Kwon talks to Joe

This isn’t just another game for Kwon Alexander on Sunday.

Alexander grew up a short drive from Atlanta, and the Georgia Dome was the site of one the most emotional moments of his young life.

Last year, Alexander’s brother was murdered before the Bucs played there. Kwon not only faced the Falcons, but he was the star of the game. And America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, made an emotional, Kwon-focused pregame speech, and reports were rampant of Kwon crying during the game.

Who could forget Kwon’s rundown and strip of Julio Jones (shown above)? It was stunning.

Kwon quickly admits the Georgia Dome is hallowed ground.

“It’s just like home, man. It’s the closest I ever get to play home,” Kwon said. “I always give a lot of energy, but it’s just something about the spot that’s close to home. You get a little more energy to it. It’s just fun to play there, man. I can’t wait to get out there.”

Kwon was banned from NFL games for the final four contests of last season, allegedly for drinking an energy drink containing a banned substance.

After Joe’s chat with Kwon yesterday, it’s safe to say he won’t need any drinks to get him fired up out of his mind.

    Encore!

He’ll need to show up big… Freeman running I my biggest concern going into this game. Kwon and LVD will have to be sharp when it comes to tackling and filling the gaps.

That picture mmaann, classic. I had never seen a football player manhandle Julio before that game. After that I was like “Nightmare” the truth.

Big poppa I think Kwon and LVD are the perfect answers to Freeman. Speedy cats that match his athleticism.

IMO Freeman doesn’t really worry me running the ball as could be seen in the last part of the 15 he dipped as more film came out on him. its all going to come down to stopping Matt Ryan and Julio. And with the upgrade with the pass rush and in the secondary I think we stand a good shot at coming away with a big win!!!! Go Bucs!!!!!

That game, that I have watched endless times on YouTube solidified me as a huge fan of Kwon, that Logan Mankin’s speech in the locker room after the game, still leaves me drowning in tears..

It was a powerful showing of unity with the players.

Best Buc’s game I have seen since I knew how much had been going on with not only Kwon, but with our great leader making sure the win was there in Broderick’s honour..except maybe the Super Bowl game..lol..

    Love my Bucs!

Easily one of the best games I’ve ever seen. The passion and talent the Bucs showed was incredible. Really excited to see Jameis and crew in year two of Koetters offense. Plus Mike’s Smith’s defense. Go Bucs!

  8. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

He was a beast that game. What a great pickup for us.

  9. SOEbuc Says:

LifeOfABuc yeah Mankins giving him the game ball last year was really beautiful. Hope he can bring the same play back to the ATL on Sunday

Maybe that’s a cause for colin kaepernick and the like to take up. Young brothers killing other young brothers. or the real cause. the out of wedlock child rate in their community. the cowards on the radio (rick and “mumbles” jones) won’t broach the subject. facts not feelings matter.

the out of wedlock child rate in their community.

Brotha I’m sure your aware – that situation stems from centuries of mental conditioning.

I don’t have time to go over it all right now.
But when you have time -please read the following quick summary.

    How Slavery Affected
    African American Families

  12. Bucs Nihilist Says:

Incorrect sir. The black family was one of the strongest before LBJ in the 60’s despite real racism and Jim Crow laws (Democrat laws by the way). out of wedlock rates were in the teens then. Don’t by the lies taught to you. But even if it wasn’t true, it is still the main reason for the problems in every community. it affects ALL RACES the same. Born out of wedlock, you’re more likely to be poor, on fed. assist. more likley to cause or be a victim of crime etc…. its a good cause to get behind. end out of wedlock child birth. simple as that.

Reading about Kwon just heightens this game buildup. Go Bucs!

  17. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Windycity what are you talking about??? What nonsense is that? Is that your impression of Dennis Miller? Or is kirby a blackhole? Oh I’m a lil slow on the uptake? Well you’re wrong about JBF. It’s a great break from the boring status quo of the mass media Buc sites where the moderator and owner/operator is more of a fan than we are. Plus he gets inside info we can only dream of. Go play on pooterreport youre in time out youngman!
