“America’s Quarterback” has a life outside of football.
Joe just cannot believe how nuts some Bucs fans are. They whine all the time how the likes of BSPN won’t give the Bucs any attention — frankly, teams that finish 2-14 should get zero national attention other than to be mocked on a daily basis — and once the team gets a superstar and a national celebrity, all of a sudden it is horrible and the guy should be locked in Lovie’s Chicago basement until training camp.
Calm down!
Joe’s good friends over at TheBigLead.com unearthed a video of “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, escorting a lovely lass to her car at a Los Angeles hotspot. Jameis even had the nerve to open the door for the lady, as all gentlemen should.
All of a sudden, too many Bucs fans are ready to jump off a bridge as a result.
What’s the matter with you people? So Jameis isn’t allowed to go out at night? Or is it he shouldn’t be seen with a girl? It’s OK for Jameis to hang with Magic Johnson, David Letterman, Dick Vitale, but God forbid he escorts a lovely lass to her car.
Grow up.
No, Joe has no idea who this chick is, never heard of her before, and Joe doesn’t care what she does for a living. This nonsense that a player cannot go out and enjoy himself on his own time is outrageous. It’s not like Jameis was hammered and had to be dragged out of a bar or was fighting with someone. He escorted a lady to her ride and opened the door for her.
The nerve!
For those who believe NFL players should be monks, chained to their playbook and locked in a prison is beyond the pale.
And buckle up folks, if you don’t like “America’s Quarterback” getting attention, you are going to have a rough few years ahead of you.
Now try to tell Joe what is so heinous about this video? Joe is starting to think people have such empty lives, they want everyone else to be home-bound with their mother.

I’m a huge Winston supporter, and he’s not really doing anything wrong in this video. That being said, given that he has a girlfriend and is a high-profile athlete (with a checkered past), it worries me that he’s being caught in situations like this. He’s got to learn to avoid them completely to prevent any kind of speculation.

Some girl who thinks she’s famous got her car door opened by Jameis Winston, and then drove off. Am I missing something? Pretty safe to say that’s where her relationship with Jameis ended. And if not, who the hell cares? Good for both of them. Why would anyone here care about his situation with his girlfriend? That’s their business. All that matters is that (so far) he’s been everything we could want from our franchise QB. His personal life is his business, not yours.

The archives will show that I was NOT in favor of drafting Winston (or Mariota), but I AM a Buccaneer fan. Winston is a Buccaneer, so until he does something (as a Buccaneer) that embarrasses his team, *I* will be rooting for him (and every other player) to be the best thing since sliced bread.
The kid is doing all of the right things. It could be worse, the Bucs could have listened to Joe before last years’ draft. :^)

This young lady (Draya) is/was dating Orlando Scandrick from the cowgirls. Other sites say Draya & Jameis were flirting with each other in the club all night. She is pretty popular & probably freaked out once she realized that the paparrazzi caught wind of their flirting. She made Jameis look bad by making the door gesture a big deal… Winston will learn to focus on football one way or another. I hope this will help humble him.

Seems like she changed her tune in front of the media-not wanting to bring national attention to the evening. For all we know she may have a boyfriend who is not in favor of her being linked with other guys. I saw this yesterday and I knew the haters will pile on. My opinion on this? Its none of my business or yours. Jameis’ personal life is his own business. We don’t know the particulars of the relationship with Breezy Boo. Hell, for all we know they have an open relationship. Many people do that before settling down and getting married.
And oh my god, he opened the door for a lady…the scandal!
Bottom line, it’s none of our business. It doesn’t effect him on the field. Doesn’t put the team in a bad light (he’s not making it rain like Johnny Football) – its his personal business.

For all those inside “Capital Circle” – and the Jameis fanboys – this is what the rest of the NFL was concerned about drafting someone with Winston’s particular issues.
The media isn’t “hating” on Winston, they’re reporting on the fodder he’s giving them.
If he doesn’t grow up, he can expect to face this the rest of his career.
