Noah Spence Talks Bucs

DE Noah Spence discusses his selection by the Bucs.

Already Joe can tell that new Bucs defensive end Noah Spence is not a quote machine. If he is this tight with his words as a rookie, then it’s doubtful he will get more chatty as the years move on.

Friday night after getting drafted, Spence didn’t say much, mostly because he was so choked up. He had a spot on SiriusXM NFL Radio Saturday and while he was composed, he said even less.

In this video from CBS News 21 of Harrisburg, Pa., by way of Chris Fischer of WTSP-TV Channel 10, Spence opens up a little on his selection by the Bucs.

Enjoy while you can. Joe doesn’t suspect Spence to be any kind of quote machine given early sound bytes.

cant t to watch our rookies this year excited about all of them and very intrigued by ryan smith I’m seriously thinking him and mcdougald should be our starters

  2. kstoges Says:

    wait*

  3. Fsuking Says:

Whelp… Not gonna watch any more Noah Spence interviews. But that’s not why he’s here. Besides if Dirk’s, Jaboo’s and Licht’s outstanding pressers are’t enough, we always got Robertos to look forward too. On side side note, the quality of Dirk’s press conferences has greatly diminished now that he’s a head coach. I hope that’s just an offseason thing, wensday was my third favorite day of the week because he tells it like it is

Does anyone who has ever gone to an away game at New Orleans know the best way to get tickets where a group of Bucs fans will be sitting? Thought it would be fun to root the Bucs on with fellow Bucs fans who will be at the game in New Orleans on December 24th.

I like few word bout that action type guys. Man I can’t wait to see him lined up next to GMC.

  6. BucsQcCity Says:

So glad we got him in 2nd round. No need to talk just hunt QBs

  7. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Man RayJay I’m envious. Only been to “The Big Easy” once…before Katrina.

Wouldn’t want to live there but it’s a great town to visit. I have never been to a Bucs game on the road.

  8. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

He should change his name from Spence to “Spawn” cause that’s what he looks like in that video… You know what..

  9. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

I can tell he has an attitude, something we need more of around here. Remember, him and Jameis are friends, so he will be right at home, terrorizing QB’s in the NFL for years. It is hard to believe that he fell to us.

  10. rayjay1122 Says:

Thanks SPBF. Yeah, I am excited since this will be my first away game. Sold the wife on the idea of the Holidays in New Orleans because she loved pictures of the decorations and we don’t have kids to have to stay home for. Got the air travel and lodging taken care of but haven’t bought game tickets yet. I am not sure if there is a way to buy tickets as part of a Bucs fan group. Hopefully someone will know.

  11. Buc1987 Says:

    Me hunt QB.

    Me sack QB.

  12. buccfan305 Says:

    @Buc1987

    Lmfao!!!

  13. Bryan Says:

Seems like a kid who has been through a lot. Off the field issues cost him millions. Probably just better to keep his head down and play ball.

I live in Baton Rouge so I try to go to all of the Saints vs Bucs games in N.O. I usually just buy individual tickets and go with friends (Saints Fans). It would be nice to sit with a group of Bucs fans for a change!

  15. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    Yea Bryan, that’s that motivation.

  16. Louis Says:

Sounds like he was tutored by Crash Davis on cliche speak!

  17. SB with Jameis Says:

    Good Evening Bucs Faithful.

  18. LifeOfABucFan Says:

    Good evening SB..

He’s going to play pretty evenly balanced with TWO massive chips on his shoulders..He will harder against the teams that rejected him..I remember hearing waaaay back that he was in the top five to go..but I am so happy the Bucs looked at his off field issues as nothing but a kid away from home experimenting with some drugs..heck in my day it was quualudes also called lemons 714’s..lol…oh and Koolaid flavoured mushroom juice…

  19. CL Bucs Says:

Good. I don’t want another happy go lucky defensive lineman. *cough Gerald McCoy. I want a badass quiet guy who let’s his play do all the talking. That’s Noah Spence

  20. BDorry55 Says:

    Talkers make me thirsty.

  21. LifeOfABucFan Says:

GMC is changing guys..now he’s doing Periscope, talking to fans on it..I think seeing how Donovan has such an awesome following..it’s rubbing off on him..

I really think he just didn’t feel everyone was holding their weight..look at the end of the Atlanta game in OT how he had his arms crossed, at the calling of the coin..

He’s changing..even at the restaurant he goes too where my oldest son works, he’s been super good with the wait staff and fans..

GMC seems happier than ever..it was really funny when he couldn’t figure out how to start the chat though..lol…

  22. Mike Johnson Says:

I get this feeling…Spence is going to be great. Hell, he’s not here to give us a lecture of..Emulsions in Physics. He’s here to hunt QB’s. I personally would not care if the guy just said, leave me alone. He’s probably one of those, my actions on the field gonna do the talkin. And that’s fine with most of us. We just want him to..ball out!

  23. unbelievable Says:

    @Rayjay,

You’re gonna have a blast! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, but I have not been there for a Bucs game yet.

I’m sure like most stadiums there is an “away” side if you look online you can find out. There will still be tons of Saints fans, but you’re more likely to have some fellow Bucs fans sprinkled throughout. When I go to the Chargers games out here we sit on the away side and there’s a decent amount of away team fans spread throughout.

  24. LifeOfABucFan Says:

    Agree @ Mike Johnson

    GAWD!!!! Can the season get here P L E A S E !!!!!

  25. Trubucfan22 Says:

Sounds like a matured, humbled man.

The Joes are so upset over that. They want more miko personalities to keep themselves entertained.

  26. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Eli Apple’s mother speaks her mine too on Twitter..

    She tweeted yesterday:

    Annie Apple ‏@SurvivinAmerica · May 1

Praying for all the thirsty girls sliding in new NFL rookies DMs with heavy booty & cleavage action pics. Only Jesus can quench your thirst

    —————-

so maybe one of new Bucs mother will be the same..

  27. TheShaz Says:

I could care less about the dude’s Sound Bite potential…..CAN HE MAKE OPPOSING QB’S SOIL THEIR PANTS?

  28. FuNkYxMuNkEy Says:

We already have 1 loud mouth on our D Line. No need for another. We added two star players in the 1st 2 rounds. I also believe Spence will stay out of trouble and will end up being an epic steal in the 2nd round. I still would have preferred Ogbah, but the talent level is pretty even between the 2 guys so it’s all good.

I really like Ryan Smith as well. Him and McD will make a great pairing at safety for many years to come. And the Tackle from UCLA will end up being our starting RT after this season. Maybe sooner if injuries occur. We also may have our new Sam LB. And a do it all FB. Plus an expensive but talented kicker. Great draft IMO by Licht and Co. Time to go to work now…Go Bucs!!

  29. Lord Cornelius Says:

lol this is probably why some teams said he interviewed terribly at the combine.

Guy seems real though because that’s how he’s sounded in every interview I’ve heard. Just not a man for words and doesn’t seem like he cared to be coached up on being an NFL politician basically.

All i know is he has passed every drug test for a long ass time now and isn’t in any trouble and is the best pass rusher in this draft class by far on tape in my opinion. Lawson/Dodd/Ogbah can’t touch this guys’s moves.
