Bucs, Team Glazer Must Stand Firm On Miko

Thankfully, the Buccaneers organization is adhering to the company plan hatched in March when the team signed four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes.

The plan was simple. Ignore Miko Grimes, Brent’s wife, who is well known for sharing uncensored opinions on social media — like millions of other Americans do.

In recent years, Grimes’ commentary outraged media, Dolphins management and some fans when Brent played for Miami. Yesterday, she outraged media and some fans again when she Tweeted a phrase many consider to reflect hate for Jewish people and/or a prejudice against Jewish people.

While blasting the Dolphins, Miko wrote about Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and Vice President Mike Tannenbaum: “Gotta respect ross for keeping his jew buddies employed but did he not see how tannenbaum put the jets in the dumpster w/that sanchez deal?”

That set off a firestorm. NFL insider Jay Glazer of FOX Sports sent his 1.02 million Twitter followers (and Miko) this message: “At this point I’m asking … please SHUT THE F^CK UP! Sincerely, the Jew buddy of ur husbands who first got him trained in MMA.”

Other national voices called out Miko, and Joe’s even seen media suggest Tampa Bay could decide to cut Brent Grimes, despite owing him millions of dollars and counting on him to be a No. 1 cornerback this year.

Influential Mike Florio, of ProFootballTalk.com, was typing up all kinds of analysis, blasting Miko’s words and saying Team Glazer has a decision to make.

The only question that remains relevant from a football standpoint is whether and to what extent the NFL team owned by a Jewish family will say or do something about it, or simply brush it off as irrelevant to their employment of Brent Grimes — and accept it as a natural byproduct of hiring someone whose wife has said and done plenty of outlandish things in the public eye.

Maybe that’s ultimately why the Buccaneers have no comment. Maybe they know that the only fair comment they could have at this point would be, “Well, we sort of knew something like this was going to happen, didn’t we?”

Reality Check

Joe does not condone Miko’s “jew buddies” reference. It’s something Joe never would say or write. It’s phrasing that smells like racist commentary. Certainly, Miko could have expressed the same thoughts without being considered offensive. Again, Joe is 100 percent against that kind of talk.

However, Miko does not work for the Bucs and, ultimately, she was simply a player’s wife expressing herself. Joe has followed Miko’s Twitter feed for months and listened to her podcasts. Anyone paying attention knows Miko really didn’t type anything unique yesterday. A solid percentage of what she Tweets or says likely offends many people for various reasons, including their politics, ethnicity, etc.

When Tampa Bay signed Brent Grimes, Bucs management and Team Glazer knew all about Miko and silently took an organizational position: a player’s wife’s public commentary would not stand in the way of putting a great cornerback on the roster. It was a wise move, and Joe is glad the Bucs didn’t back off that yesterday by acknowledging Miko’s actions. They simply can’t do that publicly without looking extraordinarily foolish.

History Of Tolerance

Once upon a time, the Buccaneers asked fans to cheer for tight end Jerramy Stevens, an absolute turd of a dude who had a horrible history. The Seattle Times’ fact-filled exposé is one of the most riveting pieces Joe has ever read — and the most disgusting.

Joe couldn’t believe the Bucs signed such a sleaze, but the organization decided to hire Stevens and never wavered amidst the backlash. He even got a second contract — before he was released after getting busted for selling drugs out of his trunk.

Joe is not comparing Miko and Stevens. The point is Team Glazer stood firm after hiring a true bad guy to help the team on the field. They also had no problem keeping Aqib Talib on the roster after he brutally attacked an innocent cab driver who was cruising down the interstate at top speed.

In 2009, former WDAE-AM 620 morning host Dan Sileo linked Team Glazer to notorious thief and despicable felon Bernie Madoff, who defrauded thousands worldwide, robbing billions of dollars from hardworking innocents, many losing their life’s savings. Working for the Buccaneers Radio Network flagship station, Sileo likely could have been terminated with a mere wave of the hand by Team Glazer. Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer fired off a rare and pointed rebuke at Sileo’s claim, but Sileo was merely suspended briefly by station management.

Miko is not a member of the Bucs. She isn’t bashing the team (in fact, she’s done nothing but praise the Bucs). She’s a player’s wife who likes to Tweet whatever she wants. If this proves to be too much for the Bucs, then they got super soft in a small handful of years.

