Titans Will Embrace Jameis Winston Privately

March 19th, 2015

jameis 1026How dare the Tennessee Titans invite the heir apparent to the Tampa Bay throne to their Nashville facility for a private workout!

And Jameis Winston accepted, per ProFootballTalk.com and 24/7 Sports.

Speculation in the ProFootballTalk.com piece claims this indicates Winston has not been assured by the Buccaneers that they will draft him No. 1 overall. The Titans own the No. 2 overall pick.

Joe finds that almost ludicrous.

If Joe were running the Bucs, Joe would want Winston to visit all kinds of teams and coaches. What a fantastic learning experience for Winston. And it can serve as another test of Winston’s ability to stay out of trouble while traveling the country.

Great. Let Ken Whisenhunt push Winston to the limit on the field and in the classroom. Beautiful.

You make good points here Joe.

My only concern I guess; and it’s not a good one necessarily is that if he’s coming to Tampa and I am the franchise owner; I don’t want the extra wear and tear on his arm or shoulder if I can help it (if I know I’m picking him). What do you think of that? All those high torque throws stacked a day before or after a pro day – also could the titans schedule his workout before his pro day so he could lose worse in his pro day from fatigue of workout and travel and fall to them? All part of the chess match I would bet.

  2. Curtis Gatorboy Says:

    THEY CAN KEEP THIS POS!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Babaloo Says:

Clint, the only arm problem he’s going to have is if he also plays baseball. He’s a pitcher if you didn’t know

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

No prob……smart and right thing to do for both the player & team…..no harm done….a few extra throws won’t hurt Winston….as long as it’s not a baseball…

  5. Buc1987 Says:

Which he’s already stated NUMEROUS times that football is is life now.

  6. WS99 Says:

  7. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

What throne? The Bucs have never had a franchise QB.

  8. jfat Says:

I think PFT is probably right and he hasn’t been assured yet. Why does he need more practice interviewing for jobs? Is he going to visit knowing he is going to the Bucs and just lie to the Titans about it? Seems like a waste of time if that’s the case.

Why not keep him here, get him rested and in the playbook? There are plenty of NFL types at OBP he can get his learning experience from.

  9. Coburn Says:

Not a huge Winston fan, but what exactly was he supposed to do? He was supposed to turn them down because Lovie pinkie sweared him that he would be picked #1?

  10. Buc1987 Says:

If he had turned them down, I would bet my house on it that some idiot would be in here saying : “Ya see how cocky this a-hole is, he won’t even visit the Titans, and that’s another “read flag”.”

  11. Buc1987 Says:

  12. Buc1987 Says:

The again some idiot is going to say the fact that he IS visiting the Titans is another “red flag”. That he really doesn’t want to play for the Bucs.

    Just give it time…

    Someone will come along. 🙂

  13. jfat Says:

Good points Coburn… If he was assured, he would be signed.

I’m so tired of the QB debate I don’t care who gets picked anymore, but, it is pretty clear the Bucs aren’t 100% go on either QB yet.

  15. Waterboy Says:

You’ve got that right. There will always be someone out there that will try to put a negative spin on just about anything that he does.

This is rather insane. He’s not going to wear out over a pro day. He’s going to be throwing the ball plenty all summer, all season, all the time. It’s not an issue. Never has been, never will be.

  17. TeeBeeFan Says:

@Buc1987, it is a red flag that he is interested in the Titans. Bucs should look elsewhere. 🙂

Seriously though, you are right. No matter what either Winston or Mariota do, they will get criticism from the other’s gang.

If I am Jameis, unless I have a contract in front of me that I am ready to sign, I go visit the Titans. To my knowledge, the Bucs have not extended any offer to him yet. So he is doing what any smart person would do in the same position.

  18. WS99 Says:

Be prepared to hear another name called at 8p on April 30. I don’t want you to pull a Tedford on us bro.

  19. Ben Says:

If it’s all about family, then Tennessee is a pretty good option. While I’m sure Winston wants to go #1 overall, I’m sure he’d also like to be 200 miles from home (Tampa is 3x further from Hueytown AL).

  20. Armando Says:

Curtis Gatorboy – every postof yours is just a reminder of what low class frog crap Gators fans are

  21. Johnny Football Says:

    JW is a bust……

    J Manziel

  22. Jeagan1999 Says:

In 2012 Everyone knew that the Colts were going to select Andrew Luck with the first pick. RGIII, the next highest ranked QB even turned down a visit to Indy because there was really no point in it. I think the situation here today is different. While Winston is a talented QB, I don’t know that he (or Mariota for that matter) is considered the same kind of slam-dunk talent that Luck was coming out of Stanford. Therefore I think it’s wise for him (and Mariota) to visit any team in the top 10-20 that are interested in having them. It’s also smart for the teams…since no one knows for sure what the Bucs will do at #1! The Bucs might take Winston at #1…or the Titans might be so impressed with him that they offer a few extra picks to the Bucs to trade down one spot! It just goes to show that ALL THE OPTIONS are still on the table at this point!

