Joe Talks Depression, Preparation, Play Calling, Jameis Bashing & More

September 16th, 2015

joe_mug_shotJoe dove into the steel cage this evening with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620.

There was plenty of hollering and passionate debate.

Enjoy!

    I wonder if senile pup would be as protective of the HC with the miserable Bucs record and opening performance if that HC’s name was Greg Schiano. We all know this guy has no integrity in his broadcasting and carrying water for Incompetent Lovie Smith is yet the latest in a long line of examples….”as far as that’s concerned”

  2. DrHoagy Says:

    Gave up listening to him a long time ago. Some opinions just don’t matter.

  3. DefenseRules Says:

    Back on Sept 8th, you penned an article Joe called ‘No Holding Back for Lovie’. You quoted Lovie as saying (in regards to the Bucs preparations and plan for the Titans):

    “As far as what we are going to throw, we are going to throw everything that we have,” Lovie said. “That is what we do each week. We aren’t going to save any ammunition or anything like that. It’s all out. Everything is about this Tennessee game. It’s about us being 1-0 after this first game. Again, we’re not going to hold any players out for the next week. Everything we have, the best we can be, we’re going to see this week.”

    Lovie’s words stand out: “Everything we have, the best we can be, we’re going to see this week.”

    Since I’ve got season tickets again this year, I sure hope the Titans game wasn’t ‘the best we can be’.

  4. Clodhopper Says:

    Hey, Winston reminded Big Dog of me. Thanks for the shout out Big Dog!

  5. This Guy Right Here Says:

    @DallasBuc,

    He’s definitely carrying Lovies water…

    Hell, the way he refused to accept that it all falls on Lovie, The ‘dean’ is carrying more than his water…

    He’s carrying Lovie’s warm Lovejuice up in his backdoor.

  6. This Guy Right Here Says:

    Btw Joes, you need to stop letting that guy punk you week in and week out… You guys make more valid points in 1 JoeBucsFan hour than ‘that guy’ does in decade (Im assuming, cause I never listen to his ass other than @5pm on Tuesdays)

  7. This Guy Right Here Says:

    What ever happened to the commish?? That dude Got It.. If WDAE could only show some mercy and put this old ass canine to sleep, and bring back the commish!

  8. Bucnut2 Says:

    This is very telling. Joe’s you guys are nuts. JW was supposed to be pro ready. Blaming Koetter for JW’s pick shows just how clueless you guys are. with Koetter’s record of developing QB’s which is more likely; Koetter can’t coach or we drafted the wrong guy. America’s QB in 3 years will be Canada’s qb. IF JW could play as well as he does press conferences, he would be a hall of famer.

  9. BrianBucs Says:

    The small puppy has no patience for Winston fanboys and enablers

  10. This Guy Right Here Says:

    @Bucnut,

    Youre out of your fckin mind. Calling Jameis out after just 1 game in the NFL??? Fck outta here…

    Lovie’s coached over 150 games in the NFL! (I just heard Herm Edwards say ‘Hello’??!)

    If youre gonna sht on someone, sht on the man who cant get it right after 150+ games in this league.

  11. Lakeland Buc Says:

    Depression? who in their right state of mind would get depress over a game that has grown men running around in tights? smh. It’s called a football game for a reason, it’s a game! It is entertainment, people need to quit getting emotionally involve in these petty games. There are far more serious events in life than a football game.

  12. Patrickbucs Says:

    If you guys think the Big Dog is uneducated I have to smh. C’mon listen to his program once in a while, maybe he is a bit old school but that’s ok. He wanted Marcus like I did any many others but he’s been good with Winston from what I’ve heard. I do disagree with he and Brooks as it takes time to learn a defense. There are many cases where they do not.

    Think of this for a moment, how many regional or national programs bring in guests to agree with their hosts on radio or tv?