Miko Blames The Media

Joe was in touch with Miko yesterday, but only to find out why she thinks her commentary should be disregarded by the Buccaneers, and if she thinks every comment from a player’s family member should be ignored.

Absolutely Miko thinks the Bucs shouldn’t care at all what she has to say, and Miko believes players’ families should be as irrelevant as any other fan.

Joe will let Miko expound:

“The media is the problem. They make things stories so they get clicks,” Miko told JoeBucsFan.com. “They are the one’s that want the fame. They wanna be famous for writing the story that got the most clicks even if it’s not really a story at all. They tell you to be offended in the title usually. It’s brainwashing at its best! I get harassed for saying [Ryan] Tannehill is a bum but Johnny Manziel’s dad can say he’s a junkie and he hopes he gets arrested so he doesn’t end up dead, and he’s praised! What if those comments from his dad are the ones that sent Johnny over the edge?

“What I’m hearing is this: If you say something the media likes and it fits their narrative (Johnny [Football] is a junkie) then whoever agrees gets praised. But if you say things that don’t fit their narrative (Ryan Tannehill is a bum) you are called a cancer and your husband should lose his job. How come Johhny’s dad isn’t a cancer? What kinda father writes those things about his son? Why not help him or talk to him privately? Everyone uses social media how they see fit. Whether you are a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a realist, or a comedian. You have the freedom to say what you want. Now if you’re in a position where saying what you want can get you fired, and you can’t feed your family, then you have to be careful. I don’t have an employer. No one can fire me. I’m very wealthy, so I don’t have an issue feeding my family. But I’m also not a racist.

“If I were, I’d tell you that and there is nothing anyone can do about it because I’m not employed by anyone and I’m not poor. I’m a woman that speaks her mind on any subject. Does it offend people? Sometimes yes. Am I intending to offend a certain race, religion or sex? Hell no! People take things out of context all the time and think their feelings matter more than they do. I’m offended HOURLY on social media. But do I go around ganging up on people, no. Know why? Because I don’t care about other people’s opinions. Its theirs! They are entitled to it. Even if it offends me. I’ve learned as a black person in America to have thick skin. People that look like me have been called a [N-word] for centuries so pardon me for not crying every hour of my day when I get Tweeted that I’m nothing but a [N-word] that got lucky and married another [N-word] that’s really good at sports. I say all that to say this: No organization would ever give a sh*t what a family member said if the media didn’t bully them into giving a sh*t. Period. They don’t care! But they will fake like they care and fire people so that the fans don’t know they don’t care. That’s where sports are today. Your surgeons, police, politicians and religious leaders aren’t randomly street drug tested but athletes are. How fuc*ing crazy is that? Athletes aren’t performing life saving surgeries, but they better not puff a joint or do a line of coke or they’re fired! Politicians create laws but nobody ever wonders if they’re high on meth while running our lives. This country is full of sh*t and they treat athletes as if they are the law makers and life savers of the world. They’re Just Athletes! That’s It! Why is it such a big deal to people what their families say??? Who cares???”

Bigger Problems

Joe is interested in Miko’s comments as they relate to the Buccaneers. She’s dropped a lot of interesting Bucs stuff since Brent Grimes was signed, and Joe has shared. But Joe has no interest in holding Miko to any kind of standards. How are her non-Bucs-related opinions relevant? “Who cares?” as Miko says.

Last month, Joe wrote about Louis Murphy claiming that America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and other players deal with racism during Bucs road games. Now that’s a serious issue, one that Joe hopes is a priority for the Bucs, the NFL and influential media.

Joe thinks the Bucs should stick with their ignore-Miko policy and stay focused on real team issues.

  1. BucTrooper Says:

We can say all that now, but mark my words, Miko will turn her cannons on the Bucs after a 2-8 start. We are not special. The Bucs just have the honor of not having pissed her off yet.

  2. Bucsfanabroad Says:

If you can’t deal with her antics, don’t follow her. It’s social media for Christ sake! Licht simply needs to state: she’s not my employee, so I don’t have to worry about her… Now if she starts to impact the locker room, then we may need to let her go.

  3. Name Required Says:

So he married a sociopath. Awesome.

I’m going to take a wild stab at the idea Mr. Grimes and his wife may not be attending the season ticketholder meet-and-greets.