  23. Andrew 1 Says:

How many times have we heard about prospects being guaranteed by a team that they will draft them, and then it doesn’t happen? You hear it all the time. Even though its safe to assume the bucs will draft Winston, there are never any guarantees, unless the bucs made it official now. But why would they? It would only take some of the luster out of the first pick on draft day, and the NFL is nothing without drama, hate to say.

  24. Clint Says:

@Babaloo: of course I knew that. The thing is QB’s have ‘pitch counts’ too. You just don’t hear them talked about.

  25. salish_seamonster Says:

Every time I hear the phrase “If Joe were running the Bucs…” I cringe at the thought.

  26. Buc1987 Says:

WS99…no worries. I’m a Bucs fan. I can live with misery.

  27. Buc1987 Says:

    Singing : “It SUCKS…to be….a Florida Gaytor.”

    “It SUCKS….to be….A Florida Gaytor.”

  28. Couch Fan Says:

I thought nobody else was interested in Winston but us? LoL

And of course Winston hasen’t been assured anything. It would be extremely stupid to assure him of anything at this point in time. I still believe that nobody (except Lovie/Licht and maybe a couple more people) will know anything until draft night.

  29. Uranus Johnson Says:

The fresh prince of petulance is throwing a hissy fit which is an indication of how immature that this dude is. He embarrasses the NFL with the announcement that he won’t attend the draft and now throwing a tantrum because the Bucs brought in Mariotta. The best option is to trade the pick because Famous jameis is a catastrophe waiting to happen. It is even money that he won’t even be able to get to training camp before getting into trouble if he comes to Tampa.

  30. Couch Fan Says:

87 I love ya bro but I can assure you it doesnt suck to be a Florida Gator. LoL

We are winning championships left and right, both the men in women in multiple sports. Unlike FSU that can’t win anything outside of football.

This advertisement has been brought to you by the Proud men and women of Gator Nation.

Oh and welcome to Tampa, Jameis!

  31. Curtis Gatorboy Says:

Why are you rude tools attacking the Gators?

  32. Buc1987 Says:

LOL Couch….football is ALL that matters to me these days. You can keep baseball(FSU usually does pretty good) and basketball (most of the good players head to N.C. anyways.)

FSU fans know that song well. It’s what we sang in the stands back in the 90’s.

  33. Nybucsfan Says:

Joe you need to leave it alone you try to turn everything he does into a positive. Your obsession is really getting sick. Every day it’s the same thing

  34. Buc1987 Says:

Curtis…you disrespect the Gaytors every time you post something.

Couch Fan can back me up on that….as well as the rest of JBF.

  35. Drew Says:

@Joe… still no love for MM. What will you do if they call MM’s name on Draft Day? It’s a possibility. High character guy with all the tools, developed and undeveloped to become the face of the franchise and a franchise QB. Sounds GREAT to me!

  36. Buc1987 Says:

Look at this tool calling people tools.

Joe how long before he gets a ban?

Does he actually have to say the N word?

  37. SteveBucsFan Says:

    I am with 87…

    Gatorboy is a colossal tool!!!

  38. WS99 Says:

“now throwing a tantrum because the Bucs brought in Mariotta.”

    Please explain, what tantrum?

  39. Drew Says:

We can all be extremely Thankful Joe isn’t running the Bucs.

  40. Andrew 1 Says:

Why Joe doesn’t shut the guy up, is beyond me. Its clear he’s adding nothing of value to this site and is just trying to piss people off. Yawn… got to do better than that Gatorboy.

  41. Buc1987 Says:

Drew …no doubt we’d be stuck with Johnny Football right now.

Then again we would have never drafted Freeman….

  42. Buc1987 Says:

  50. JBuc Says:

Curtis Gatorboy: so I guess it’s okay that your Gators had/have an accused rapist on their roster by the name of Treon Harris?

  51. bucrightoff Says:

I’ll give you $50 to post your meltdown when they select Mariota 87. I mean can’t lose situation for you right? Either they get Winston or you get $50.

  52. JBuc Says:

It’s interesting to me that people compare Winston to Johnny Football due to their off field issues as a reason why Jameis might be a bust. Johnny Football might be the biggest reason why I think Marcus might be a bust. Similar type college offense responsible for putting up ridiculous numbers that don’t translate to the pros. Same offense that made Nick Folls look like an all pro and don’t forget Mark Sanchez.

