Warren Sapp Wants Miko Grimes Off Twitter

April 24th, 2016
Is Warren Sapp fearful of Miko Grimes?

Warren Sapp doesn’t like Miko Grimes’ persona

Nothing quite like fireworks before July 4.

It seems Warren Sapp is leery of Bucs superwife and fan Miko Grimes, very significant other of Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes.

Yesterday, Sapp talked to the Custodian of Canton, eye-RAH! Kaufman, in Pasco County, where Sapp coached youth football players with ex-Bucs and current defensive tackle Clinton McDonald.

Sapp wants Miko to ditch her powerful social media voice, @iHeartMiko.

“I don’t know (new coordinator) Mike Smith,’’ Sapp said, “but remember, I wasn’t a Monte Kiffin guy until I got to know him. I like the acquisition of (cornerback) Brent Grimes. I hope his old lady (Miko) stays off Twitter and leaves people alone.’’

Shame on Sapp.

So it’s been ok for him to be a notorious loudmouth, but he’s concerned about Miko and wants her to shut up? Heck, for years Sapp was paid big dollars for his opinion. This is quite hypocritical.

Love warren, but this, coming from a guy who got arrested for stiffing hookers… Come on, man.

  2. GenocideD Says:

Miko: I’ll stay off twitter if you stay off hookers.

  3. Buc1987 Says:

    Ha ha ha ha whatever.

  4. Steve Says:

But we aren’t paying her big bucks for her opinion. She destroys teams for free! Also, what makes her a superwife joe?

  5. cometowin2 Says:

This is like a bad accident waiting to happen.

  6. Dewey Selmon Says:

He is right, he might be a loud mouth but he played the game. She has distraction written all over her. Grimes won’t be here next year because of her.

  7. buc4life1979 Says:

Sapp just jealous over Miko being fine and a str8-up tell it like it is lady. That female charater combo didn’t work out very well for him last time in Vegas.

  8. Fsuking Says:

It’s the most rational, intelligent thing Warren Sapp has said in sometime.

  9. jerseybuc Says:

Sapp’s problem with her is that she makes public what is inside the locker room. She exposes issues that the players feel should stay private. She is a huge distraction. She is toxic, and probably needs professional help. I remember Kris Benson’s wife when he was with the Mets. They couldn’t get rid of him quick enough due to her meddling, and that was before the internet.
    No way this ends well.

  10. BigMacAttack Says:

Warren, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s old lady.

  11. Couch Fan Says:

I crack up everytime someone says she destroys locker rooms. If players are that mentally weak, they shouldnt be in the NFL anyways.

  12. SB with Jameis Says:

A good buddy of mine with Excellent football knowledge claims that Andrew Billings will be the best DT drafted in recent years. I did some reading on the kid and watched some tape. Pretty darn impressive. He is slotted to go to the Skins at 21 in some mocks. I know the argument of DE but I maintain that it doesn’t matter if the pressure comes from the interior or the end, as long as it gets there.

  13. tmaxcon Says:

Miko is the least of the bucs worries. Couch Fan is dead on…

  14. SB with Jameis Says:

WOW! The kid played both ways too.
    …………………
“Marty Herbst, Billings’s coach at Waco High, says the then 325-pounder dominated other linemen. Billings recorded an astounding 266 pancake blocks over his junior and senior years of high school, punishing defenders with his physicality. Two-way players aren’t common at the Class 5A level in Texas, and the Lions needed Billings on offense. But when he subbed in on defense, primarily as a third-down specialist, he overpowered everybody.

“Most kids, they might split a double team once a game,” Herbst says. “He did it down after down. If he was going against the center, that center was gonna go backwards, whether he wanted to or not.”

  15. Couch Fan Says:

I agree SB. Billings is my fav DT in the draft and I believe when its all said and done he will be worthy of a top 10 pick no matter where he lands.

  16. SB with Jameis Says:

Yeah Couch, he has somehow flown under my radar. However I trust this guy with his predictions. He has been spot on for the decade I have known him tho. The more I read on this kid the more I would like to move back a few spots and pull the trigger on him.

  17. Espo Says:

Miko isn’t a qb killa. Sapp can say what he wants. It’s not like she’ll listen.

  18. Tom Says:

Everytime i see someone disagrees with her on Twitter she cusses them out. Everyone has a opinion. Miko was one of the reasons the management cut Brent Grimes . Is she going to call out Winston if he has a couple of bad games. Winston wont let her comments be a distraction. The teams goal is to win a championship and they dont need any distractions. I heard some of the media in Miami said she was a distraction. We wont let that happen here. But im glad we signed Grimes.

  19. rayjay1122 Says:

    Yawn….is it football season yet???

  20. Bucs Fan 88 Says:

We dont need any distractions. I read that Miko was part of the reasons why the dolphins cut grimes because of the negative comments. Its different if your a fan or season ticket holder its different if you are a player or players wife.

Yes he’s a notorious loudmouth, but quite frankly he earned the right to be. Joe, are you more familiar with the inner workings of an NFL locker room than Warren Sapp? Not saying Sapp is an A1 human being, but if he thinks that Miko’s obnoxiousness has the potential to be detrimental to the Bucs, he’s more than qualified to say so.

