Today’s Floppy Hat Club Includes Johnson, Mankins & Seferian-Jenkins

September 10th, 2014

The official injury report isn’t out yet, but the key wounded Buccaneers were wearing a floppy hat today and watching practice in the sun at One Buc Palace.

Not good.

Shown here in the floppy hat club, from left to right, Michael Johnson (ankle), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (wearing a walking boot on his right foot), limping Logan Mankins and Charles Sims. (Doug Martin is also sitting out, per The Tampa Tribune.)

Michael Johnson signing = Eric Wright signing

  2. Buc1987 Says:

    A line taken from a Pat’s blog.

“The most popular blame for Patriots fans has so far been the trade of Logan Mankins”.

It seems Pats fans are blaming the loss to the Fins on the trade of Mankins.
Man we need this guy to get back for this game really bad.

Walking boot for ASJ? Is that good or bad news?

  3. RastaMon Says:

    Is there room for Lovie…

  4. BucTrooper Says:

9 years in New England… never misses a game.

24 minutes in Tampa Bay. Injured.

  5. DallasBuc Says:

More excuses for our high-priced FA! I normally do not blame a player for lack of production if they suffer injury but I am willing to make an exception in Michael Johnson’s case. This guy is not good. Coaches and fanboys need to stop making excuses for him.

  6. robert9 Says:

trading tim wright was pure jenius.

thats sarcasm for those not aware

Proof that Pats fans are just as crazy as Bucs fans. An OG should never be a make or break situation, its a team effort.

  8. Buc1987 Says:

buc’d Up…it all depends if the fans saw the tape and if Brady was getting pressured from Mankins side to me anyways. Maybe it weakened their O-line pretty bad.

  9. nate_tweetz Says:

Martin won’t be missed if out. Mankins and ASJ definitley will. I guess the MJ injury is why we resigned Larry English. We didn’t see alot of Larry, but at least when we did, he seemed to have some speed coming off the edge. Our DE’s are just way too slow. MJ and Clayborn have failed to beat anyone off the edge (no surprise with Clayborn). I hope at least one of these guys can come through with a decent season. I know it’s crying over spilled, old, dried up milk, but every time I see Bennett making plays for the Sea Hawks I want to throw my remote through my TV. SMDH.

    You really have issues

  11. Jon Says:

Again I am worried that L&L can not evaluate talent and are making poor decisions in trades.

I really have issues? Please explain? I am talking sports on a sports site. You are not talking sports and harassing me. And I have issues?

  13. Brandon Says:

One effing game, guys. Chill the eff out.

  14. panhandle buc Says:

what about Golsthon? Is he still hurt?

  15. Architek Says:

    Guys Really???

One game and all is lost?

No one predicts a 11-5 or 13-3 season.

We all were in the range of 7 to 9 wins so that’s what we see. But all the bickering and whining is childish! The Bucs lacked toughness and effort but the sky is not falling in Tampa so relax and enjoy our mediocre franchise.

  16. Boomer33 Says:

Robert9. What is jenius? I cannot find that word in the dictionary.

  17. Charlie V Says:

where can i buy a floppy Buc’s hat? maybe Joe should merchandise them!

  18. BucTrooper Says:

You know how they sell replica jerseys?

The Bucs should sell replica floppy hats and knee braces… JUST LIKE THE PROS!!!

  19. mtm Says:

As a Bucs fan I am not as concerned about last weeks pies poor game as I am about the injuries. It is beyond ridiculous at this point. Every other starter is hurt, can’t practice etc… same sh&t every year it seems.

  20. DB55 Says:

Didn’t clayborn have a sack that was called back bc of a penalty? As always. I swear I saw him sack Anderson.

    Couldn’t find Jenius either
    But
Looked up stupidity, and it said”see Robert9 or DallasBuc”
Ah, give it up for the oldies but goodies!!

There’s a couple of those guys, that we are gonna sorely miss.

  22. Capt.Tim,Back from Davie Jones's Locker Says:

You guys don’t think, that meybe Mankins didn’t have time to Aclimate to the ferocious Florida Heat. He was only here a week.

Meybe that means something, meybe not.
It’s just too bad, that he didn’t have time to unpack, before he was forced to start a game.

4 preseason games, and our lousy O-line coach didn’t have anyone capable of starting at Left guard, and gradually introducing Mankins for the first game??
    Nobody?
    Why is cousins still here?
Why isn’t 2012 probowler Incognito here?
Even though the line played a little better last week, we still need a new line Coach. Seems like every move there is out of desperation!! He was here all off season- yet we are signing guys ,and starting them, the same week(Mankins,Gilkey)???
    Yeah- new O-line coach time

  23. Robert7 Says:

Jenius is a way to show the half wits who think their smart but don’t realize they got played

HA ha ha ha that’s hilarious stuff man. It’s so much easier for me this season to laugh when I read stuff like this, because I didn’t shell out for season tickets again. Taking it one game at a time until these a-hole’s start showing me something.

@Joe …seriously you should have a JBF commenters HOF. Put some of the funniest stuff ever put down on these boards in it’s own section where people can go there and crack up. I know you don’t have the time for it, but it would be great!

  25. Buc1987 Says:

robert9 …the G button is next to the H to the left of it.

How’s you’re Madden 15 doing this year kiddo?

“toughest player I know” -Belichick on Makins..

First offensive series, injured LOL. So much heart there.

Im starting to kick around the label “injury prone” to ASJ. Man up. You have been hurt since you got here.
