There are two potential drawbacks to this offseason. The first is the possible disruption to the development of America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, if offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter bolts.

The second is that Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht might lose his right hand man, director of player personnel, Jon Robinson.

It looks like the right hand is about to be amputated.

Robinson, per heavy metal head-banging Jason La canfora of CBS Sports, said Robinson and the Titans are closing in on a deal to make Robinson their general manager.

This is not great news for the Bucs, but great news for Robinson, who is a really good dude.

But let’s be real, it is Licht who picked Robinson. So given Licht’s eye for talent, both on and off the field, Joe trusts Licht will find a suitable replacement.

And good luck to Robinson if this deal goes through.

Best of luck to Robinson, if he’ll get the job. I hope so and I’m not concerned, Licht has been one of the few positive factors for the Bucs in recent years, and I’m confident that he’ll keep up the good work he has done so far. As long as Licht will have a major say in all things Bucs, then I’ll remain hopeful. And yes, it’s another invite directed at the Glazer boys. Stay out of any football decision, unless it’s firing dreadful coaches like Lovie Smith. Let Licht pick whoever he thinks should coach the Bucs into a perennial contender.

replacement is probably already in the building. more important is what the bucs hired Licht for, which is the system of evaluation the team has implemented, which will survive any one departure

It’s called passion. When an oppurtunity is given you look back at an say wow look what I have developed. Don’t question what you have lost but believe in what you have just made. Congrats! You have learned from the greats. Go Bucs!

You can count on Licht having his replacement in mind already, if not in house.
