Buccaneers 45, Eagles 17

No, you’re not dreaming. You beloved Buccaneers ripped off 523 yards of offense this afternoon in Philadelphia, silencing a rowdy, cold Eagles crowd and marching to a 5-5 record.

Fire up the playoff talk, thanks to a stunning display by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, Doug Martin and friends.

The Bucs’ mauling offensive line owned the line of scrimmage most of the day. And everything was firing on offense, outside of a sloppy stretch of penalties and a couple of fumbles. And you just know Lovie Smith will be raving about two interceptions by Lavonte David.

Just imagine what’ll happen when Jameis has a truly healthy Vincent Jackson and a tight end not named Cameron Brate to throw to!

Remember, Joe asked Lovie Smith to explain himself this week when he talked about achieving “peak performance” in November, and what he meant last year when he said November is when real football is played.

Now we all know what Lovie really meant. We all saw it today.

Savor it.

And for those scoreboard watching, Atlanta lost and the Bucs are just a game behind them with the tiebreaker edge in hand.

  8. WalkdaPlank Says:

Last week I called out Lovie and his team for not having a dominant win, for just skating by. Well this one was the epitome of DOMINANT. Congrats Jameis, congrats Dougie, congrats LVD, and congratulations Lovie. I don’t really like you, but you got it done today. Never saw my Bucs at 5-5 this season.

HAHAHA! There is NO SPIN and we’ll be here to shut it down like we always do!! The “non-sensical” radicals will be SILENT FOR ANOTHER WEEK!!

  20. MIke Johnson Says:

I said in previous postings all week long..if our D played decent, we would ..clobber the Eagles. This team under Lovie (who many hate), has really improved. Jameis is relentless. Our O line and Martin continue to improve.
We can beat the Colts in Indy. Dare we say..3 in a row?
    GO GET’EM BUCS!!

  21. Red86 Says:

    Bucs dominated someone!! Nice!

  22. Eric Says:

    We must fire Lovie Smith!

  23. Arealbucsfan Says:

We can wim the rest of our schedule if we keep playing like this! GO BUCS!!

  24. Whocares92 Says:

What an incompetent win by loser Lovie Smith. He’s so incompetent and passive. Did I mention he’s incompetent?

  25. Couch Fan Says:

Well I was wrong. Lovie proved that he is capable of leading his team to consecutive victories. Impressive. Still dont believe in him but now he’s got me thinking. Let’s see another win. Make me a believer!!! Great job Bucs. 2nd place in the division and a wildcard spot is clearly in view. GO BUCS!!!

  26. Bobby Says:

Huge difference with Jude and Sterling as CB’s. Our defense is so much better. Our O-line is dominant. Awesome game on both sides of ball.

YOU KNOW IT BABY!! Let’s talk about how he PULLED OUT THAT HUGE WANG AND COCK SLAPPED Chip Kelly in his own HOUSE!!! Great complete team win!! I haven’t been this HARD SINCE 2002!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  28. Buccfan37 Says:

The Bucs just kicked ass and took names. Excellent overall effort.

  29. D-Rome Says:

Lovie Smith said the wins would come. He was right! The Bucs were awesome today and I haven’t used that word referencing the Bucs in a number of years.

  30. Soggy Says:

523 yards of offense, maybe this will be the turning point, Good all around game and coaching, Now that is something to build on..lol

  31. Ray Rice Says:

The big F U to those who cried for Chip!

  32. Razor Ramone Says:

Wow!!! Had a pretty good feeling going in, never expected this. Shut the whole stadium up. Somewhere Joe Jurivicious is smiling.

  33. Dave Says:

I refuse to read any post the next couple days because I don’t want to come across one of the idiot asinine JW or Lovie haters.
I want to wallow in that victory. It was awesome.
This team is going to be s major contender next year!

  34. JAB83 Says:

    Listen UP!!!!

You gotta take winning like you take losing…. Don’t get to high or to low… Stay focused…. I know many of you will be in disbelief with this win but take my word for it…. Its just ONE win… Personally I am already over it…. What you saw today is simply the results of good coaching and player execution…. We can expect this from a good team playing a team that is poorly coached team with even poorer player execution….

    It
    Really
    Is
    As Simple as That!!!!

Winning is a formality of great preparation… As One Love and I have been informing all of you…. This team has excellent leadership and coaching and it all starts with Lovie freaking Smith!!!!

  35. Brent Says:

Gotta revise my 6-10 prediction. 8-8 no losing season this year!! Maybe 9-7. Hard to believe for a 2-14 last year. One thing I see is we can compete with almost everybod. Maybe 5 teams out of our league. Az, ne, boys with romo, pack with Nelson, panthers. Other than that, feel like we gotta shot.

