Beat Up Defensive Line

December 4th, 2015
"Doubtful" for Sunday.

“Doubtful” for Sunday.

Bucs fans who holler about the rotation on the defensive front may get their wish to stop the rotation. Because the Bucs may run out of players to rotate.

The injury report released today is grim. Defensive ends George Johnson and Jacquies Smith have been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, who did not practice today, has been listed as doubtful.

Joe has but one thing to say about the GMC haters: If he doesn’t play, be careful what you wish for.

Can’t wait to see the return of Damar Dotson with CHerilus out.

  2. R.O Says:

hmmm I wonder how many times the Falc’s will run it on Sunday? 40?

  3. Depleted Optimism Says:

Well folks…this ought to be interesting. Hope we learned from last week. No pass rush? Well…stop leaving our corners (mediocre by the way) out on an island. Change it up! Our offense is going to have to outplay ATL’s offense and pray they put up enough points to account for our defense giving up a zillion points. Same ole’ story for our die hard fans but hey, MAYBE we have ASJ back and MAYBE we show up with some intensity and MAYBE we throw them a new look on defense they aren’t expecting and MAYBE we eek out a win by 3 due to the guy from the grocery store kicking for ATL this week. Lots of MAYBEs but hey, MAYBE it all works out this week and we feel a hell of a lot better about it on Monday. GO BUCS!

    Cool:

Cherilus has not been ruled out.

  5. Waterboy Says:

Get Daquan Bowers on the phone lol

  6. Louis Friend Says:

Matt Ryan won’t beat himself if there’s no pass rush. No QB will (except Sanchez maybe). Don’t get too upset if the Falcons exert their will over this defense Sunday. Hard to blame the corner covering Julio if he’s got to cover him for more than 5 seconds.

  7. 813bucboi Says:

no worries…spence, melton and ghloston will step up…lets see who our leaders on defense are….GO BUCS!!!

    @Joe or anybody who knows…

Is Kwon’s appeal still active? Is he going to be able to play? Without GMC we don’t need to lose him as well.

Jack Smith is starting to worry me as well. I like him when he plays but he seems to have developed the injury flu.

  9. loggedontosay Says:

I want McCoy to play. I want McCoy to be great; he ain’t. The Bucs will not win one game because of McCoy’s play. We need to find a sucker that will give us 2 or 3 good players and a high draft pick for him. AND, he is hurt all the time.

Will play until the NFL tells him otherwise, whenever that may be.

This is where lapdog Licht and LovieDovie’s merry men of coaching wizardry are expected to field a competetive product. The measure of your success should in part be what you can do without the key players that we acquired prior to your arrival. Tired of excuses.

Gosder Cherilus is listed as questionable which means it is questionable if he plays. JK. I say let Cherilus rest for a game and give the big man Dotson a chance to earn his spot back. There is only a 25% chance GMC will play which means he is probably not playing. Jacquies Smith is out. Ouch. Time for Gholston, Spence, Melton and Jones to rise to the occasion. Time for McDaniel to play like he did for the Seahawks. Our offense is going to have to put more than 12 points up if we are going to win this one. If ASJ returns and Marpet is back this could be the spark the offense needs to comeback from last week. Can’t wait to see the new and improved Mike Evans.