  4. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Buctrooper,
If we go 2-8, she’ll be one of many that will be turning her cannons on the Bucs. I don’t really get why she is any different than the fans on this website. I really don’t think she’s speaking for her husband in any way, so it doesn’t really matter what she says anymore than it doesn’t matter what you or I say.

  5. JA Says:

She is just another, in a long line, of ignorant rascists. Interesting statement coming from a black woman though. Guess that’s why her comment only heightens her ignorance for me as she is probably too dumb to understand the ramifications of her statement. In a serious world her statements are irrelevant because she is irrelevant. In a football world they have a small amount of interest because we all love football, especially our Bucs. Let’s hope we can continue to keep that interest small as the year goes on.

  6. OneBuc55 Says:

    Why are people so sensitive??

Imho I don’t consider that a racial slur…Don’t forget guys that here in America there is such a thing as freedom of speech…she can say what she wants who cares; there some truth in everything she says/writes…like my mom says, if the shoe fits, wear it…if it doesn’t, water off a ducks back…but I do have to agree that most media heads will write whatever it takes to get the clicks…just ask Jameis…

  7. tdtb2015 Says:

@JA……”She is just another, in a long line, of ignorant rascists. Interesting statement coming from a black woman though.” Says JA

Are you kidding me???????? JA read those two sentences a few times and let me know what realization comes to mind.

    Is 2016 people!

Yup! Is July. I guess anything goes at JBF until training camp starts…..SMH

  8. Phil Says:

People are to sensitive. Nobody cares you’re offended. If your offended by what someone says get over it. No one forces you to be on twitter and to follow Miko.

  9. Mikep4bucs Says:

I could care less what she says, but she is a reflection of Brent and his decision to bring her into his life. She is putting a lot of attention and pressure on him in what could be his last stop in the NFL.

  10. James Walker Says:

The President of the United States isn’t drug tested, but 84% of all jobs require them and 39% require random testing.

  11. Dooshlarue Says:

Here comes all the extra web traffic you’ve been waiting for since we signed thr Grimes-Miko duo Joe.
    Congratulations.

  12. JMN Says:

Once again the media thinks they run the world…suggesting the Bucs should cut Brent. He just needs to grow a pair and start wearing the pants in his house.

  13. Clodhopper Says:

Yeah that was a racist statement. Yeah she’s a racist. I quit following her on Twitter cuz I was sick of her racism.

But that’s as far as anyone should worry about her. The Bucs shouldn’t care and shouldn’t respond to questions about her. She’s a nothing. She’s like one of us. WTF do they care what she says?

  14. tmaxcon Says:

Society is way too over sensitive and the irresponsible and in component media throw gas on these types of stories. She just needs a week at the Archie Bunker School of Etiquette and Sensitivity….

  15. BKNYfootballhead Says:

    Joe,

You forgot to mention her Twitter statements about the government conspiring to commit fake terrorist acts of genocide against it’s on people. Miko is just another repugnant knuckle-dragging truther.

MIko sasys America is “so f*#@ing soft”, but she shows just how thin-skinned she is in her responding statements. Tough guys/gals are always looking to blame someone else (media) for antagonistic statements or actions. Typical.

  16. Mahabone Says:

Brent needs to be a man and take hold of his wife and set her straight. He looks like a little bich in public being led around by his weenie by his foul mouthed hefer. I’m personally sick and tired of hearing about her. If his contract doesn’t have language in it that personal conduct (Miko included) would be cause for termination, then this could end up as another COLOSSAL free agent failure.

  17. Cobraboy Says:

The “media” says cut Grimes because of his wife?

And the “media” wonders who people loathe them?

    Talk about a disconnect…

  18. Bucfan951 Says:

What I read is that she wears the pants in the family and Brent needs to grow a pair or get his back from her purse…

  19. DaGunny66 Says:

It was just a matter of time that she said something controversial. The last thing this team needs is a possible distraction; I guess I don’t understand why she feels compelled to make such comments. If she stood on her own it would be one thing… unfortunately whether she is a Bucs employee or not her husband is and its still a reflection on the organization. Social media can be a powerful weapon when it is used irresponsibly.

