Is It Crezdon Butler’s Time Again?

November 7th, 2014

lovie and lichtTampaBay.com Bucs beat writer was Twittering non-sightings from Bucs practice this morning and revealed unsettling but expected news.

With wide receivers Roddy White, Julio Jones, Bucs-killer Harry Douglas and Devin Hester coming to down, Alterraun Verner remained a spectator at practice for the third day this week.

If you’re unfamiliar with Crezdon Butler, he’s the cornerback who started in place of Johnthan Banks in the home chain-whipping by Baltimore last month.

Butler, 27, was a Sept. 10 pickup by Tampa Bay after he was among the final preseason cuts of the Chargers. The Bucs are Butler’s sixth NFL team since he was drafted in the fifth round out of Clemson by the Steelers in 2010.

Man, the Bucs are in a tough spot come Sunday. It’s hard to imagine the Falcons having a bad day offensively. Josh McCown is going to have to make quite a few plays.

it could get ugly once again. you know matt ryan is going to after this guy butler all day and leonard johnson who totally sucks. the only way the bucs could win this game is if our d line pressures ryan all day. we shall see go bucs.

Don’t we want to lose this game…..at least according to the “tank mob”…..

That way we can give Lovie & Licht (the ones they want to fire because of being poor judges of talen) a top draft selection.

So…..that’s why Lovie is going with thiis guy……to lose!!!

Its not where you select…..its who!!!

Start Ryan in fantasy. All of his weapons are healthy.

If the Bucs lose this game at home they suck, again. I’m thinking another close game and McCown finding some positive followers here in Bucsville. Go Bucs, win one for the homers, and the jethros.

Butler won’t play any worse then Verner played last week… Verner looked so bad I was almost relieved when I found out he had a bum hammy…

Kick it to hester all day..

As awesome as our ST is I say kick to Hester all day all the time. Not like he can have another career day against us can it? Oh, and for those screaming we should have taken him, he hasn’t done squat since he played us.

Verner and Banks are both adequate starters talent wise IMO assuming they both continue to improve in the system. But with Leonard Johnson as your 3rd corner and a guy like this coming in when a starter goes down – you know this position needs some serious attention personnel wise in the offseason. Problem is we also need upgrades at QB, DE, MLB, Safety and at least 3 spots on the OL. If we have a top 3 pick and get an opportunity to trade down – that’s the only way to seriously address all these needs. Trying to plug multiple holes with free agents is a bad (and expensive) way to go.