  53. The original "Kevin" Says:

The only way I would for sure draft him without question is if he GUARANTEED IN WRITING that a baseball career will NEVER come before playing football in the NFL.

I think he’s the best QB to take, but if there is ANY doubt he would decide to go all Bo Jackson on us then screw him… I’d like to know why he won’t just say it. He doesn’t have to NOT play baseball at all. But why can he not come out and say he will not put baseball before his career in the NFL??? That makes me nervous.

  54. Buc1987 Says:

The original “Kevin”…he’s already said it.

  56. Buccfan37 Says:

Gator fans outnumber any other schools fans in the Tampa Bay area right on up to Gainesville, it’s a given and it runs deeper into the past.

  57. Newbucsfan!!! Says:

  58. Curtis Gatorboy Says:

    @andrew and 87?

Ban me? for what?! speaking my mind? IM a BUc fan just like you. Just because I dont want a guy with MASSIVE off the field problems and what some analyst would call a THUG, i should be banned? Get a grip!

  59. Andrew 1 Says:

Its a shame we prob wont be drafting a RB because this is the best RB group I’ve seen in years. Even a guy like David Cobb, who WAS Minnesota’s offense, could be a starter for any team and he’s ranked 10th in the RBs group on CBS. Just amazing.

  62. Sapp, STFU Says:

Hate to upset you, Joe. But Winston may not be the heir-apparent. As time passes, it becomes more possible that Glazers select Mariota.

  63. bucs4lyfe Says:

Titans Will Embrace Jameis Winston Privately

JOE you really should have came up with a better title for this post, you really got Curtis gatorboy’s attention lol

  64. Buczilla Says:

BTW Original Kevin, so NOT the same thing as Bo Jackson. You can get it in writing, it is called making a stipulation in his contract. That and as any old school Bucs fan can tell you, Bo Jackson told Culverhouse and Company time and time again NOT to draft him because he would absolutely never play for the Bucs.

Rumor was that it had something to do with the great way they handled Doug Williams. Hey wait a minute… Maybe that is Curtis Gatorboy’s connection! He is a Culverhouse!!!

  65. Rrsrq Says:

He probably went to ask who are the receivers for the Titans, because the BUCS have Vincent Jackson. Then he can do like baby boy Manning and JohnElway and tell them if the Bucs does on me, don’t draft me because then I will go play baseball.

  66. Zam Says:

I want Mariota here, but even I feel like that’s reading too much into things.

  67. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

Is this a huge surprise to anyone? I’d be more shocked if the Bucs had declared they were sold on Winston @ #1. He’s certainly got potential, but so does Mariota and Leonard Williams. The Bucs are wise to hold their cards close to their sleeves….they control the draft (unless someone has a Freeman alarm clock and they miss getting the pick in on time).

  68. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

  79. Barry Says:

    Look at @StPete, Pear’s fluffer.

  80. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The debate has degenerated again…….Gators vs Noles….Barry vs the World….

We have had great players from both shools & some bad ones from both.

We have done pretty well with Oklahoma etc…..it really doesn’t matter.

I went to USF when they didn’t have football….so I rooted for both against everyone else…

I am ready for either choice….and hope everyone else eventually is prepared.

I will be in “revolt” mode if we don’t pick one of them…..

  81. Dave Pear Says:

I believe they are the same, just changing their names.
I’ve not tried it, but you might be able to just erase your user
name and type in a new one and magically change your old identity.
He just sounds too much like the racist car thief to me.

  84. Dave Pear Says:

    My thoughts exactly.

  85. Bucfan4life Says:

I would bet my house that Curtiss is just one of those UF redneck racist fans. I guarantee you he is not a UF alum. Just one of those guys that show up in Gainesville on Saturdays in his 1987 Ford pickup wearing a Camouflage Gator ball cap drinking Natty Lights in the parking lot before the game!

  86. ADown88 Says:

Someone wanna fill me in on the whole Barry car thief thing really quick? Lol

  90. Buc1987 Says:

ADown88…seeing how I live here and this is my campsite I can help you.

Barry constantly calls Winston a rapist…daily and non stop.

So one day a poster said to him. Barry I’m accusing you of stealing my car. Doesn’t matter if you did steal it. I’m accusing you of doing it, so that makes it true.

    Hence Barry the car thief.

  91. ADown88 Says:

Gotcha. Yeah, I’m on here all day too and I see everyone call him a car thief, but never knew why. Thanks.

