Report: ASJ “Unlikely” For Today

November 8th, 2015

.

Though no one will know for sure until 90 minutes before kickoff, when the Bucs release their inactive list per NFL guidelines, a report by a trusted national scribe suggests Austin Seferian-Jenkins likely will miss today’s game against the Giants at 4:05 p.m.

That’s the word from uber-NFL insider Adam Schefter of BSPN.

Again, we will not know how this plays out until the Bucs release their inactive list.

After being drafted in the second round last year, of the 23 potential Bucs games ASJ could have played in, he has only suited up for 11 due to various injuries.

  1. pick6 Says:

today he either goes 12 for 24 (.500) and on his way to restoring his reputation, or he goes 11 for 24 and at least a few weeks away from shedding his image as a disappointment. kinda like the bucs

  2. Tampa Tony Says:

Should’ve traded him for Vernon Davis. Dude is softer than loser Lovie’s defense

  3. Brent Says:

Can we get anything for him in a trade? 4th rounder. This guys been injured since college.

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I want him to play….but not to risk further injury. We really need him, especially with Vjax out.

  5. Buccfan37 Says:

I had a lot of hope for ASJ when he was drafted, bought into the hype, the dunkaneers, the big bodied mauler. This must of been the other OC’s pick, the one who got sick, his name escapes me now. ASJ, you are needed now to show why you were chosen so highly. He is special though, especially slow healing.

  6. ATrain Says:

    ASJ

    As Soft as Jam.

Great player is only great on the field. Has not play 5 games back to back yet. Trade or cut him…We are paying for him to watch the game. Bucs can pay me to do that.

  7. Yungry Says:

Great news! Now Brate can catch more balls and we can depend on blocking.

  8. JAB83 Says:

    BOOOOOO, SO DISAPOINTED…

The news latter on better merit this…. So disappoint inASJ at this point…. The guy must know AMERICAS QB needs him….

  9. JAB83 Says:

Stupid smart phone!!!! The news better merit him being out…. SofA king we taught it he is a no go…. Ur starting to P ME off ASJ…. Your my X Factor we need you baby!!!! Dang!!!!

  10. Solinor Says:

Didn’t u guys hear? He said this week he ain’t playing unless he’s 100%! As if everyone and anyone who comes back from injury is 100%. I hope Logan Mankins has a talk with this kid today about how be PLAYED THRU u a ACL TEAR because HIS TEAM NEEDED HIM. He must be a liberal, because he really enjoys getting paid for not working!

  11. Tnew Says:

I dont disagree with the pick. He looks so good when healthy but you just must play at 80-90 percent. The only way to be 100% at this point is if you aren’t playing. But this is a position that is a must in today’s NFL. I would have this as the only position that I would draft on offense in the first two days of the next draft. If available, I would select hunter Henry from Arkansas if available in round 2. He catches, runs routes and blocks all in a pro style system. He’s not some soft product of a spread. Might be gone when we draft in 2 but if he’s not..,,

  12. HorseForce Says:

Drafting a tight end early next year!

    1. DE
    2. S
    3. TE

  13. Gooberville Says:

Soft.. Time to move on. Team can’t count on him when we need him most. Talent means nothing if you can’t play.

  14. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

He’s a bust. Should hve kept Wright. If you want a pass catching, non-blocking tight end, at least get one who will show up and can catch. ASJ has butterfingers. But he really likes collecting that paycheck.

  15. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

And by the way, you couldn’t trade him for an 8th round pick.

  16. martinii Says:

Evans, McCoy, Mankins and probably half the guys on the team are 90% or less. Just put the big whimp on IR and trade or cut him next year. Draft a guy with balls.

  17. Kaput Says:

    Best ability is availability.

    He does not have it.

  18. pelbuc Says:

Terrible waste of a 2nd round pick. Looks like Tarzan plays and acts like Jane. ASJ is a joke. No heart, no interest.

  19. Wesley Says:

    wimp plain and simple.

  20. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m defensed him in the past, but this is getting silly. Get your arse on the field and help your teammates!!!

  21. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    * I’ve defended him

  22. Tom Edrington Says:
