Brian Urlacher Is Lending A Hand

September 5th, 2014

Tampa Bay linebacker and special teams ace Dane Fletcher spent years with new Bucs All-World guard Logan Mankins in New England. Today, he opened up about Mankins and his new mentor from afar: former Bears great and Lovie Smith disciple Brian Urlacher.

Fletcher talked about how he sought Urlacher’s guidance this offseason and how he hopes their student-teacher relationship will be ongoing. Also, Fletcher weighed in on how blown away he was by Mankins playing a Super Bowl and more on a torn ACL. “The toughest man probably I’ve ever met,” Fletcher said.

He also offered a take on what makes things different in Tampa when it comes to the focus on special teams.