Her opinions belong to her… it just does not make any sense to say the things she says. Its enough craziness and danger going on without the flames being fanned. Just hope she stands down during the season…

  20. Mahabone Says:

spot on bucfan951….. Anyone who thinks this isn’t a Bucs issue is completely wrong. imo Every article out there has Miko the wife of BUCS CORNERBACK Brent Grimes in the same context with A HATE/RASCIST statement. He needs to grow a pair as bucsfan stated and do what’s called saving face and protecting his new team. We’ll see…..I have a feeling he’ll be his submissive self once again.

  21. mike n Says:

This is a lot of attention for a boarder line starter. There is a reason we gave him a 1 year deal and his replacement has already been drafted. Hopefuly we won’t have to hear too much from her and her husband will have a good year. Wht she feels the need to bash Tannehill and the dolphins shows her mentality. When you say 9/11 was just us killing each other, there really no reason for you to be heard again.

  22. BigHogHaynes Says:

That’s the new world order here in These United States, if your Black and have an opinion that is different from the majority, they labor you a racist, racists don’t hate opinions, they the real McCoy racist hate because of the color of your skin, nothing that she says should matter to any one in the Bucs Organization, she just stated her opinion and already she is just a long line of ignorant racist, WOW!

  23. LargoBuc Says:

Why is there pressure on the Glazer’s to take action? Because the media wants them to

  24. USFBUC Says:

Since the site won’t let me put Miko’s quote up in a comment. She actually made a really sound argument defending her statement. Still not sure I would have posted what she posted.

  25. BuccoBill Says:

Oh My GOD!!!! Where is my safe space????? (fingers in ears) La La La La La…..

  26. lightningbuc Says:

Funny, cuz when Lawrence Tyne’s wife chimed in on Twitter after her husband caught the potentially deadly MRSA from the unsanitized One Buc Palace, all Joe did was ridicule her, even though she had a legitimate beef. I guess had she called the Glazers “Je w Boys” Joe wouldn’t have minded so much.

  27. BigMacAttack Says:

Haha, she’s a ball of fire. I like her passion and willingness to put it out there. Free speech has been replaced by political correctness. I wish everyone would speak their mind because we all might get along better if everything was on the table, Go Miko Go!!!

  28. Poor Glennon Says:

She wears the pants in that family. The kids last names probably hyphenated

  29. Buccfan37 Says:

The more she talks the more I like her. Ooh, she said a bad bad thing. Somebody has to point out the obvious. It’s increasingly becoming a womans world. Men are just so scrambled.

  30. Maze Says:

Just wow who cares what she says. So many little sensitive crybabies in the world today. Worry about your own problems. I find her highly entertaining even though I may not agree with some of the stuff she says. Funny thing is she’s right about some of it whether or not softies like Mike Florio or Jay Glazer wanna hear it. I’d be embarrassed for the Glazers if they bent over for the PC kids. She has been very supportive of the Bucs and Jameis.

  31. unbelievable Says:

I’ve tried to give Miko the benefit of the doubt, but this is a chick who is constantly crying that the media isn’t fair to her, and then says she is a professional who has been a sports “analyst / critic” or whatever she called her radio job, and wants to be treated with respect- but Then she goes out and uses derogatory language about an entire minorty of people and says it’s no big deal. Huh?!?

You don’t get respect if you don’t give it. No one will consider you a professional when you run your mouth like a trash talking child.

She wants people to get over it? Maybe she should finally get over the f@ckin dolphins already. She does realize they’re on a new team now, right?

She’s being just as ignorant as all the people she complains about. And yes it does make Brent grimes look like a little b!tch through all of it. Sorry Miko, you just lost any credibility you had as the underdog.

  32. unbelievable Says:

As it relates to Brent on this football team- no, it doesn’t matter at all. Gkazers should not change a thing. But Miko is nothing more than a loud mouth nobody like everyone else on Twitter. Her opinions carry no more wait than yours or mine, despite her “professional career”…

  33. D-Rome Says:

I have mixed feelings on the Bucs commenting on this. I respect both sides of the argument. I tend to lean towards the Bucs not commenting on this simply because we all know the Buccaneers do not agree with or support these comments. Does it really need to be said publicly? Besides, why would they feel the need to respond to a player’s wife when the Glazers are still hiding from the media after the last coach was fired?

  34. Strider ....Sec 147 Says:

    Love miko

  35. DB55 Says:

Well if Miko offends you I’d love to see how you’d react to what Isaiah Crowell posted on social media a few days ago. He’s still on the team which amazes me. He allegedly posted an image of a guy cutting a policeman’s throat with a knife. He “apologized” and remains on the team.

