Practice Video: Angry Gerald McCoy Storms Offensive Huddle, Jameis Winston Reacts

August 20th, 2015

McCoyJoe’s got exclusive practice video from today’s skirmish at One Buc Palace.

Watch Gerald McCoy march into the backfield after Clinton McDonald gets hot. This is a good one.

Lovie Smith huddled the Buccaneers after this incident.

Later, Joe will share close-up video of the play before this happened.

Bring some of that on Monday night. He must be showing off for sapp 99. We watching you big fella.

  2. unbelievable Says:

I love me some GMC, but would really love to see the attitude from him during games.

  3. Joe Cool Says:

This was all a stunt to get on BSPN later today during NFL Live. Bucs aren’t being talked about enough with the No. 1 pick.

  4. Jeagan1999 Says:

Gerald is too good a player to be stuck on a team with such a terrible offensive line. I’m sure he’s tired of the half-assed effort and went into the huddle to challenge those guys to step it up. GMC wants to win and he and LVD can’t do it all on their own! Unfortunately, we just don’t have the talent on the O-line to do much about it!

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Gerald frustrated from being beaten by Ali….

Like the fire…..just don’t break any jaws!!!

  6. buddhaboy Says:

Who is number 31, and why is gerald letting him push him back

  7. BuccoDav Says:

If you look closely at the end, GMC has a big sh!t eating grin on his face… I think he’s just stirring the pot.

  8. Capt.Tim Says:

Mccoy is an Elite talent, and has to be sick of half assed efforts from the rest.
He deserves so much better than he has gotten here.

If he is on half the teams in this league- the guy is the talk of the league. Here, career getting wasted in obscurity. Its a damn shame. One of the rare “decent People” playing In the NFL.
Hope he settled whatever the issue was.

Hows Tony MacDaniel looking? Gotta be close to starting beside McCoy!

  9. Ray Rice Says:

Rule #1 Aunt Geraldine…. If you’re going to fight someone during football practice leave your helmet on. Real smart. Also, I would love to see you have this type of fire when playing opposing teams, instead of helping them up off the ground after you got run over.

    Thank you,

    Raymond Rice

  10. Joe Says:

    Ray:

We don’t know if someone yanked GMC’s helmet off or not.

  11. TrueBuccaneersFan Says:

McCoy walks into that huddle and gets his helmet knocked off by somebody off camera. Winston picks it up and walks over and hands his helmet back to him. Who was it that hit McCoy in the head to knock his helmet off? It was not Marpet or Winston.

    #31 is Major Wright, btw.

  12. Tom Edrington Says:

It was scripted beforehand Vince McMahon.

  13. Buc Neckid Says:

#76 Smith holding onto #98 McDonald as Scrum breaks up
#74 Marpet holding onto #3 Winston getting him away from trouble
Defense resets back into their Huddle position
#93 McCoy goes angrily into O Huddle with a helmet on
#3 Winston tries to intercede with whatever #93 McCoy is about to do
(camera does not catch what happens next)
#93 McCoy walks back to D Huddle without a Helmet
    #3 Winston carries #93 McCoy’s Helmet into D Huddle
Gotta love that there is a Change occurring before our eyes
Our top three Rookies are playing prominantly ( and responsibly?) in this heated action

  14. Ray Rice Says:

    @JOE

You have video footage. You were there. I’m sure you would have mentioned that right off the bat. I’m also sure that would have been your headline. “Ali shows grit in scuffle with Gerald. Yanks his helmet off.”

  15. Ray Rice Says:

    @JOE

If you have video footage showing otherwise. I will stick by my assumption.

  16. Buc since '74 Says:

    Ray Rice:
“instead of helping them up off the ground after you got run over.”
    —————-
If Gerald is run over then how is he helping someone up off the ground? Isn’t Gerald on the ground if he got run over? If Gerald is helping someone up, isn’t that said person on the ground? The dynamics of your statement just don’t add up. Maybe I’m on the ground.

  17. Ray Rice Says:

Because of the hard impact the RB stumbles to the ground after trucking #93. But he stumbles to the ground after gaining positive yards. #93 being the gentleman that he is quickly gets up from the fetal position, helps the RB up, and pats him on the backside for a job well done.

  18. Buc since '74 Says:

Well now that makes complete sense.

  19. DB55 Says:

    Ray

Lmbo, the GENTLEman that he is…. Ha

  20. Ray Rice Says:

    👌

  21. Ray Rice Says:

    OH SHIIIIIIT! DB is back!

  22. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Yawnnnnnnnnn……………………

“Nothing to see here people”……………….move on

  23. Bobby Says:

How the heck does Ray Rice get on here? Isn’t there like a 14 or over limit for posting??

  24. buc4life1979 Says:

    @Joe
DAMMIT MAN!!! We were all looking to follow GMC thru the video as the headliner implies, but ur camera skills need SUM WORK.

  25. Destinjohnny Says:

93 is like Longoria – needs to show us more…. A lot more

  26. Ray Rice Says:

    @Bobby

Yes sir there is an age limit for posting. That’s why I have your wife post it for me. Have a wonderful day! I’ll be gone before you get home. By the way, you’re having spaghetti tonight. (I can’t believe she really typed this)

  27. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“DAMMIT MAN!!! We were all looking to follow GMC thru the video as the headliner implies, but ur camera skills need SUM WORK.”

    ——-

The camera was following McDonald, because he was the one involved. He was the one being held back. Nobody, including the rest of the defenders, even noticed McCoy was in the offensive huddle. That is, until his helmet got pushed off.

  28. Owlykat Says:

McCoy needs to gain some weight to stop the run, wash that juvenile red paint out of his hair, and get some sacks and some pressures like last year, and chill out!!! He is supposed to be the leader of the Defense and not a loose cannon.

  29. Lakeland Buc Says:

To be honest , I wanna see a lot of Henry Melton in the 3-Tech.

  30. BuccaneEric75 Says:

    Ray rice, lol!!!!
