Gerald McCoy In Full Body Preservation Mode

October 30th, 2016

Throwing himself a changeup tonight.

Gerald McCoy is moving past this kick-in-the-nuts Bucs loss in record time.

The Bucs defense was on the field for a whopping 83 plays this afternoon and go ahead and tack on a lot more, considering the Raiders were whistled for stunning 23 penalties. Twenty-three!

McCoy (1 tackle today) was visibly wiped out in the morgue-like Bucs postgame locker room.

There will be no nap time for McCoy. He was headed right from the stadium to One Buc Palace.

“Usually I would go home; I’m going straight to the facility and start recovering, get in the Cryo [deep freeze] tanks, do some treatment. I’ll probably get a massage tomorrow morning,” McCoy said.

The Bucs play again in four days against Atlanta, and it was absolutely the wrong time to have the defense play five quarters.

“As hungry as I am right now, I have to watch what I eat because it’s such a quick turnaround,” McCoy said, emphasizing the challenge.

Joe would feel badly for the worn out Bucs’ defense, but it’s their own fault. They allowed 626 yards today. That’s a beating of epic proportions.

Don’t care. Step up or shut up

  2. unbelievable Says:

Maybe they can get some treatment for their lack of rushing ability too?

  3. orlbucfan Says:

Maybe TPTB will keep a head coach for 3 years. Even the Browns do that!

  4. R.O. Says:

I was at the game.. our defense was horrible today. The Raiders gave us the game over and over and we didn’t want it. The def holding call on 4th down was the game though.

  5. JonBuc Says:

No one could even breath on Carr at the end. It’s a miracle the shatshow lasted as long as it did.

  6. Lamarcus Says:

    Time to cut mccoy

  7. Ray Rice Says:

Got paid too much money for nothing. Aunt Geraldine is a half assed player at best. Didn’t make a difference at all. This is the game he needed to step up. Because he’s a “C” right. He needs to show that $$hit. But like always when it matters most he disappears. Houdini Geraldini.

  8. Pruritus Ani Says:

Overrated.. My abuela could have thrown for 3 touchdowns today.. McCoy doesn’t deserve happy endings after losses.

  9. BucsFan90 Says:

This has got to be an inside joke. Did McCoy even play today?

  10. BucTrooper Says:

Trade McCoy for a receiver. We have no PASS RUSH with McCoy, I’m sure we can do the same without him. I’m sick of his Houdini act.

    I wanted Suh.

  11. MadMax Says:

Need to trade him AND Winston for some picks and players….we need DB’s and WR’s, and pass rush. Sign Gholston, he’s as good as GMC or better (at least he plays).

1st pick QB and 2nd DT or O line if the above is met.

  12. Ndog Says:

One tackle, really one tackle from our superstar!

  13. Dislocatedbucsfan Says:

Life’s tough to get paid 1 mil to play a game and only record a single tackle.

  14. Ed Says:

Sure is a slap in the face to Tampa fans watching Adrian Claybourne Chase and sack Aaron Rogers now. Michael Bennett has been a great pass rusher since leaving the Bucs. Says something how these players turn into monsters after leaving here.

  15. Ndog Says:

He must have started the self Preservation before the game.

3-5 after Thursday night embarrassment in their pajamas to the Falcons. Maybe we finally win a home game when we face the Bears….. 3-13 here we come. See everyone next draft when we trade 3 picks to move up and grab a long snapper in the second round.

  18. tmaxcon Says:

stop it McCoy is a beast…. He was taking on 7 to 8 blockers every play… we are so lucky to have him. he hosts movie night god damint…. movie nigh makes up for all the disappearing acts…. GMC the softest most overrated buc in history.

  19. Maze Says:

McCoy needs to be traded asap before the rest of the league catches up to his over-hyped injury-prone ass

  20. MadMax Says:

There you are tmax….was wondering 🙂

Im really feeling you on the gmac hate now. Im sick of it. We need to move on from him and Winston. BUT, THOSE TWO WILL NEVER be a beast for another team. So its nothing like what we’ve seen other players do when they leave here.

Just cut the cord, move on, try again. #itaintworking

  21. Tampa Tony Says:

Dude is the thief of the century!!! So much money for so little productivity

Since he’s been a captain our d has had no balls

  22. dooshlarue Says:

Man, Hawaiian hasn’t chimed in to defend his hero? Somebody better go check on him.

  23. grafikdetail Says:

40 minutes TOP by the raiders 18 TOP for the Bucs… it was 10-0 halftime and the bucs d kept the raiders in check… they got tired in the 2nd half and the offense did absolutely zero!!! bunch of 3 and outs! or one 1st down then out

  24. sho nuff Says:

that’s the least you could do ‘sniffles McCoy…are we supposed to give you a pass for basically doing nothing…I know I know…”he’s a disruptor”…says the sycophant who hates his audience on the afternoon sports talk…
scoreboard yo…ever since you have been here our defense has sucked..

  25. dee Says:

He was pushed off the ball the whole game sad.

  26. Joehelldeloxley Says:

I agree the defense didn’t play well, but hell, they are only 50 % of the team !!!

Can we discuss about the offense or are they only responsible for the win ?

The Raiders started in Overtime, completly failed, due to penalty and our offense, wasn’t even able to reach a field goal position !

I know that with our dreadful kicker it wasn’t a chance of success but still ! On this game, our offense has been as terrible as the defense !
