Your No. 4 Receiver Is…

There are a few things Joe would lay cash on based on four preseason games:

* The Bucs still need help on the offensive line.

* The Bucs have a new kicker.

* America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston is your starting quarterback.

* Your No. 4 receiver is Adam Humphries.

With the No. 4 and No. 5 slots at wide receiver wide open entering the game, partially because Kenny Bell and Kaelin Clay are both injured, the No. 4 slop was there for the taking.

Humphries easily was the top receiver of the night. He had four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown, with his longest catch being 27 yards.

It sure seemed like Humphries won the gig. Kind of hard to gift an injured player with that honor.

Better be Humphries!!! I told you all, watch out for this kid as soon as we picked him up.

  2. Bird Says:

UCF boy Rannell hall is better than clay and just as good returner. Momma call him clay , I’m gonna call him clay. That boy good and terrible.

  3. ChanEpic Says:

Humphries has looked like a man amongst boys out there tonight for sure.

  4. MadMax Says:

Im for Hall over Clay too.

  5. Waterboy Says:

Hall and Shepherd have both been solid in preseason also. I haven’t seen much from Bell or Clay.

  6. MadMax Says:

Bell has a hamstring injury….but trust me, when healthy he’s good.

  7. Pelbuc Says:

Humphries has a little Wes Welker in him. Bucs desperately need Oline and Dline upgrade. RB James is so much better than Sims.

  8. MadMax Says:

    @Pelbuc, agreed…..James over Simms easily!

  9. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Humphries and Hall need to be on this team. Mike James too.

  10. MadMax Says:

Heads up, Tim Jennings is a Buc, per Licht!

  11. cmurda Says:

I was on that too Mad Max. You can’t tell me he doesn’t have the tools of and looks of Wes Welker. I singled him out as a bright spot after our 1st preseason game. Really like the effort, speed, and hands of this guy.

  12. Wesley Says:

Pretty sure Shepherd is the number four.

  13. cmurda Says:

    Whoa did we get Jennings?

  14. destro44 Says:

I love this Humphries kid. He is a football player even if he should be bagging groceries if you look at him on paper. He’s not fast, he’s small but he gets it done.

I’ve also been saying James is our best all around back, he might not be explosive, but best back at all phases.

  15. Danr Says:

THAT WAS a ROUGH kick from barth. WHILE light is talking about how much he likes the new Kicker. wow.

  16. Getaclue Says:

    He’s our cole bealey

  17. Nuc if u Buc Says:

Hall had a better all around audition, I think Hump will practice squad, or they may both stick, Hall really shined with Winston in camp also, and made plays against a 1st team D in the 2nd game which Hump can’t say

  18. unbelievable Says:

Hall needs to make this team. Kid is tough and comes up big in the clutch.

  19. SOEbuc Says:

It kinda sucks because I’ve liked the play from Shepard, hall, and Humphries this preseason. We shall see

  20. Hunter Says:

@Bird – slow golf clap. Great CTA pull there. Still laughing.