  92. Barry Says:

@Pear you should of pulled a Chris Borland, then you wouldn’t be sitting home retarded. #PEDs #YouSoldYourSoulAndImHearToCollect

  93. Bucfan4life Says:

I am a UCF alum and a Gator fan too, but they do seem to attract the rednecks. Gonna love it when they crown Winston as the pick and all these rednecks and priests hollar about it. 3 years from now when he is in the Pro Bowl they will all change their tunes.

  94. Barry Says:

Don’t let anyone fool you, @Pear and his Groupies attack me because of my stance on Winston. They began with the name calling and Slanderous attacks. Then I realized it was the cheater @Pear and knowing he’s half brain dead from football i’ve tried to let it slide but the fat retard just keeps it up.

  95. Dave Pear Says:

I thought you NEVER called people names?
Barry the lying racist car thief.

  96. Buc1987 Says:

Barry the car thief is the stuff that ONLY happens on JBF.

  103. SteveBucsFan Says:

I am pretty sure Barry the car thief is also the same person who was hijacking user names earlier this month too.

I also think Banzai could be the big dog… But I am not too sure on that one.

  104. Ricky Bell Says:

    This is me, Dave Pear.

  105. ADown88 Says:

Haha! Completely agree on the Bonzai, Bigdog statement. I rarely agree with either of them.

  106. Ricky Bell Says:

    See how easy that is?
    Rinse and repeat.

  107. Dave Pear Says:

    And I’m back.

  108. Buc1987 Says:

Ha ha ha wait til Bonzai comes in here to romper room.

  109. Buc1987 Says:

What’s the matter Barry, people started to ignore your posts. So Curtis was the next best thing?

    What a wuss.

  110. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Pablo wishes this could be a site where Buc fans could treat eachother with respect. Pablo doubts that is possible. Pablo has never raped anyone (they moaned) or stolen a car…(just borrowed without permission)….but Pablo has done some very bad things….in Pablo’s dreams”

  114. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

I’m sure there are more. It’s like they want it to appear that there are more people who dislike Winston than there really is.

    Desperate times, I guess……

  115. Mark Cotney Says:

And Barry is a lying racist car thief!!!

  116. Stanglassman Says:

Can’t help but notice GatorBarry/Curtis stopped all the ” I got a family member who works at One Buc and I know MM is the Pick” stuff as soon as he got laughed off the thread. Now he just says he will cry if Jameis gets drafted #1.

Show us one expert writer who describes Jameis as a thug. There isn’t one because that term is only used by racist and it’s not even close to a good description of the man. BTW Marcus and Manziel have so much more in common and who be a better comparison than to Winston

  117. Dave Pear Says:

    Thanks Mark.
I could not agree with you more.

  118. iamkingsu Says:

  123. Smells like Indira Ghandi's thong Says:

    Winston is the obvious choice.

    It’s as simple as that.

  124. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    @SteveBucsFan @ADown88

lol…I am not Steve. There are times I agree with him, and times I don’t. He tends to react to things impulsively at first, then thinks them through. He’s old school though, so we agree more often than not.

I’m a bit more compassionate than Steve, I think. So long as a person takes responsibility for their actions, I’ll always be there to help them change things for the better.

  125. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I do make my money through writing though.

  126. Buc1987 Says:

40 more days of Barry’s BS. Ugh.

Perhaps he’ll just go away after the draft..if not it will be time to ignore him the rest of the way.

Best not to let this fool drag Joe’s site down.

  127. Buc1987 Says:

Bonzai…lol I had a good laugh at that one.

hey Winston go to Tennessee and stay there!

  129. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

  131. Broy34WontArgueWithStupidity Says:

Can’t wait for the draft. Winston doesn’t visit he’s a punk on the bucs. If he does visit he’s a Titan. Come on now people. If there’s one thing this means is the Bucs interest in Petty might be up. Like Cam a newton and the Panthers no matter how Gabbert looks you still go with upside

really 87 Winston does not care if its the bucs or titans or jets or whoever! he just wants to be picked. well most draftees anyway but he wants the notability and lime lite and money of the number 1 overall pick. and cant say I blame him for the money part.

  133. bucgator Says:

Damn…….I like so many of you guys no matter what your stance is. To see you argue so vehemently at times is distressing. We are going QB at one OR two. ………………………….Can’t that be enough for the QB Crowd?
Jeesh you guys get paid to do whatever it is you do. All I care about is they take a QB now

  134. Broy34WontArgueWithStupidity Says:

Can we stop with the SAME argument every Jameis Watch article. If u wanna start debating fine but don’t start attacking users back and forth and back and forth

  135. Buc1987 Says:

Really mikeh…even though he’s done enough at his young age to warrant being the first pick.

You anti-Winston people need to read 1/4 of the amount stuff I’ve read and watched on this kid over the last 2 months. Then you might have a clue.