  13. This Guy Right Here Says:

    @Lakeland Buc,

    I dont think JBF.com is the right site for you… Here, this might be more up your alley:

  14. BuccaneEric75 Says:

    This Guy Right Here, the commish has a Bucs podcast and has the Bucs Blitz website.

  15. This Guy Right Here Says:

    @Eric,

    Yup I found it. Just listened to his Uncensored & On Point take on Lovie & the D…

    The thing I loved most about the audio was how he started it off: “sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t sh!t!!” …so refreshing compared to THIS host trying to sound like a badass calling “bullspit” all the damn time!

    Lakeland Buc

    Keep the good info coming brother

  18. BuccaneEric75 Says:

    This Guy Right Here, LOL!!!

  19. BrianBucs Says:

    The last time the Bucs had an offensive minded head coach they won a Superbowl

  20. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

    Listned today and you all are right the yapper is clueless… i think he doesnt want to be deemed critical to a black coach period… he destroyed schiano stuck up for freeman, destroyed gruden stuck up for rah…and he is getting info from d brooks… lovie sucks as a head cosch… even stevie wonder can see that so lil pup should open his eyes too

  21. Lakeland Buc Says:

    BrianBucs, I wanted the Bucs to trade down for more picks. We have too many holes to fill, but instead they drafted Jameis. Then they drafted 2 o-linemen, linebacker, WR, WR, , fullback. I thought our biggest needs were at DE, RB and Safety. But they drafted none of them, if we could have got 4 picks for the 1st pick . Then we should have done it, we should have let Mike Glennon be the starter. And if Glennon fail then draft a QB in 2016. Why did we draft 2 WRs, that was a position of strength for us. Why draft a Fullback, we don’t play the fullback that we have. Why trade up to draft a linebacker? we should have resigned Mason Foster. Why trade a 5th rounder to Detroit for George Johnson, we should have drafted a DE in the 2nd round. Why trade up to pick Ali Marpet? we could have got decent o-linemen in the 3rd and 4th round.

  22. Bucnut2 Says:

    hey the guy right here- I’m not the one who said JW is “pro ready”. I am also not the guy who said he’s america’s QB. I will admit that I favored MM for exactly what we saw on Sunday. JW has slow release, bad footwork and is not very accurate. Those are facts. Sorry if you don’t like it but IF JW played college ball at the Ohio State most of us would be trash talking him right now. This is a text book case of homer bias. I hope he makes it because we now own him. Him busting will set us back 5 years. But blaming Koetter for his poor decisions is nothing but blame shifting.

  23. Lakeland Buc Says:

    But after we trade the pick for more picks, we should have drafted an O-Lineman in the 1st round. Then draft a DE and Safety in the 2nd, another O-Lineman in the 3rd. A RB and CB in the 4th, another DE and Safety in the 5th, another O-Lineman in the 6th. Another RB in the 7th. And have some picks for 2016.

  24. poor glennon Says:

    Winston will be playing baseball in 2017. One game my ace. He has looked horrible from day 1. That footwork is atrocious. If only he stayed at FSU to play baseball. Mariota and the Buc’s would have beat. Metenberger and the Titans.

  26. meat Says:

    @ This guy right here- they are both to blame- and sorry, I was in the anti-winston camp from day 1. His line was better in college- Byron Leftwich 2.0- and Lovie has sucked from day 1. He cant even manage timeouts as well as I can in freaking Madden.

  27. cmurda Says:

    Gentlemen, relax. If you want the coach fired or to pass the blame around this team like a hot potato, I’m with you. Throwing in the towel on Jameis after 1 game is borderline insanity. Nobody looked good in a Tampa Bay uniform on Sunday unless, of course, Rachel Watson was at the game in a Tampa Bay uniform.

  28. BucTired Says:

    Love it when you guys are on. But, yeah, I would totally listen to someone else for Bucs talk in this timeslot if there was an alternative. Wasn’t the best, but very sad when The Fan pulled the plug.
