A Quick Post On GMC

Educated speculation on GMC's left hand injury.

Educated speculation on GMC’s left hand injury.

A quick note about Gerald McCoy and his left hand. Last week it was in a sling after he said he had a “small procedure” done to it.

For some educated speculation, a local chiropractor who works with sports injuries, Dr. Steven Komsky, offered some idea of what GMC is going through and why he was in a sling yet able to play today.

“First just to clarify I am a chiropractor not an orthopedic surgeon,” Komsky said. “But General medical knowledge indicates that Gerald McCoy having his hand in a cast and arm in a sling is to insure proper healing. The cast could imply that the “minor procedure” was pins in a bone that was fractured or something along those lines. The sling is a good way to protect it and prevent it from being accidently bumped or banged.”

So there you have it. A guy with just a wee bit more background in the medical field than Joe believes it isn’t very serious, hence why GMC referred to it as a “small procedure.”

Enjoy the game, Bucs fans!

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to hear that both GMc and LD were playing this week. I am concerned that GM could do additional damage to his hand though. Go Bucs!

Making excuses for Gerald McCoy before he goes on the field a play horribly-priceless.

Go figure, that stunning red highlight hasn’t changed his game.