Until then you all sound like Charlie Brown’s parents to me.

  136. Dave Pear Says:

These pre-draft articles are reminding me of the movie “Groundhog Day.”
    Same thing over and over.

  137. SteveBucsFan Says:

Then I have heard the Big Dog practically read your posts verbatim on his show then. That’s why I thought that. I bet he trolls these boards. I knew he wasn’t better than me… No matter how many times he tells me he is.

  138. Buc1987 Says:

Broy34WontArgueWithStupidity…this is nothing compared to the summer of 2013 and the Freeman debates.

It really doesn’t even come close to that summer. I think fans wanted to jump through their computer screen at times just to punch another fan in the face.

This stuff only happens at JBF, and yes Joe you’re the ring leader.

WHATEVER!!!! I AGREE THIS HAS BEEN GETTING OLD FOR A LONG TIME NOW! hey 87 I will check back after the draft good luck.

  140. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

“You anti-Winston people need to read 1/4 of the amount stuff I’ve read and watched on this kid over the last 2 months. Then you might have a clue.”

Hahaha, that’s just not physically possible 87. The draft is coming up soon.

  141. Alstott up the Gut Says:

So what if he’s working out for the Titans, he has a private workout in FSU’s Indoor facility tomorrow for the Bucs. Both teams just doing their homework on the kid

  142. Buc1987 Says:

I told Joe he started Jameis Watch too early. Then again he knows what he’s doing.

  143. Buc1987 Says:

41 days 22 hours 23 minutes until the NFL draft.

  144. bucgator Says:

Hey 87, talk to me for a sec. You know that I was against both QBs and wanted to trade down from day one. You also know that I have never bashed Winston. I now realize we are going QB 99% and Im on board. If I raise a Question about Winston that doesn’t make me ‘anti Winston ‘ does it?

GO BUCS! oh shet! joe bucs fan. sorry.

  146. Buc1987 Says:

Ha ha ha wth am I going to do with myself after they draft Winston?

Find a new hobby. Perhaps take up a cooking class or get into classical music.

I’m getting up there in age, so I might enjoy classical music seeing how I like every other genre of music there is.

  147. Buc1987 Says:

bucgator…of course not, but it can’t be some new question. I’m pretty sure all the questions have been asked and answered over the past 2 months.

    Oh it’s been a loooong 2 months.

ODB…do you have that time machine built yet?

  148. iamkingsu Says:

I visited somewhere other than this site earlier today and I wasn’t aware of all these mariota lovers out there. The ish was disgusting I can tell that they have never seen him play a down of football at Oregon. Please don’t push the Buc’s brass to draft that bumb. Yes I said bumb and will continue to keep saying it

  149. MTM Says:

Winston has every tight to go to any work out. Nothing is guaranteed.

  150. ben Says:

bucs DONT DRAFT WINSTON…PLEASE.. Bucs need the other guy(M.M.) who is NOT a thug as the face of our team.

  151. iamkingsu Says:

The pick is Winston not because Joe keeps on posting these useless Jameis watch threads but because he’s has the ability to beome an all time great qb. I mean like actual top 5 qb of all time. He’s different he just has it!

  152. Dave Pear Says:

    Hi Barry.
    You lying racist car thief!

  153. bucgator Says:

If People like ‘labels’ so much then just call me a “Diehard” Bucs fan. I did not miss a home game, on the second row 40 yrd line from 76 to 96 and I was 9 when that trend started. 3000 miles away I still live and breathe Bucs ball. I still rag my dad for selling those tix when we hired Dungy

  154. tval Says:

Everyone saying winston isnt a slam dunk prospect, like luck, should try and remember what luck did in college to warrant that type of praise..my opinion is the stanford connection has been as positive for him in football as it wldve been in the business world. Understandably, youd like your franchise qb to be a saint with above average intelligence. How about a player who played on higher level in college, has equal love for the game, and is equally intelligent in the class/film room and just might be a more electric leader/playmaker..and as someone whose admired and followed qbs for 30+ years, jameis and aaron rodgers are 1, 2, as far as my views of their potential coming out..aaron vs usc and jameis vs pitt (his debut) were the 2 best pocket qb performances ive seen the last 15-20 years, easily, probably more..i wldnt even take rg’esque trade for jameis..that much potential

  155. bucgator Says:

I got ya 87. Good to see you coming back down to earth my brother.

  156. lurker Says:

do you mean bum or bump? perhaps bubbe or bubbeleh?

  157. Buc1987 Says:

I haven’t come back down to earth quite yet.

I’m still trying to make wagers about the kid…

No one will bet me. Erik’s the only one.