  22. ElioT Says:

Sorry, you don’t get to speak for Joe or make inaccurate generalizations about Joe. Bucs Hall of Famer spoke and offered a strong opinion. Joe’s not about to pretend to be on some high horse and ignore it in the name of the playbook for a dying arm of the media –Joe

Sapp is a douche bag but the dude is a HoF Buc and helped this franchise win their only Super Bowl. I will argue to say the only time this Bucs team has been feared was when#99

  23. ElioT Says:

Sapp is a douche but the dude is a HoF Buc and helped this franchise win it’s only Super Bowl. The only time this Bucs team has ever been feared was when #99 was on the roster.

Miko Grimes hasn’t done s*it for Tampa so Sapp can say what ever he wants.

My question to Joe(s) is this: If the Bucs have a rough 2016 which wouldn’t be surprising, would you stand behind Miko and her opinions?

  24. Tampabaybucfan Says:

This will work well……Miko vs Sapp…..as long as she is into it with a former player……She’ll be fine until she starts to trash Dominick…..then she will have stepped in it!!!

  26. Kevin Says:

Ohhhhhhhhh snap. This should be good!!!

  27. Buc1987 Says:

    TBBF…lol

  28. austinbucfan Says:

I don’t care if she is on twitter, I just wish she wasn’t on JBF so often

  29. Mort Says:

Or if you don’t wanna read her tweets, you can stay off her twitter yourself. I haven’t seen any except the ones Joe feels he needs to post. It’s pretty easy to avoid them.

  30. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Lol, sorry Joe doesn’t have a like button on the site because I would definitely like Austin’s comment!

  31. StPeteBucsFan Says:

I crack up everytime someone says she destroys locker rooms. If players are that mentally weak, they shouldnt be in the NFL anyways.

Amen Couch fan!!!! Warren is just peoed that he’s a bankrupt has beeen who misses the spotlight.

  32. BucFixa Says:

Joe, I like your insight, your up to the minute reporting and your airtime when it comes to the Bucs. What I loathe is twitter kings and queens, you know the one’s who post for followers. If I wanted to follow Mrs. Grimes and her nonsense i would most certainly go to her tweets. I just wish Joe didn’t feel compelled to throw her in our faces. But he will, so why not throw in the Kardashians and dude looks like a lady Jenner while you’re at it. Also, a TMZ Sports endorsement would make a fine capper. Gotta go ..binge watching Nancy Grace

  33. James Walker Says:

    Hey Pot, hello Kettle….

  34. Buccfan37 Says:

The real spokesperson for all things Bucs, any way the wind blows Sapp blows the other way.

  35. DavidbigBucsFan Says:

Celebrity Death match Warren Sapps mouth vs Miko Grimes mouth. Who woukd win?

  36. FLBoyInDallas Says:

She’s actually not so bad…until a team offends her and she becomes a cancer. What kind of POS bag of trash kind of woman gets arrested at the stadium? I don’t care how you spin it that’s a flag so red the bulls in Spain are getting pissed off just thinking about it.

  37. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    lol…that’s Warren for you 😉

  38. Miko Says:

Yo Sapp….go play with your hookers….this is our team now…someone with a history like yours needs to shut your Yap,..Sapp.

  39. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Can someone here explain something to me?

I frequently see posters peoed at Joe’s choice of topics. ???????

Why do people click on a story about Miko Grimes if they DON’T want to read about her.

I don’t think Joe has ever forced anybody to read anything he posts.

It’s a choice!!!! Some topics interest me more than others but if I hit a boring one I simply scroll or do not click on it to begin with.

What’s up with that? Do people not know how to scroll past Miko stories if they don’t want to read about her.

I don’t like Warren Sapp but I totally get Joe posting stories about him and if I don’t want to read I simply don’t freaking open the link. DUH

LMFAO – I love it when people come into a private forum, and then squeak about being ‘censored’. Like you have a right to say whatever fool thing you want to in another person’s house. It’s not a violation of your first amendment rights if you throw a drink in the hosts’ face, then he throws you out of the house!

As far as Sapp, yeah, he’s a loudmouth jerk, but who has a better view of the consequences of yapping while Sapping? He’s got a lot of experience. Miko certainly can’t be accused of lack of loyalty to her man, but the Twitter rants are just selfish. I’m sure she sees it as ‘keeping it real’, and sticking up for her man, but when does lashing out and cursing like a gangster rapper ever fix anything? Lots of idiots on Twitter, they’ll say what they say. Support your man without stooping to the idiot’s level, be better than they are, and stay above it. Let your man take care of business on the field. Maybe Miko should watch some of the old Dave Chapelle sketches ‘When keeping it real goes wrong’!

    Couch Fan says:
‘I crack up everytime someone says she destroys locker rooms. If players are that mentally weak, they shouldnt be in the NFL anyways.’

It’s not about being mentally weak [although, what gave you the idea that most NFL athletes are mental/emotional rocks of Gibraltar?]. It’s about someone outside the team sowing animosity among players who need to work together. You’re saying that if the spouse of a co-worker or someone you supervise took you out to the woodshed on Twitter, that would have absolutely NO impact on your relationship with that person at work?

This has nothing to do with mental weakness, more to do with being human.

  42. Mike Johnson Says:

Never have cared for Sapp’s off the field antics. Nor Miko’s either. Butt make no mistake..Warren Sapp is/was one of the best ever done it..in a Bucs uniform. He, Brooks and Lynch had something special..A WILL TO WIN!
Our present day Bucs need to find that will..and quick!
