Jay-Z Hangs With Jameis

April 13th, 2016
Granted an audience with America's Quarterback.

Granted an audience with America’s Quarterback.

For Bucs fans who dismiss America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, as a national celebrity if not treasure, think again. Here is (more) proof.

Less than two years after arguably the best basketball player to hit the court, Magic Johnson, paid a visit to Jameis as he prepared for the Rose Bowl, another heavy hitter paid homage to Jameis this afternoon.

That would be rap mogul Jay-Z. The husband of Beyonce stopped by One Buc Palace and pressed flesh with Jameis, paying his respects to not just Jameis, but America, as documented by Buccaneers.com.

Jameis gave Jay-Z a Bucs jersey and offered to toss the pigskin around on the practice fields of One Buc Palace.

And people actually wonder why Joe writes about Jameis? Notice Jay-Z didn’t take his time to swing by One Buc Palace to hang with Russell Shepard.

He’s about to be the equivalent of what Lebron James is to the NBA here in the NFL. Some of y’all need to wake up as to what is happening right before your eyes. The Bay is on the map. This momentum will only gain more and more speed.

  2. macabee Says:

Winston chose The Legacy Agency to represent him not Roc Nation. This is just respect and friendship. Of course, you never know what the future holds. Good luck to both men – good at what they do!

  3. OAR Says:

Give me a break. Too funny, Yea Jay Z flew to Tampa “JUST” to see Winston….please its not like Beyoncé is doing a show at the Stadium.

  4. OAR Says:

    When opportunity knocks…..

  5. Supersam Says:

Gay-z need to stay is corrupt ass away from Jameis, don’t need him polluting Jameis’s head full of garbage just like he did with Geno Smith.

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Speaking for Pablo

Just because Jay-Z’s name ends in a Z, don’t expect Pablo to get excited….or like when the Bucs were interested in Steve Wisniewski (the Wiz)…..didn’t count then either”

  7. OAR Says:

Jordan, Sapp, and now Jay Z…not the best role models for a young man.

  8. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

    Yup!

  9. Buc1987 Says:

OAR….yes we all should be VERY worried.

Give it up with your nonsense already….

  10. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Some of y’all too funny. That dude made his way out of a Brooklyn project to one of the most successful highly recognisable individuals in America. But you sit here on jbf like you holier than tho.. All I can say is 😮wow.

  11. DB55 Says:

Hova and The Messiah! Blessed indeed! WE ABOUT TO GO H.A.M!!!

  12. Joseph Mamma Says:

Still not as cool as dressing up as the king of pop with a baby tiger for a photo, but whatever.

  13. DB55 Says:

  14. OAR Says:

Arrests and scandals abound between them, just facts and observations…..but youre right its nonsense. BTW no worries here.

    Nole
Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone’s got them…..even you with your Winston man love.

  15. Waterboy Says:

Sounds like Jay-Z might be trying to recruit a new prospect for his sports agency.

  16. Waterboy Says:

I actually agree with SuperSam on this one.

  17. Scurvy Dogs Says:

If you actually watch the video and consider why Jay-Z is in Tampa, you would realize this is much ado about nothing. Jay-Z isn’t corrupting anyone. It was about mutual respect from our organization to a top selling artist, who just so happened to be in town. Be happy that we are on the map enough that people want to stop by while they’re in town…geesh.

I think we can take this one at face value.

  18. Espo Says:

Unnecessary Russell Sheppard burn! America’s punt team gunner!

One of My Favorite Verses Jay every wrote

I made it so, you could say Marcy and it was all good
I ain’t crossover I brought the suburbs to the hood
Made em relate to your struggle, told em bout your hustle
Went on MTV with do-rags, I made them love you
You know normally them people wouldn’t be Buckin witchu
Til I made em understand why you do what you do

I expected to hear, “Jay, if it wasn’t for you..”
But instead, all I hear is buzzin in your crew
How y’all scheamin, tryin to get accustomed to my moves
So y’all could tape my mouth, stake out my house

But I got pride I’m Jigga first
I gotta cock back and pull the trigger first
    That’s how Jigga work

The funny thing; I represent y’all everytime I spit a verse
and that’s the sh!t that hurts
But hey, I got my mind right, got my nine right here
So when y’all feel that the time is right..

I really don’t care for the genre of Rap Music or as my wife calls it..Artist who still lyrics from true song writers. I believe they call it sampling. But its stealing. For now, I hope Mr. Winston stays away from the..snappers. With all the adulation he’s getting after just one season, you’d think Jameis was a proven 10 yr top vet.