  158. Todd Says:

Joe your going to be upset when the bucs pick williams

  159. iamkingsu Says:

I was putting an emphasis on the ending. Its sounds more convincing when you’re actually saying it out of your mouth than when you add the extra m’s to it that makes it sound like you’re whining. I’m of a different race and sometimes like to speak in a different vernacular. If that’s ok with you??

  160. Dave Pear Says:

I wouldn’t count on you actually collecting on that bet.
It would be nice to think that an anonymous poster would
honor his word and pay up.
Just not seeing that happening though.

  161. bucgator Says:

Yeah, see it how you will. In my opinion you got out of a rational zone for a while. I understand your plight tho

  162. Buc1987 Says:

iamkingsu and tval …and to think he’s going to be on OUR team…

This can’t get here fast enough for me. We and I have waited decades for this.

I love this team with all my heart.

Like Pawn Stars. In my house family comes first, then the Bucs, depending on who you ask.

  163. bucgator Says:

I am actually pretty sure Eric would pay up Dave Pear.

  164. iamkingsu Says:

I thought if I spelled the word wrong twice then people would figure out that it was done intentionally

  165. Buc1987 Says:

Dave Pear…he’s got a website and his business is located in St Pete. I have the address.

He’s also told me he’s meeting me at the draft day party.

My wife will kick the living crap out of me if they draft Mariota and I have to buy him a Mariota jersey.

I know what I’m doing. I’m a wicked smaaart gambler from Massachusetts.

  166. Dave Pear Says:

    Cool. He should.

  167. lurker Says:

so not a silent “b” but a hard, pronounced “b”. just trying to figure it out. urban dictionary states “homeless person”. just trying to figure out what you meant. adding a “b” to a word or more “m’s” does not sound more convincing, but whatever. i did not know you were typing in a dialect and was trying to figure out the mariota insult.

    thank you.

  168. Dave Pear Says:

    We aren’t drafting Mariota.
    Enjoy your free jersey!

  169. lurker Says:

that is why i tossed out 2 yiddish words. i was honestly trying to learn if it was what i thought or some other slang. there are plenty of words and phrases that i do not know.

  170. iamkingsu Says:

    Its you’re and not “your”

Blame @lurker he started it lolol

  171. bucgator Says:

Hey 87 you need to join me at PokerStars

  172. Buc1987 Says:

Perhaps Erik and I can get together at the draft party with his smaaart phone to take a picture of him buying me the jersey online. Ha ha ha.

Probably won’t be available right away though….I hope you can order it right then and there.

  173. lurker Says:

87 had been offering a jersey bet for a while. he had finally given up but the next day, erik of the power of pills, stepped up.

  174. bucgator Says:

Well guys. It is 8:30 and I have to do payroll for tomorrow.
Peace out and keep arguing over Which QB we will take. I dont care. Just take one Now.

  175. Dave Pear Says:

    They’ll be ready.
Kind of like when you walk out of a Gator-FSU game
and they are already selling the T-Shirts with the score on them.

  176. Buc1987 Says:

Todd…Joe won’t be the only one upset. Go to the draft day party and watch me start a riot in the streets over them trading down or taking Williams.

Molotov cocktails might get thrown. It might be as bad as Ferguson.

Anarchy at Ray Jay…tonight at 11 on Channel 10.

  177. lurker Says:

    Its you’re and not “your”

Blame @lurker he started it lolol

i take full responsibility for proper grammar and spelling use on this site…except capitalization…lmao

improper grammar and spelling responsibility goes to mikeh.

  178. Buc1987 Says:

    lol power of pills.
    Good night gator

  179. Buc1987 Says:

a.k.a. Meth Mike a.k.a DEFENSE NO WINSTON

  180. bucgator Says:

Peace to you too 87 and for god’s sake dont say g-a-t-r without the hyphens , lol

  181. iamkingsu Says:

    @todd @87

And I’ll be leading the charge. Someone is going to “personally” have to show me thee old smoking gun that came up in his backround. I’m not going to take anyone’s word for it I personally need to see the proof

  182. Buc1987 Says:

No worries. The Bucs are going to have their VERY first real franchise QB.

    No Steve Young doesn’t count.

  183. distraughtfan Says:

Not sure who the Bucs will draft but Jameis knows how to attract men of the same gender. Forget about the women trying to chase after him, just look at how many men are attracted to him, just on this site alone.
Man some of you guys are all over Winston’s sack like a Michael Sam… Pathetic!!!

  184. iamkingsu Says:

    Who hurt you??

  185. lurker Says:

    pathetic is your homophobic gay-bashing.

