 wins(atl, who blow us out on national tv and Carolina who we beat without cam)….

now 2 teams that might not make it this year are arz&car, so we can swap them with oak and dallas who are currently leading their division…..still 5 teams…..

so how was that 2010 season so weak compared to this years schedule?….cant wait to hear yet another excuse….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  21. 813bucboi Says:

@realist….oh really….I heard no such thing and I listen every damn day….same ole BS….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA….GO BUCS!!!!

  22. The Buc Realist Says:

OMG!!!! It was a little before 5:00 and I jumped in my car!!! And just heard 813bucboi ripped to pieces!!!! even his moronic “jim tomsula” comments were made fun of!!!!!!!

I hope it is somehow on the podcast so I can hear it again!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

  23. 813bucboi Says:

@realist…..LMAO…..right….I believe you…just like I believe dirk is a good coach….I can really see the improvement….LOLOLOL….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA….GO BUCS!!!!

  24. Warrenfb12 Says:

    Bucs are in trouble sunday

  25. The Buc Realist Says:

813bucboi buffoonery went legendary on 620!!!!! LMAFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Lord Cornelius Says:

“Compare our present hc/gm to the other gm/hc in the league”

I do man. You’re the one with terrible perspective on what is a reasonable expectation.

Go look up the average rate of success for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc round picks.
Go look up the average rate of success for FA signings.

Compare to Light and get back to me. I’m not just shooting sh1t out of my a55. I’m trying to have an informed objective opinion

  27. Lord Cornelius Says:

“you want to call r.morris 10-6 season a fluke but turn right around and say how tough this schedule is…”

Dude your own logic is upside down. That actually works perfectly with both arguments … 10-6 = incredibly easy schedule in a down division vs one of our toughest schedules in years in a division that is much better than they were when we went 10-6. Think harder.

“what else do you expect them to say…”

This is a media person’s take who has seen every regime and calls it like he sees it. He isn’t just BS’ing bucs fans to make them happy and never really has that I’ve observed. He called for the firings of Schiano and called for the firing of Lovie before it happened. He’s just giving his straight up opinion. He has been closer to the team over the last decade than you ever have been.

“myself and players are smarter than that”

lmao. This is precisely when you know you have nothing but bullsh1t for arguments.

“….do you think fan, owners and players just want to win 8,9 games a year”

Lol they never won 8 games when Mike Smith was there. They won 11, 9, 13, 10, & 13 games when they were rolling. He averaged a record of an 11-5 before they regressed and lost the core of their team. That 5 year run is about as good as any run this franchise has ever had. Do you know how f&cking happy the city of Tampa would be with a 5 year run like that after not making the playoffs for over 10 years?

let’s see… 11-5 record for 5 years or sh1t team for 5 years. I guess to you it’s all the same because of no super bowl. Most normal humans would see a difference.

And I’m the dumbest person on JBF? Cool man.

  28. Lord Cornelius Says:

“I hope it is somehow on the podcast so I can hear it again!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!”

lol if that’s true and you find it please link

  29. The Buc Realist Says:

    @lord Cornelius

I went for a quick errand to Publix, And when I jumped back in my car, They were talking about the Derrick Brooks interview and one of the Joes that posted it!!! Then complain of how uninformed and far off base that some of the commentors were!! and then read 813bucboi’s comment and blew him up!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

Pleasssseeeee have a podcast of it !!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

  30. Lord Cornelius Says:

    @Realist

It’s sad but that gives me satisfaction lol. I duno why I waste my time in here so much.. it’s not healthy. I shouldn’t care but for some reason do. Gonna go slam beers and watch FSU in a few hours. Go bucs! Go noles!

  31. Mike JOHNSON Says:

Buc Realist is a pimps trick. He raves about coulda/woulda/shoulda.then says its the schedule. What a croc. But..he’s a croc also!

  32. richbucsfan Says:

Looks like another curb stomping for the Bucs tomorrow. I think the Bucs are the team that the NFL uses to introduce future stars, be they QBs, or RBs, or WRs. This lot is an embarrassing collection of talentless, loser mentality, excuse laden pansies. Where are the NFL players of the past who gave it all on a Sunday? Surely, not to be found on the Bucs. I refuse to wasate my time on this dumpster fire.