  41. unbelievable Says:

    Of course you don’t.

That literally surprises no one around here.

  42. Mike Johnson Says:

I appreciate the compliment there Un believable. Keep’em comin. Best one I’ve gotten..all day!!

To Modern times – Someone is always biting off somebody else

  44. unbelievable Says:

Exactly. There are only so many notes and combinations you can make. Literally thousands if not millions of songs all use a 1-4-5 progression– from country to blues, pop, heavy metal and punk.

And btw, there is a big difference between sampling music and stealing (or ‘stilling’ as you put it) lyrics.

  45. Mike Johnson Says:

Well Luvmybucs.. At least you named real musical artist and composers. I’ll take my man Hendrix..Gaye and Ray Charles over any rapper..any day baby!!

  46. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I grew up on the classics. I still play them on the regular. But when I hit the gym at
4am, or I’m behind on a project. I need that jolt – I’m liable to play anything

From Hip Hop, Rap, Metal, Rock – you name it.

One minute I’m bumping Disturbed, the next I’m playing Boney James, lol.

Depends on the mood – good is good music.

  48. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    good music is good music.

  49. cmurda Says:

Lightning look like booty. Not the way you are supposed to play at home to start playoffs.

  50. BucTrooper Says:

Heard from my ticket guy at the Bucs today. …. the Draft party at RJS will not be like previous years because of that facockta Beyonce concert that is happening the following night. So once again, Beyonce screws with football.

  55. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

Led Zeppelin stole more from the old blues guys than any DJ has ever sampled. And got paid way more for it. That’s the truth. Art is art. Whether some people see it or not.

    LuvmyBucs gets it.

  81. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Just got in from work, hate I miss the brunt of this one. SB,LWD,LUV and DB55 whus up my dudes. Did y’all catch the pics of the jersey Jamies presented to Jigga??? Joint said “Young Hov”on the back. Since someone mention 2Pac you gotta pull up “you ain’t never had a friend like me”. Joe you a fool for this one. And I mean that in a good way homie.

  82. SB with Jameis Says:

Lol……….The Atl and Orlando part of the trip went well. We saw the In laws in Atl. We saw my family in Orlando and I met up with Nole on Sat for some beers and some Jack Daniels while I was there. The trip went sour after that when we were supposed to have “actual” vacation time for ourselves. The brakes went out on the car on the way to Panama City. Took two days worth of sitting in a Hotel room and $1000 bucks to fix. Then my wife and son got so sick I had to take them to the Emergency room overnight with a stomach flu. Two days later we depart for Vortex springs and that is where I came down with what they had. I spent three days in the Hotel room there throwing up and then drove home for three days
Other than getting to see the families the trip Sucked

  83. SB with Jameis Says:

Sup Nole bro! Hope all is well.

  84. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Love and Warrick Dunn

Yeah – Proud Moment for Young Jameis – I bet.

  88. SB with Jameis Says:

Oh sorry LUV………I only got to fish for three hours and all I caught was a couple sheephead and some bait stealers. It really blew. Oh well, it just motivates me to come back down there this summer.

  89. SB with Jameis Says:

Thanks DB we are all good now.

  90. SB with Jameis Says:

  91. cmurda Says:

Jay – Z may have been here because Mrs. Z was playing in Tampa, but he didn’t have to make a stop to hang with Jameis. JW has the “it” factor and it’s awesome.

Got 99 problems but a QB ain’t one

  94. cmurda Says:

Adding on to parts of the rap conversation. I’ve been really getting into the midwest stuff. Tech 9 is alright but Ces Cru can spit. Riitz and Krizz Kalico are nice and Hopsin has some smooth flows with nice emotional tones. Yelawolf, who brought out Riitz, also very legit.

Classic Nas always brings it. Rakim. Drake as usual. I also dig Lupe Fiasco and Sean Daley with a totally different style focusing more on the meaning then the rhyme. Lastly, Eminem is the Elvis of rap. I respect it all.

  95. Bill Says:

    Robinson Cano.

Jay-Z is a rap mogul, there’s no doubt about that. However, any athlete that puts their future in his hands is foolish. He’s a cultural figure, nothing more, and I’m pretty sure JW will see that as well.

LeBron James listens to Warren Buffet, not Jay-Z. If Jameis holds any intelligence at all, then he’ll do the same.

  96. DemBoysFromDaBay727 Says:

Yeah, u gotta be a fool to not think he’s trying to pursway him to,become one of his clients and become his agent. Along with all the other big names in sports. That’s the first thing that him my mind when I seen this photo. He fits the mold perfectly as one of hovas clients. Think about it.
