Jameis Winston Jersey Sales Skyrocket

So many Jameis Winston haters had their panties all knotted up when a Titans official, in mid-May, told BSPN that Marcus Mariota had the No. 1 selling jersey in the NFL.

Well, the final May results are in from NFLShop.com and Mariota won the month. But guess who was No. 2, ahead of Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick, respectively? That would be America’s Quarterback, the Bucs’ young Jameis.

Given how Jameis has been vilified nationally and nastily painted as a sociopath — that’s Jameis’ choice of adjective– Joe finds it pretty impressive that Jameis is so popular.

And Joe is confident Jameis would have led the NFL in May if Team Glazer had paid for Joe’s assistance in selling jerseys. Maybe next month.

Joe can only imagine how many Jameis jerseys will fly off the shelves if the Bucs actually win a home game again at the Den of Depression.

    I got my Winston jersey!

  2. Luther Says:

Very impressive. I’m surprised given that espn had already convicted him. I wonder where all those pickets are.

  3. Ray Rice Says:

The great Ricky Bobby says: “If you ain’t first you’re last.”….. Fuk jersey sales! Just win JDubb!

  4. Jeff Says:

Maybe if the unis weren’t generally hideous-looking, he would be No. 1.

  5. Supersam Says:

Sounds like thats how the future will always go, Mariota number one Winston number 2 lol. Except of course the Buccaneers going against all common knowledge and sense and taking Winston over Mariota. SMH

  6. BuccaneEric Says:

The question is, did 87 get his!?!?

  7. Mumbles Says:

    Got mine!

  8. bucs4lyfe Says:

    @Supersam

you can always go start joetitansfan.com and rid us of your silly hate…samtitansfan just wouldn’t has the same ring to it

  9. RachelWatson'sthong Says:

Have you seen the way the Glazer triplets dress? Straight out of Montgomery Ward’s dress for success collection. They wouldn’t know what looks good if it slapped em in their mottled faces. Good thing they are billionaires or they would still be virgins. (if they aren’t). Although recent teams have not deserved to wear the Championship Uni’s.

Common Knowledge? By who? 90% of the journalist, sport analyst, and broadcasters picked Winston over Mariota. You come on here with butthurt comments that you make up. Give it up man or become a Titan’s fan, because he’s a Buccaneer now. Get with it or walk the plank.

  11. Eric Says:

Man the Glazer’s must be so unhappy with all the protests and adverse publicity, and the throngs of people who gave up season tickets…………..

  12. Leonard Scarnesi Says:

Who cares? Why does JOE care? Does it matter at all? Doubt if anyone other than JOE got his panties knotted. Maybe JOE’s good friend did, you know, the afternoon drive guy.

  13. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

Are we talking about the Titans draft pick contract holdout?

Seriously, it’s not a big deal, but we know the hypocrites would criticize Jameis if it were him.

  14. Waterboy Says:

Only reason I haven’t purchased my Winston jersey yet is because I really hate those uniforms. I might have to settle for a throwback.

  15. Waterboy Says:

    @Love and Warrick Dunn
You’re absolutely right it would be front page sports news if it was Winston holding out or dragging out contract negotiatIons.

  16. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Lets hope 87 gets his size 4XXX jersey…….to hide those breasts…..and, of course his big, big heart!!!

  17. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I won’t be buying any jerseys until we get nicer ones…but I will buy Winston toy figures, bobble heads and all that cool stuff 🙂

  18. Buc1987 Says:

I’m still waiting on that jersey, but atleast we made contact with eachother, he asked about the size, type and my shipping address. Progress made and fingers crossed.

    I have faith in Erik.

  19. Buc1987 Says:

Leonard Scarnesi …Joe cares because like he stated in the article. A few fans made a big deal about Mariotta selling more jersey’s than Jameis. Hence the article.

  20. American Sports Legacy Says:

This is comical to me. I think Winston and Mariotta will both be game changers for their respective teams. Hopefully James keeps his off the field personality in check and remains professional. Love that the competition between both quarterbacks!

  21. ARGH_M8E Says:

I bought the Winston 3 SHIRT… What’s the shirt count?!
QUICK!!!!!! Count the shirts everybody, COUNT the #%$@ing SHIRTS!!!

  22. Harry Says:

    Supersam: “America’s Ultimate Troll”

    @87,
Dude, keep us posted on that jersey from Eric. Has he been on here since the Bucs drafted Jameis?