  186. iamkingsu Says:

Some of you guys are just angry for no reason sheeesh

  187. Buc1987 Says:

distraughtfan…oh I’m crushed. I’m talking about our first franchise QB in team history too much for your liking.

If you bend down far enough, you might be able to go ef yourself.

  188. iamkingsu Says:

So bleacher report is basically saying the exact same thing that I said a few days ago?? That it was the nfl’s decision for winston to stay home?? Go figure

  189. danati74 Says:

I can’t wait till this guy is a Buc and we can get rid of all the dead weight.

  190. Buc1987 Says:

This from the Titans SB Nation blog.

    By Jimmy Morris

“I would say there is a 99% chance that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are taking Jameis Winston with the first pick. The only reason that percentage isn’t 100 is because of Winston’s issues off the field. His on the field talent is undeniable. Winston isn’t in the can’t miss category, but he is a guy that you have to take with the first pick if you need a quarterback.”

  191. cmurda Says:

Hello there. Is it almost draft time?

  192. Noleriff Says:

Okay…had enough and can’t keep quiet any longer…first of all, Curtis…you’re the epitome of an uninformed, liberal media chasing tool….if they put it on tv it MUST be true…get real….yes, I’m a Nole alum, and yes I admit my bias….that being said I’ve also been a Bucs fan since ’76 and my current career in the Tallahassee area gives me intimate knowledge of the details of Winston’s alleged indiscretions…don’t ask for any more info because I love my job too much…with that, I will tell you that Jameis is the furthest thing from being a thug…he’s actually a really good kid who’s done some stupid s$#t…..just like all of us …Mettenberger and Manning were both accused of the same and yet Curtis and his Klan have no problem ignoring that….fact is that Jameis is the best QB in this draft…and he has the IT that Mariota doesn’t. …that simple……so BARRY…quit drinkin the liberal SEC koolaid and get over it….this kid WILL make us better

  193. Andrew 1 Says:

hmmm, noleriff… sheriff…. that was a tough one to crack lol. Sorry for just blowing your cover noleriff. Well, a sheriff in the Tallahassee area would be a lot more informed on Winston’s indiscretions than the rest of us. Glad to hear he’s not as big of a scumbag as some of these Winston haters think.

  194. Newbucsfan!!! Says:

I thought that there was a variety of schools represented here but I can see that Florida schools are the vast majority, oh well this is a Bucs site. Carry on my fellow college graduates.

  195. cmurda Says:

The entire offseason especially including the combine has backed up what you said. The guy is no different than myself when I was his age. In fact, I was probably worse. It’s amazing how many angels we have on this site.

  196. Josh P. Says:

Is drinking soda out of ketchup cups and taking a $32 hand out worth of crab legs all it takes to be a thug?? I’ve been playing the game all wrong.

But on a serious note, concerned for Curtis’ health for when the Bucs do take Winston..He’s clearly going to go off the deep end..There’s just no way he will be able to root for this kid even if he is hitting Evans in the end-zone for 6 every sunday..you know because Winston’s such a Thug…

  197. Josh P. Says:

I know i was wild and immature between 18-21 and did a few things i regret…And then i woke up and joined the military and it change the person i am..People aren’t even giving this kid a chance to mature, writing him off before he even takes his first snap. He’ll prove everyone wrong..No matter what teams he’s on ill be a fan.

  198. Mariota Joe Says:

Josh P. …..did you do the things that HE did? I doubt it. Go ahead and bash me (which is kinda funny, since Winston is the subject here, not me), but all we talk about here, supporters and detractors, are things like “red flags” and “risk” and “immaturity”. In my opinion, choosing him will further crush the fan base, and (further) crush the product on the field.

  199. JW5allday Says:

Just so all of you uneducated Bucs fans can be a little more educated then you were yesterday (seeing as you do not know how to use google), Andrew Luck visited the Washington Redskins even though it was widely considered he would be the number one pick to the Colts.. Sorta like its widely considered JW will be drafted number 1 to the bucs! Try using your own brain from time to time and use the tools available to you to get educated. All I see on this board are dumb @$$ MFers who just spout from their mouth with no research to backup their claims.. Classic America these days I guess..

  200. Josh P Says:

    @Mariota Joe

While i was between the ages of 18-21

Have taken soda from the fountain at fast food chain with out paying? Check

Have i been given hand outs from a store with out paying? Check

Have i cussed in a large group of people before? Check

I guess im just a big bad Thug….

You guys can stop with this holier than thou front, no one is buying it..98% of us have tripped up more than once in our past and learned from our mistakes to become mature adults. Why isn’t Winston given that same opportunity to show that he has matured and learned from his mistakes?

  201. MadMax Says:

    Well said JW5.