  36. Brent Says:

    Draft:

    De, cb, safety, ol

Resign Vjax, add a wr in fa…

  37. Jbeachbuc Says:

Great great great great win! But I’m a little worried about one thing, can we at least franchise doug this off-season ?

  38. John McKillop Says:

Hey Joe, what’s wrong with Cameon Brate, all he does is catch the damn ball when it’s thrown his way.

  39. Samsung Says:

Great win, Jameis makes every one around him better. That is what an elite QB does.

  40. buccfan305 Says:

Now that’s how you play “Buc Ball”…. That’s the Bucs that I’m use to seeing on the field each week…keep everthing in front of you, then hustle to the ball and make a play/tackle….Jameis had 5 TD’S and Doug Martin Rushed for 225 I believe. …. defense had 3 picks and 1 to the house…..ladie and gentlemen……that is Buc Ball !!! Lets keep it up and be consistent…… GO BUCS!!!

  41. Skydancer3 Says:

As a Nole fan I am clearly biased, but I do want to point out a few things that have yet to be mentioned.
Last week Winston gave a very empowered pre-game speech, and then he followed up the win with a kick a $$ “we got this”, motivational, in-your-face … you get the idea, lol. Point is that Jameis has slowly climbed the ladder of leadership. He has lead by example instead of forcing his way upon others. He has one of the most infectious personalities that I have ever seen, and people just naturally gravitate to his positive attitude and energy. IMO this has also carried over to the coaching staff too, as they seem a bit easier to laugh, trust Jamies and the O on 4th downs… Lovie has even been caught smiling. 🙂
This team is finally beginning to gel, and it is coming from several angles. These guys need to be hunger, they needed to find intensity, and they needed their MOJO back.
Next step: qualify for playoffs #go bucs

  42. Dave Says:

    JOHN
I agree. Brate is good. He may not be a beast with speed like ASJ, but I think they found something with him.
    And Humphries.
Of course A LOT of credit goes to Winston.

  43. grafikdetail Says:

Jameis Winston has 19 total TDs (15 passing, 4 rushing) this year. Marcus Mariota has 14 total TDs. Bucs will be 5-5. Titans 2-8. #RightDecision

  44. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

It was a damn impressive win…kudos to the entire team (yes that includes the HC too). I won a couple lunches from arrogant Eagles fans at work too…priceless!

  45. godzilla13 Says:

Today was a turning point for this team. Finally back to back wins. How many of you were ready to throw in the towel after that first turnover where Jacquies Smith fumbled the ball and the Eagles went on to score? Not on this day. On a day that things started wrong, everything went right. Red zone deficiencies? Where? I admit the defense had a few moments but Jameis Winston and this offense were not going to be outscored. A great victory. This team could actually make some noise this year! One more thing, I don’t want to hear a negative word about Lovie or the Eagles being a “bad team”.

  46. Warren Says:

Speaks volumes that the haters like the so called Realist and others won’t post when we win…even when we win like this! You are NOT fans so anything you say from now on is hereby dismissed. Kiss off

  47. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

I’m wit you when you right Warren…

  48. orlbucfan Says:

I am still rubbing my eyes and ears. You mean the Tampa Bay Bucs are showing tell-tale signs of having an all-star offense??????????? Are you kiddin’ me?????????? I’ve followed this soap opera of a team for 36 years. We NEVER had an all-star offense! NEVER!! We won the Stupor Bowl w/the league’s best defense, terrific special teams, and an offense that made sure it scored a little and didn’t turn the ball over. This offense……………..??? Humphries had a good day. Muscle Hamster had a GREAT day. Lavonte is getting his mojo back. Winston, I am numb w/shock. I said 8-8. Hey, 10-6, why the F**k not??! Go Mighty Bucs!!

  49. softastissueMcCoy93 Says:

Great performance both defense and offense

  50. Justin Says:

Was at the game in Philly today for my first ever Bucs game and holy hell was that awesome. And Jameis giving a little kid his jersey before entering the tunnel was absolutely awesome. We’re finally getting to play meaningful games in November/December.

  51. DavidBigBucFan Says:

Warren I was going to say the same exact thing you said. Not one post from thos clowns. They’d rather bash and hate on Lovie and call him names than to root for `their` Bucs and talk about the good things this team. I couldn’t keep track of the game so when I saw 45-17, 521 yards , the Fameis dropped plucked the birds with 5 tds no ints, Lavante back to his beast mode self and McCoy getting 1 1/2 sacks and not one good comment by the Cry Me A River Gang! This was the most perfect team win I’ve seen in years. It’s not very funny that these clowns come up here call Lovie incompetent and other names then other sheep pisters come in and do the same using the same names. They must be Tea Party members! They have the nerve to call us who continue to give him a chance sheep. He has been stubborn has made some bad decisions but has never deserved those names. I hope if they
Come up here trying to point out what Lovie didn’t do right on ANY of the stories everybody tells them S H U T T U P P !!!!!!
