Johnthan Banks talks to Joe after the game about his knee and the Bucs’ woes

Exhale, Bucs fans, cornerback Johnthan Banks just told Joe that he’s fine. His first-quarter left knee injury won’t hold him back.

But Banks had more to say about what caused it and his team’s problems.

“I’m fine. I was hoping to get back in, but we got three other guys,” Banks said in the somber Bucs locker room. “Ain’t no sense of me going out there if you’re not 100 percent. Bad break, bad plant. Toe got stuck in the ground. Tried to pivot out. I don’t know. I think it was the turf.”

Banks said he believes the Bucs were the better team today but killed themselves.

“We just gotta get it together, man, gotta learn how to win these type of games.” Banks said.

Stick with Joe for plenty more from Houston.

great, know the excuse is ryan mallet ejaculated on the turf before game day to give the texans the edge.

I was thinking before the game that the newly installed plastic turf might be troublesome. Home edge I guess.

Did sticky turf make Winston go 1-13 on third downs?

  4. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Did sticky turf cause Winston to complete only 47% of his passes?

Does everyone in the league knows mike Jenkins sucks besides lovie smfh he clearly was the number one person picked on when banks left the game….and @flboyindallas you can only blame Jameis for leading the wr’s his qbr would have been a helluva lot better if half the team didn’t fricking play in butter during pre game lets be real there. I think he did good with the likes of Cushing, clowney, watt and wilfork…etc. be optimistic any other rookie would have handed them the game. I’m sure licht wanted Tim wright and Patrick Murray today. Brindza no knock but I definitely think the turf was an issue today…