  23. Roscoe the Pirate Says:

Given how Jameis has been vilified nationally and nastily painted as a sociopath – that’s Jameis’ choice of adjective–

Well sociopath is a noun, so I guess you must be referring to the adjective preceding that which would be nastily. Way to go Jameis, into the big words now!

I’m still unpicking the 23 from my Mark Barron jersey to move the 3 into the middle and make my own Jameis jersey. Never going to wear those new uniforms, go yuks!

  24. NorthernBuc Says:

I think the Jameis jersey would have been number one if the Bucs new uniforms did not suck so bad- and likely no throwback this year because of the silly helmet rule

  25. WalkdaPlank Says:

“Joe asks: Does this mean actual sales of jerseys to fans, or just orders to stores in Oregon and Hawaii and throughout Tennessee hoping to sell jerseys? There’s a big difference. Without that info, Joe is unimpressed.

Show Joe real numbers after a few months.

Regardless, Joe doesn’t care about jersey sales. Jameis has been a villain through much of the country for years now. For those yearning to compare apparel sales of quarterbacks, that would limit his jersey sales on a national scale.”

I guess jersey sales only matter if Jameis Christ is doing well in them. Of course if the Glazer twins hadn’t ingested an insane amount of MDMA before signing off on the new clown suits…err, I mean uniforms….Winston would be leading in sales.

  26. Buc1987 Says:

Who in the hell WANTS to buy one of these ugly jersey? I hope Erik for one.

My wife wants an Evans jersey REAL bad. I told her the jersey’s are hideous and give him atleast another season after I got suckered in and asked for a Muscle Hamster jersey for Christmas during his rookie year.

Now I just want Dougie to break out again. For the sake of our team and my jersey.

  27. WalkdaPlank Says:

87 I want Dougie Fresh to break out because it’s a running joke between me and my non-football buddies. They know I love the Bucs but the only player they can name is the “Muscle Hamster”. They don’t even know his real name it’s hilarious.

“Hey did the Bucs win this week?”

    “Nah, man.”

“Yea, probably cuz the coach didn’t give Muscle Hamster the ball.”

    🙂

  28. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I don’t know what I’m more sick of: people complaining about the “America’s QB” thing, or people complaining about the new jerseys? It’s like you’re a bunch of women, worrying about what people say, or clothing. If you don’t like the jerseys, don’t buy them. But stop b!tching about it every chance you get, like a 10 year old girl. Do you have any idea how girly you sound? Geez! They aren’t going anywhere, so get over it. It’s freaking clothing. I could give a sh!t less what they wear, just win some damn football games. On a team with so much to complain about over the last 10 years, the way the stupid jerseys look shouldn’t be on any grown man’s list.

  29. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Next up, some of you are going to start complaining about the hair of the players. Maybe you should worry about who they are dating too. I just don’t get how any of this crap even matters.

  30. Buccos Says:

Im buying a Lavonte David uniform. He has already proven himself. We need to get him signed to a long term deal soon. He should be devastating his second year in the Tampa2.

“On a team with so much to complain about over the last 10 years, the way the stupid jerseys look shouldn’t be on any grown man’s list.”

This a thread about jersey’s right? Could that be why people once again are talking about how ugly the jersey is? Could be.

Lots to complain about over the last 10 years, the ugly ass jersey is just the cherry on top.

  32. WalkdaPlank Says:

    Hawaiian

Come to think of it, I don’t like Jameis’ fro. It reminds me of Freeman and it is not befitting of a man in his position. He is Jameis Christ, our lord and savior, the football Messiah. I think he should grow out his hair and wear it down, and grow and nice long beard.

P.S the jerseys suck and he isn’t America’s Quarterback, he is God’s Quarterback.

  33. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    LMAO!

  34. Buccos Says:

That is sacrilege and you may burn in hell or he really is a football messiah, who will lead us to the promised land.

  35. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

Beat at the Rose Bowl. Beat on Jersey sales. Beat in the first game of the year.

    Poor Winston.

  36. Buc1987 Says:

Won a national championship. Won a Heisman. Only lost 1 game in college career. Beat the hell out of the Titans on week 1.

    It’s great to be Famous!

  37. Josh P Says:

is anyone really surprised by Mariota being ahead of Jameis?? He has a whole damn state and his NFL fan base where Jameis has just his NFL fan base, and Bessemer, AL if you want to include the small town he is from.

  38. Pick6 Says:

What’s amazing is that the 2 top selling jerseys in the NFL are from the teams with the 2 most arena football looking uniforms
