Danny Lansanah Adds To Jameis Winston Lore

July 31st, 2015

Jameis Bajakian

Underdog 30-year-0ld starting strongside linebacker Danny Lansanah knows a lot about working hard for what he has.

The guy was out of football and playing minor league football for another shot to make it in the NFL, which came with the Bucs two years ago.

Lansanah arrived at One Buc Palace today for training camp and praised the work ethic of America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

Lansanah offered a peek behind the scenes of spring practices. It seems when the team was finished with meetings and workouts, Jameis was just getting rolling.

“We were done. [Jameis] was still out there with his coach four hours later, you know, working on the pads, going through his progressions,” Lansanah said. “So, you know, that speaks volumes of the young guy.”

Jameis also is comfortable leader, Lansanah said. And like most Buccaneers you ask about Jameis, he smiled upon hearing his name.

Joe’s never seen anything like that. Just the mention of “Jameis” — for now — evokes displays of happiness from 90 percent of his teammates, even guys who didn’t suffer through miserable play by Josh McCown last year.

The Bucs’ first practice is tomorrow afternoon. The preseason kicks off in Minnesota in just 15 short days.