  202. Josh P Says:

    @Mariota Joe

“In my opinion, choosing him will further crush the fan base, and (further) crush the product on the field.”

Do you actually think if the Bucs take Winston the fans are going to be crushed?? thats laughable…All he has to do is win games and this fan base will be all for him..The majority of this fan base(specially the ones on this site) wanted the Bucs to sign Greg Hardy who was actually charged with domestic violence.. you keep preaching though..

  203. Josh P Says:

If they actually do research then it will discredit their agenda….so you know thats not happening.

  204. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    It’s not “Banzai”. It’s “Bonzai”.

As in Buccaneer Bonzai, a play off Buckeroo Bonsai (showing my age).

  205. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Buc1987 Says
“Ha ha ha wth am I going to do with myself after they draft Winston?”

If your pattern continues as it has year after year, you will be busy making signs that say “Start !” by game 4.

  206. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Dave Pear Says
    Hi Barry.
    You lying racist car thief!”

Are not all car thieves racers? Or at least drive fast? 😉

  207. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    Buc1987 Says:
“I know what I’m doing. I’m a wicked smaaart gambler from Massachusetts.”

You DO realize 33 percent of the people here have seen you lose bets before, right?

  208. Buc1987 Says:

I thought it was around 37%.

  209. Buc1987 Says:

Bonzai those are good odds for the other side.

You people should place your bets now. I have a track record of losing.

    Typical Bucs fan.

  210. ColoradoBuc Says:

CurtisGatorBoy: Stop with the “POS” and “thug” crap, lest people start thinking the same of you.

  211. Caleb Says:

Since you know do much maybe you should go get a job with the Bucs and tell them your thoughts about why you thinks Jamies should be our franchise QB. Just in case you didn’t know Rodgers sat for his first 3-4 years to develop. The Bucs are expecting Jamie’s to come in and start right away, not a good way to bring a rookie QB along in the NFL. I don’t know why I’m telling you anything though, you’ve been watching QBs for 30 yrs… Please man. What they do in college doesn’t mean a thing, except that they most of the time trick NFL teams to draft the with the number one overall pick, and then when the play in a league where everyone is good with a few great players in the mix as well. That’s when they realize that the NFL is for men with talent, not immature kids with talent.

Jamies is still an immature kid, and for him to be good he’d need to watch for a few years on the NFL to see what it takes to be a man with talent.

But hey everyone don’t take my word for it @tval been watching QBs for 30 yrs so he knows it all. QB is the Hardest position to judge, that’s why NFL teams miss a lot more often than get it right.

  212. mikeh Says:

the biggest aholes! award goes to 87-lurker-dunn- luther-have a nice day!

  213. mikeh Says:

by the way w.dunn it is ok for 87 to change his screen name though right because he loves your boy Winston right! get a life. I have never come across more people that think they are so smart and perfect than you Winston clowns. just pathetic. oh! lurker did I spell anything wrong? idiot. now I know why you people are on here 24/7 you must have very few friends. because who could stand you wow!

  214. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

    You’re such a delicate flower.

It’s somewhat ironic that the guy who pretty much calls someone an idiot in every other post, would be complaining about people acting smart.

  215. Barry Says:

NFL star Darren Sharper charged with rape in fourth different city.

Never mind, thought is was someone else.

    #TheCreepyCrab #DP #BrainDeadRetard

  216. lurker Says:

“Just in case you didn’t know Rodgers sat for his first 3-4 years to develop.”

ummmmmmm no way caleb. he sat for 3 years because they had brett favre starting, silly. it was not to develop. smh. we do not have brett favre or anyone close. we have glennon. it will not be hard for mr. winston to surpass glennon, desoite you calling him immature.

but you go with your mature, grown-up self and your posts with snide comments based upon an improper premise. you go, caleb. (you are ironic.)

  217. lurker Says:

    just ignore the trolls.

  218. Caleb Says:

Haha, lurker. I must say I always love your combative nature when it comes to what anyone has to say that you don’t agree with. I understand your point. All I’m trying to say is that the packers did it a smart way by drafting a QB that they could develop. Good fun buddy. Just my opinion, I don’t think Winston is NFL ready from day one and with that said I don’t think it’s smart to draft a player that’s not ready to make an impact from day one with the # 1 overall pick. Just my opinion. But keep it coming with your negativity towards me, I enjoy your intelligent insight when it comes to what you think is best for the Bucs.

One of the few on here that I’ll deem a response too because you actually know what you’re talking about. Even though sometimes I think you get a little carried away I’ll show respect for you knowledge of the team and the sport.

  219. mikeh Says:

your a effin troll lurker ya little kiss a$$. just like your pals get a life oh wait this is IT!
