It may be mid-April, but Bucs middle linebacker Kwon Alexander is regular-season ready. At least, mentally.
When Joe asked Kwon, who is a workout fiend — if you follow him on Twitter you know this — what he tried to improve on physically this offseason, Kwon noted he just wants to improve everywhere. Then he launched into one of the best quotes Joe has heard in a while.
“It is all about heart,” Kwon said before discussing how physical traits often are overrated. You know, looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane?
Then Kwon dropped this one that will live in Bucs lore:
“I may look small but I will hit you.”
Yes, Stewart McClown can confirm this.
Now that’s what Joe calls a middle linebacker’s mentality!

See…. is that too much to ask for? ITS ALL ABOUT HEART! Amen to that brother! Oh and that McClown hit gets played on loop whenever in need something to brighten my day. Reminds me of how MARK BARRON used to lay dudes out.

Coffee is the cheapest energy drink out there. I’ve never tried the canned variety of energy juice. I can’t wait for Kwon to wreak some havoc.

Hey guys!!!!!!!!!!! I need ADVICE!
We are going to be in Jax to support the Bucs of course..now my good friend told me NOT to go in my car because I have a BUCS license plate and Bucs paraphernalia around it..He said get a rental because people will damage my car..and actually it’s a brand new SUV! I don’t want an assortment of liquids thrown at it..

Just finish watching the the Kwon presser. The parts that stood out to me the most was when he said #1 “the way I work everybody gone work”. Sound like to me this young man is hell bent on becoming the undisputed leader of this defense. #2 “I plan to one-day be a HOFr”. Gotta be excited about now having young men who have lofty expectations of themselves and teammates. I love it.

I loved the most of his presser. The best quote to me was when he proclaimed that he is working hard to make the Bucs the #1 defense in the nfl. Still a little immature but the perfect mindset to go for greatness. He is the soul and fire we needed on the d side for a change. He is a beast. Love Alexander the Great.