I love how she tried to play dumb late last night like she didn’t know the term n context were insensitive. But I gotta give her credit she’s as real as they get. But remember keeping it real can go very wrong, be careful on social media.

  36. Mike Jhnson Says:

Miko should be quiet and do what all nfl wives do..spend their husbands money. I love women. But I despise..hood rats.

  37. Bucs53 Says:

So, Miko says she can say what she wants because she’s unemployed and not poor, so no one can touch her. She’s delusional.

Hopefully, at the very least, this will put an end to the terrible Miko stories that have been popping up on this site.

    BACK TO FOOTBALL.

  38. Pickgrin Says:

Not long ago, Miko was basically saying that she went nutzo on social media with the Dolphins organization as the target in order to get Brent out of his contract – so he could move on to a team with “a real GM and a real QB”.

Its like she was bragging about the calculated move that worked and simultaneously letting everyone know that she was not really out of control – that she had released all that social media napalm on purpose and in a specific, measured way.

Now that Miko and Brent are in Tampa, yet she’s gone off again for no apparent reason and with the previously desired goal fully realized – its pretty obvious that those claims of overstepping what most anyone would consider to be normal “boundries” for a calculated reason – was just just self aggrandizing and that Mrs Grimes is in fact just plain ol out of control and probably a bit of bat sh!t crazy as well.

But hey – its a free country (allegedly)

  39. Bucsfanman Says:

You know what, too bad if what she says offends you. In this country, the 1st Amendment ensures a citizen’s right to free speech. If you are casting stones right now, I would highly suggest that you take a look in the mirror. I doubt very seriously that ANYONE, anywhere has never uttered anything racist, sexist, or otherwise.
She’s actually right about the media. Gone are the days that anything is checked for fact before being put out there. Now, it is who can get the story out first. How many times have we seen a story start out with 80 people killed, only to find out that only 8 were, and only after getting all the FACTS. The word “sheep” is uttered by some here to signify blind allegiance to whatever is said by others. How many people actually seek out the facts? The facts are inconvenient and boring. What sells is titillating and salacious.
Bottom line is that no one ever agrees with everything everybody else agrees with. It’s your right. If you ever feel yourself being offended by what someone else is saying on social media, the radio, the TV, or any other media outlet (I dare say nobody would utter that crap to your face!) TURN THE DANG CHANNEL! You don’t HAVE to listen to it. They have the right to say it though. If there are consequences, then so be it. They have to deal with that.

  40. unbelievable Says:

No one said she doesn’t have the right to say what she wants- of course she does!

We also have the right to give her no more respect than any other loud mouth nobody on Twitter.

If she wants to be respected as a professional, act like a professional.

The Bucs don’t need to do anything, she doesn’t play for the team and more importantly words don’t hurt. These people that get fake offended at everything or tell people why they’re supposed to be offended by stuff are just trash. Brent did say anything, he’s the one that plays for the team, so mind your business.

The sad part of all this is the fact Miko receives more national attention than bucs organization does. I find her refreshing and enjoy watching the oversensitive people cry

    @loggedontosay

joe did indeed make some good points. that being said, an in-depth media post on how both the writer and the subject agree that the subject shouldn’t draw so much media attention is indeed irony.

Read Mark Twain it should help.

  63. feelthepewterpower Says:

I have no qualms about her speaking her mind. However, it does bring negative attention (she is still affiliated with the team since her husband is a member) when we are trying to creating a positive winning mentality going forth. She keeps dwelling on the Dolphins which ought to be in here rearview mirror and not worth wasting her time on.

  64. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Speaking for Pablo

“Pablo knows what it’s like to be called names…..Pablo pays no attention…..Pablo doesn’t think Miko calling Hewish people Hews is racist…..maybe hust lacking class……and Pablo thinks that if Hoel Glazer isn’t offended…..then neither should Hay Glazer…..also…..Pablo loves him sum Miko”

  65. Rod Munch Says:

Well obviously the Bucs should just cut her and call it a day. Oh wait, she doesn’t play for the team. So why exactly is this a story on a Bucs site? She’s a stupid bigot but we already knew that, plus in this country you’re allowed to be a stupid bigot. There’s approximately 4.2 billion worst posts on Twitter, and that’s just from this afternoon. Mind your business Joe, and the rest of the people gossiping like a bunch of hens in a women’s bathroom, mind your business as well.

