Bucs guard Logan Mankins is in Hawaii participating in his seventh Pro Bowl.
Of course, Joe is there asking the important questions.
Mankins attended the big Pro Bowl draft this evening — afternoon in Wahiawa — and shared his favorite Pro Bowl memory.
Outside of parties and getting to know superstars, Mankins’ best time came the mountains just outside Wheeler Army Airfield, the site of today’s Pro Bowl draft.
“I went wild boar hunting right in those mountains, and we killed a couple of wild pigs, and that was a lot of fun,” Mankins said.
Now there’s the classic mindset of an NFL lineman for you. Seven Pro Bowl trips to Hawaii and the guy’s heart is warmed by catching and slaughtering an innocent boar running for his life.
Mankins said he’ll be more calm this week. “Just hanging out by the pool, mostly,” he said.
Joe will have much more tomorrow morning, including Mankins talking about his future, Lovie Smith, Dirk Koetter and America’s Quarterback.
