A Long Weekend In Jacksonville

June 1st, 2016

downtown jacksonville

Bucs fans hungry for the NFL regular season and looking for cheap entertainment can cure both pangs in the same shot. All within a few short hours drive from the Tampa Bay area.

Call it a Bucs staycation.

Todaym dates were announced when the Bucs will face the Jags in their training camp joint practices (Joe remembers when these were called “scrimmages”).

The Bucs and Jags will hold their joint practices Aug. 17-18. Practices will be open to the public, though times have not been announced. On Friday, Aug. 19 the teams will have a day off. The preseason game between the Jags and Bucs will be Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m.

So Bucs fans tiring of seeing the team beat on itself in training camp can book a long weekend in Jacksonville (Joe understands Amelia Island is a nice place), watch a couple of practice,s and then head to the game Saturday.