  66. Dooshlarue Says:

Cocaine, boredom and social media don’t mix so well Miko.

  67. Frank Pillow Says:

    Joe,

Arrogance and self-awareness seldom go hand-in-hand. Mrs. Grimes’ bevy of post tweet “justifications” prove that out. Simply put her husband’s very public profession and subsequent income (which she rather cavalierly references multiple times), have given her a platform and a sliver or notoriety which she herself choosingly exploits to her favour. Case in point, I doubt you would be interviewing and headlining quotes from the ham and eggers who have paid their hard earned $ to watch this team flop and flail at the bottom of NFL relevancy for decades. Sure, we have the boards, but I’m fairly certain most fans’ tweets aren’t on your RADAR.

Mrs. Grimes can’t have it both ways- Be a pseudo celeb NFL wife and in the spotlight until the spotlight turns into a hot-seat. What she initially typed and perhaps now more importantly how she has responded has perpetuated negative stereotypes on both sides of the incident. It’s too bad she can’t see that. Too bad she doesn’t understand the kindergarten level edict of two wrongs don’t make a right. Too bad you didn’t report a follow-up along these lines.

The Bucs knew who she was and the associated cost of employing her husband. In for a penny, in for a pound. Let’s hope he’s worth it.

  68. NJBucsFan Says:

Maybe Pokemon Go will keep her Twitter fingers busy.

Frankly, I don’t know and don’t care if Miko Grimes is a racist. I don’t believe however, that simply being a black woman means you can’t be racist… What? That’s dumb. But I don’t care what she is or isn’t. She isn’t any of my concern. Anyway, people need to settle down. Whatever she has to say is no worse than The Drumpf… and half the people on JBF seem fine with him. I mean, Miko isn’t running for president but everybody is getting all worked up. Ridiculous.

  70. PK Says:

As a Dolphin fan living in Tampa I can tell you Buc fans, you will put up this crap ALL year till he gets roasted for a TD (and he will – its not if, only when by the nature of the position) at which point she will become a monumental pain in the ass. Because while you are complaining about his play that week, she only gets more obnoxious and the party will be OVER. This is just the beginning – she is just getting warmed up training camp is coming up ya know, she has to to be ready like everyone else.

  71. Joe Says:

    PK:

Kind of hard for someone to get under your skin if you don’t pay attention to the person and don’t follow them on Twitter or radio.

To the best of Joe’s knowledge, Miko will never make or miss a tackle; make or miss a block; catch or drop a football; make a pick or recover a fumble; throw a touchdown or toss an interception for the Bucs.

  72. Buccfan37 Says:

Miko would have made a better president than the current one and the same party next annointed one.

Dumb is not knowing that Miko cannot be a racist by because she is a black women.

loggedontosay, you keep piping up about people’s points being incorrect or invalid, but seem to provide almost no support or counterpoints when doing so. in keeping with your spirit of brevity, i’ll just say that i’m not sure you know what irony and racists are based on your posts in this thread.

re: racism, without getting into whether the subject of this article is herself racist, the fact is ANYBODY can be racist, including people and classes of people who are themselves victimized by racism. people can even be racist against the race that they are part of. it’s not what you are genetically or culturally, it’s what you believe. the belief that only certain races can be racist in a given society is itself a racist position.

  75. WD40 Says:

    Dictionary definition of racist:

a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others

You do realize it’s simply the personification of the noun (racism).

Point being, it can exist in anyone. Miko has proven herself to be a bigot and by accepting that, we are saying we are okay with bigotry. It’s not the Bucs’ problem but it is a societal problem that can only be bettered by openly discussing it’s wrongs, whether intimately or in forums like this.

Yeah, you’re gonna need to support that statement with a little substance. #SorryNotSorry.

First of all “woman” is singular. “Women” is plural. Just a point, since we’re talking about being dumb… I get that black women (plural) don’t generally have the institutional power to engage in racist policies… So to that extent, I understand the point. However, being a black woman (singular) does not make her immune to holding racist views, or uttering racist statements, or acting towards others based on racist assumptions. I really don’t have ANY opinion about whether Miko is a racist or not, and I don’t care. She’s not running for president.
