Gurley Expects “12 People”
September 25th, 2016How disinterested are opposing defenses when it comes to the rotten Rams’ passing game? Pretty much ignoring it.
Running back Todd Gurley, the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year last year, has gotten off to a rough start. He has but 98 yards on 36 rushes for a measly 2.7 yards a carry.
Defenses are loading the box — and ignoring the greatness that is Case Keenum — so Gurley is spooked, writes Alden Gonzalez of BSPN.
“It’s crazy,” the Rams’ star running back said after Friday’s practice. “I’m like, ‘Man, that’s 12 people on the field!'”
Uh, Todd, you are probably freaking out. Teams can only have 11 players on defense. But Joe understands. Gurley also told Gonzalez he expects the Bucs to pack the box, just like San Francisco and Seattle did to him.
Joe hopes the Bucs do the same. Joe’s going to guess that Kwon Alexander, no stranger to Gurley from their SEC days, will take care of business.

Gurley’s first 4 or 5 starts were all world. But other than that he’s been rather pedestrian. The focus of this game should be on Aaron Donald put two bodies on him and live with the results.

Bucs 24
Rams 9

Remember that Cleveland preseason game when Mike Smith said he wanted to see if our corners could play man coverage? I expect to see our corners in a lot of man with littler to no safety help on 1st and 2nd downs. Time for the corners to earn their paychecks.

No-where spence better not see the field
Rams will run right at the lightweight and gurley will gain 150 yards
Worst draft in the history of tampa franchise…and thats saying something

Kobe
I agree Spence should only be out on obvious passing downs, Howard Jones as well. I would consider playing Akheem Spence at NT and Mcdonald at end on running downs.
September 25th, 2016 at 10:21 am
Kobe Faker,
You my friend are an idiot. While Spence certainly needs to work on run defense both him and VH3 will be big time players in this league. Go sit in the corner with the dunce cap on.
September 25th, 2016 at 10:24 am
Spence is a pass rushing specialist. You cant expect him to be great against the run at this point in his career. He’ll get stronger. Would never of seen the field on 1st down until Ayres got hurt.

If Keenum carves us up again I think my head might explode. We need to keep them out of the end zone early and not give them any momentum.

If the Bucs do not bounce back with some attitude and a convincing victory today then I am afraid of just another big dose of the same old crap, different year. Go Bucs, break the yearly pattern.

The Bucs looked like a decent team up against Atlanta, then they shifted into neutral. Need to kick that effort into a higher gear and win this home game. Go Bucs!

Keys to a Bucs’ Victory:
1.) Stop Gurley
– 8/9 in the box, use the big bodies, force Case to beat you.
– Grimes, Verner and Vernon have to stay disciplined against the PA pass.
2.) The offense has the establish long drives and score TDs.
– The OLine has to give Sims and Quizz space.
– Winston has to be on point and use short passes.
– Gotta keep the chains and the clock moving.
– Get a lead to force LA to abandon the run.
Simple plan to beat the LA, but much harder to execute. If the Bucs are in a close game the Rams have a huge advantage.
Go Bucs!!! Let’s go!!!!

Speaking for Pablo
“The Ghost of Pablo will be Bucs player # doce. You won’t be able to see Pablo’s Ghost (neither will refs)…..but you will see the results. Pablo intends to use Pablo’s elongated arc to trip the Gurley Man. Pablo is still upset that Gurley beat out Haboo for OROY.”

YOU LIKE DAT! I don’t want to hear it again !
September 25th, 2016 at 12:14 pm
I think Joe Hawley or Evan Smith can take on Donald mano a mano single handedly.
September 25th, 2016 at 12:21 pm
I keep hearing that the Rams can’t match up to our WRs. I hope this is true cause I’m starting ME today in my money league.
Here is my money league line up: Aaron Rodgers, David Johnson, Melvin Gordon, Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin, And Allen Robinson at Flex. Game won.

That’s a pic of Tre Mason! C’mon Joe! lol but Gurley just needs a lil cease & that slow start can look like a fast start quickly!
The way the Bucs win is get up by two scores on this D & force Gurley out the game by making the Rams throw

STERLING SHEPARD
Sterling should have been a Buc this year and Jaboo and Sterling would have been 1 of the greatest qb/wr tandems in the history of the NFL
Shepard would have been the greatest reciever in the history of the tampa bay bucs
Sterling Shepard will win the ROTY and will be in the HOF when his career ends
Sterling next year will be equal to ODB and antoinio Brown…he is that great
Sheling would have aloowed us to be in the playoffs this year and would have allowed with Jameis a superbowl appearance next
Jason Gump really really really messed up
“I wanted to be drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs and play in front of poster Kobe Faker” Sterling Shepard
September 25th, 2016 at 12:38 pm
“I wanted to be drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs and play in front of poster Kobe Faker”….said NO ONE EVER!

@come2win
Kobe is posting idiotic stuff on purpose. He’s a troll.
In internet parlance that’s not a guy who lives under the Gandy bridge…although I wouldn’t be surprised if Kobe lived under a bridge somewhere. Just funnin’ ya troll.
No internet trolls post outrageous stuff “trolling” for attention.
This is like one of us posting on a Charlotte Panther’s blog saying outrageous stuff just to get attention and rile up Stinkin’ Panthers fans.
I’m not sure why but some folks get their jollies that way.

This is it Bucs! The chance to go above .500 in the season opening month of September. No excuses, give it all you got. Buc fans demand it.
